On the whole Barmston Beach is a good park.
Only let down by the lack of disabled access. Also the array of chairs and tables limiting access. To scooters and wheelchairs.
This park needs a serious look at welcoming disabled guests.

Crimdon Dene Holiday Park
Reception staff very friendly paid for a wider mobile home with balcony which was very clean unfortunately found the baby changing in clubhouse unacceptable very dirty was reported but few days later had still not been cleaned thought food was a little over priced heard lots of people complaining about the prices
Campsite in a lovely area with good sea views but no easy access to the beach had enjoyable holiday apart from baby changing facilities which needs sorting

Just tried to contact this outfit again. Can only contact by chat I am 35 in queue. oarkdean this is not a good look.
My gripe is that a final balance payment of£11 should have been taken today. They have taken £60????

Absolute scam of a company. I have been unable to speak to anyone directly, they just direct you to their live chat. We tried to amend our dates due to a change in circumstances, even asked if we could pay a fee to change, but we have been told we can only change the booking over to someone else by finding our own cover and paying £40! Now we are forced to cancel and lose £370!! Absolutely shocking!!
Oh and regarding Park Deans reply, nobody has been intouch regarding booking details so again.... scam

Absolute scam of a company. unable to speak to anyone directly, they just direct you to their live chat agents, who are very rude and unhelpful. We were attempting to amend our dates due to my wife falling pregnant, the terms state this is subject to a £40 charge, which is fine. However, the terms do not state they are unable to amend to the next year (2026) and the live chat agent even admitted that this is not in the terms, but still unable to amend. There is no valid reason for this, other than forcing you to cancel and lose your money. I have screenshots of the agent admitting that this is not in the terms, and therefore not legally binding.

We stayed at Skipsea last weekend, never again caravan dirty cooker all grease and outside table covered in muck from previous people, complained they said a manager would come and look, i dont know if they did but i had to return to caravan for something to find the cleaner in with a bottle of spray and a dirty cloth, she was on her way out and when i looked at table outside she had not even cleaned it,
Cooker was no different wethen decided to leave early.
I mean when your only away 3 nights you dont expect to spend your time complaining,
When i returned home i put a formal complaint in and have been offered £32 80 which doesnt even cover the cost of 1 nights stay and then you have to book another stay to reveive it.
I have no intention of booking another stay.

Please, please avoid Sandylands Park in Ayrshire.
In an industrial estate next to a slaughter house and the most depressing, soulless holiday park I've ever seen. In a major state of disrepair. The main complex is like something from an 80s horror movie.
Very misleading pictures online of a lovely looking pool full of smiley, happy children and in reality the "pool" is a small puddle in what looks like an old warehouse or shipping container. No windows, all grey and bleak with broken lockers and scruffy changing area. The spectator section is a corner of the warehouse with 6 fold down plastic chairs. And that's if you can even get booked in! Complained and was told the pictures online are used across all parks and are for illustrative purposes only. Very dishonest and misleading.
0 fun or engaging activities available and this wasn't communicated until after we had booked a non refundable stay.
Happy to continue selling holidays knowing those families won't be able to participate in anything. Again I've been told tough, and t&c state you aren't guaranteed any fun whilst on site.
No advertised character meet and greets. They appear for 10 mins a day apparently, but the time isn't publicised, and guess what? if you can't mind read and guess correctly when and where they will be, tough!
Playpark broken. Tough
Lots of arcades machines not working. Tough.
Restaurant slow and gets your order wrong.
Tough.
"Football" section is 2 old rusty goals in a very small, disused car park next to the road leading up to the caravans so not safe for wee ones with basic road safety knowledge.
Just the worst break we've ever had and general manager only willing to "take comments on board" and not to offer any form of goodwill gesture for wasting our time and money.
Complained to Head Office and got nothing but cheeky and sarcastic replies back from "Ryan". Trading Standards, Environmental Health and ABTOT are your only choices for getting anywhere as the complaints procedure with Parkdean is non existent. They just laugh at you and taunt you for wasting your money.
Please do not waste your money - book a Haven stay for £50 more and actually get a tiny bit of joy and some customer service.

Our experience was great due to the staff, the girls in reception were lovely and Barry the touring warden was fantastic. His local knowledge of the area is second to none! He is a funny, kind man!

Not a great experience! We found the caravan clean but had not been checked, no loo roll and horribly stained toilets. Nothing else provided, (for example small washing up liquid), only one bin bag. There were two very small duck ponds, not what we had imagined, and a long way from our caravan on this big site. Finally although we sorted our recycling, at the bins no clear signage, nowhere to put waste, had to use hands to open them as foot pedals not accessible. We won't stay here again.

