This company is a joke, my daughter woke up on the morning of our trip with Chicken pox. They told me still to travel and they didn’t care if everyone else in the camp got it!! Disgrace

Brynowen Holiday Park, Wales
First time we'd done a ParkDean holiday and I'd say we'd do one again. Our kids are 5 and 2 and this site was perfect for them.
Pros:
-Within walking distance to a lovely beach which was very quiet considering it was half term.
- The pool was lovely and warm, perfect for the 2 year old. There was only one slide so if you have older kids would probably be a bit boring for them. But mine are tired after an hour anyway so for younger kids, it was good.
- The caravan was good and clean
- The park and arcade were good additions to the site
- Every staff member we encountered were really friendly and great with the kids. From the reception team, the entertainment team and even the lifeguards at the pool were all really great.
- Borth itself is a really good bolt hole for surrounding activities. We did the silver mountain mining experience and also the miniature railway nearby which the kids adored. Both were around a 30 minute drive away.
Rooms for improvement:
- Areas of the site are definitely dated. The entertainment area is basically a working men's club type vibe which is fine but could use a face-lift.
- If you're not holidaying with the budget of doing a few day trips I can imagine because it's a small cosy site it'd get a little boring. Aside from the pool and park and the arcade there wasn't an awful lot more to do. This was fine for us as we always like to explore.
- Slight miscommunication with app and site rules. We booked a pool slot only to turn up to say it was full and it's now working on a first come first serve basis. They hadn't updated the website? We only had to wait 10 mins before we could go in so it wasn't really a problem but yes, don't allow people to book when they don't need to.
- The pottery painting is a huge rip off. For £7.50, the pottery pieces are those ones you can get from the pound shop and my little girl had done it within 10 minutes. And again, it was in the working men's club with a bit of bloo roll on the tables.
All in all, if you want a good honest, no frills kids caravan camp, particularly for younger ones, this was great, and the staff deserve a lot of recognition!

What a mistake! Booked a week at Parkdean Whitley Bay from 25th Aug 2023. On opening the door the caravan was so dirty we would not put our dog’s beds on the filthy stained carpets. Once reported a lethargic cleaner was left to try and address some of the issues but her efforts were next to useless and resulted in me having to buy a carpet cleaning machine and cleaning materials to make the caravan hygienic to stay in.
After cleaning the sofas, carpet, kitchen floor, shower enclosure and washing all the crockery it was almost up to the standard our government require for illegal migrants to stay in.
I also had to defrost the badly iced up freezer after the same cleaner flooded the sink, cupboards, floor and worktops and then started smashing at the iced up elements with a wooden spoon!
Management attitude stinks! They have offered us an insulting discount of up to £62.10 against a further holiday. Who in their right mind would put themselves through this again even if the holiday was free?
I wanted them to compensate me for the loss of one day of the holiday, for the cleaning materials and hire value of a carpet cleaner. Management however consider their derisory offer is adequate.
This shows Parkdean are happy to force their guest to live in squalor so avoid booking unless you like living in filth!

I've taken a while to post this as I am really still very upset and appalled! We arrived for a touring weekend on 8th Sept at 9.30pm. We were given our pitch which we managed to find. This was alongside a fence. We pulled up our campervan and opened the door, put on the light and the whole van immediately filled with flies of all sizes. It was like something from a horror movie - you couldn't see the ceiling at all and they were climbing the walls. We didn't understand what was going on and in the fluster of trying to get out of the van we locked ourselves out, engine still running and lights on! Our van was facing the campsite where children were asleep in their tents, obviously causing some noise and light pollution. There was no signal at all to contact anyone. We went over to security to see if anyone could help and were told no. We felt we had no choice but to try to prize open the window as the lights were shining onto everyone and the van is noisy at that time of night. Someone lent us a screwdriver. The whole side window shattered! My husband then drove over to security (while being swarmed with flies) to see if they could help. The security person said it was inevitable we would be infested with flies as they had pitched us next to a horse farm!!! I was astounded and very upset. They must have had this issue before if that's the case - why would you pitch people next to a horse farm if they have these problems? We then asked if there was somewhere we could sleep and were told they had nothing. They said we could move to another pitch and they would help us tape up the side window and we would have to sleep there! Glass falling everywhere and the van full of flies!! I again asked why they pitched us next to a horse farm when they had 2 other pitches available, I was told 'the horse farm has always been there, it's not our fault'!! In the end we drove home, glass falling into the van, cardboard at the windows and flies everywhere. We got home at 3.30am and had to pay £700 for a new window. They took our details but we have had no correspondence at all from Ruda! Disgusted doesn't even come close!!!