I honestly feel if the customer service was better, I wouldn’t be feeling so disappointed with this site. Just want to feel heard and feel reassured someone will get help me.
We stayed at camber sand site. 7 (3 adults 4 kids) of us in one caravan.
Knowing it was going to be tight. We booked a particular caravan that suited all our needs. Even down the layout we wanted one bedroom at one end of caravan, two showers. ( most importantly) veranda for safety for the kids and the need for extra safe space for outside. The amount of times the kids could get out the door and straight on to the road! (Wasn’t always able to lock the door) And Extra wide. .. and thinking we had found the perfect one. However, with no warning we turned up to a totally different one.
They say extra wide. Pretty sure it wasn’t. No veranda. one shower that just about worked. Plus the oven didnt work.
We paid for early check in which was totally wasted. As we were trying to get to the bottom of why we hadn’t been provided with the caravan we had paid for . Turns out the caravan we had paid for, is in such bad condition it had to be taken off site! No one seemed to want to give us the heads up about this!
There is so much more that went wrong on our holiday.
And I’ve logged a complaint and now what’s getting to me. Literally no one seems to want to take responsibility of my complaint. Hence why I’m on here in hope I might get someone to look into this for me. Honestly, Customer service is shocking! Even on site I just felt like no one could help. I had to speak to head office. Which I’ve done. And surprisingly no one can help there either! I’m just totally shocked that they seem to think it’s ok to change what you have paid for and you have to put up with it. You’ve paid and that’s all parkdean care about.
Cheers.

Eyemouth Thought I had booked dog friendly caravan. On arrival we were told our caravan was not dog friendly no other was available we could stay in it but had to pay £49 for deep clean when we left. Well that was a joke. Arrived at caravan broking picnic table and bench lying at back of it. Had to get sleeves up and clean grill pan covered in fat before we used it and this company have the cheek to charge extra for deep clean after a pet incase of allergies. 🤣 What about our allergy to a dirty cooker .
Outside area at club not good seats & tables very dirty some had seagull 💩 On the plus side receptionists very helpful.
Have booked My Grannies Heilan Hame next year so hopefully will be a nicer experience.

Warmwell parkdean July 2024
First time using Parkdean and will never return. Two bed lanehouse lodge was filthy. Blood spots on bathroom walls, mould on bedroom door, carpets very dirty, what looked like sick down the side of the toilet.
Revolting.
We have all become ill on our return.
Do not go!

I’m visiting the UK and booked a caravan with Parkdean. I paid in full upon booking and I have a confirmation stating I paid in full. Later that evening i received an email stating I owed another £60. No explanation. The email said they would cancel if I did not pay right away the additional money. I sent an email to customer relations with no reply. I tried calling their number, with no answer.
Thank you for your reply, apology, and promise of a refund.

We were unfortunately forced to cancel our trip booked through ParkDean due to my wife being diagnosed with brain cancer approx 4 weeks before departure. Thankfully we did take out the cancellation cover.
Initial contact through a chat option was fine, i was to email the cancellation through to ParkDeans with proof of the diagnosis.
I sent off a discharge letter from the A&E dept after my wife had a seizure which led to the discovery of the brain tumour, an appointment letter from my wifes Oncology Consultant, consent form giving permission to conduct Radiotherapy on my wifes head and finally a list of dates when the Radiotherapy would take place which would take place whilst on holiday had we were able to travel.
I thought that this would be ample proof of the cancellation reason.......sadly not for ParkDean, i needed a medical letter saying my wife was not fit to travel.
I was shocked by ParkDean lack of common sense, empathy, caring and overall handling of our cancellation. I know they have to check but if use a bit of common with evidence of the diagnosis it just eliviates further stress on our situation. Clearly ParkDean does not see their customers as customers mearly as nobodies and take their money, hardearned money at that, there is no outstanding customer service in any aspects of their company. Then to my utter horror 24 hours after having to pay my wifes GP surgery to supply a non fit travel form ParkDean then accepts the documents initially sent. As well as the stressful time we are going through and further cost to get out money back we have our refund.
ParkDean, you need to use common sense and not do things by the book. Will we use ParkDean again.......certainly not and would not recommend.

Parkdean I have gone through my emails and can not find any email from you , I need to sort this out and send you the pictures to show you have the disgusting your resort was ! I have pictures of the filth you make families pay for ! When you do complain you have staff who write nothing down! Can you email me.moreover Parkdean Worse place on earth (the lizard Cornwall )disgusting is an under statement! How they can let people pay to come here is beyond me!
The caravan wasn’t clean and even had dirty plates, food and wine in drawers , mouldy sheets, left items covered in so much dust is will make you feel sick ! Plus the decking area had used teabags, beer bottle caps, etc
Told could just walk in for swimming did this told owners only! If your lucky enough to complain to Barry at reception he doesn’t write anything down and just laughs and asked if he could pick up the wine!
I booked up another parkdean for October I can’t put family through this again! Don’t come here your regret it !

Park dean camber sands! We came in 2022 and had a nice time, so this time upgraded to a caravan with a veranda, party of 7, 3 children 4 adults. We had to leave early as my husband has major food poisoning! E. coli to be exact! We spent £100 on a food order at the boat house, which was on our table less than 4 minutes later! So definitely wasn’t cooked fresh! Myself and my kids didn’t eat our burgers because they was pink and the bottom bun was wet and soggy, but my poor husband ate his because he didn’t want to waste it. Well, he’s had non stop sickness and diarrhoea for 12 hours now, he’s so poorly, he’s the only one who ate the burger and the rest of us are fine. The weather was also terrible so we was bound to our caravan nearly the whole time, Wi-Fi didn’t work and tv kept losing signal so we had nothing to do!