Paid almost £1000 for a Luxury caravan at Brynowen holiday park. Clwyd 27.
It was a holiday from hell and we are completely disgusted by treatment we have received during and since by parkdean customer service
Spent almost 3 days waiting in for various maintenance people and numerous phonecalls and texts
The broken shower flooded the caravan on day 2 twice !
The boiler didn't work
The shower door was faulty and dangerous
The caravan smelt of sewage
There were thousands of cigarette butts all over grass we had to report to have cleaned up
The floor was ripped in various places, the couch was absolutely filthy, and underneath was clearly not cleaned for a long time. the front door was broken, there was holes in both the bathroom doors
The swimming pool had things floating in it and was freezing. Changing facilities a disgrace with 4 dirty changing cubicles and broken lockers and nowhere to change a disabled child as everyone using the disabled facilities to change
There is literally nothing indoors for children apart from a tiny arcade
The play park is up a huge hill and when pushing a wheelchair pram is practically impossible
Have made formal complaint and basically called a liar when I have photographic evidence! I will be taking this further

Sadly this is to totally warn anyone off Park Dean that expects any form of understanding or empathy shown if you have disabilities within your family.
I'm writing following my recent stay at Sandbanks resort 07/2023
The resort at Sanford, Dorset itself was lovely and the staff delightful; sadly the accommodation was not.
I had booked a dog friendly accommodation which I have done on many occasions at various holiday parks and have always been happy, so did not expect anything to be different on my first Park Dean experience.
However, the accommodation itself was filthy and the smell when we arrived was so strong that we had to go and buy air freshener and carpet spray. The furniture was filthy, the carpet was terrible and to say it had not seen a decent clean in months would be an understatement.
Not only that the accommodation was not safe as it had damaged areas with a leak in the toilet that gave off the most disgusting fishy smell.
It is not that I even expect 5 stars, even though previously I have stayed in some amazing accommodations despite having a pet. I just didn't expect this disappointment as I can assure you that I am a dog owner and my home does not look or smell as bad as this so I would not expect to go away and stay in paid accommodation that looked this way. To be fair when you pay this amount of money, regardless of your pet you expect decent accommodation.
We decided to just make the best of it as within my party were my 3 young boys, 2 of which have autism and complex learning needs. Arriving at this was not pleasant but we decided to not approach staff at the resort as the boys had already entered the accommodation and to change that then with no forward planning of this transition would have been more upsetting for them. I certainly wouldn't have had any guests in this accommodation dog or otherwise. We cleaned made safe and made the best of it. On returning home I wrote to the customer relations with all my photos and explaining my situation to which their reply was 'I am sorry you did not approach the team whilst you were here with us as we could of had the unit recleaned and a carpet clean if required, however as you did not give us the chance to rectify the issues there is nothing I can now offer you.'. The photo's clearly show that this was more than a mop and bucket job. It hadn't been cleaned in months as if it had noone would have been allowed to stay there. I also explained how due to my sons complex understanding changing anything or a stranger entering the accommodation was not within our capabilities so after our own risk assessment we decided just complain after our trip. Once again Park Deans response was not our problem this is yours... nothing we can do.. no meeting in the middle .. not effort whatsoever to show any understanding, empathy or inclusivity. Apparent it was my job to go chase up the cleaning staff and have my PAID and not cheap accommodation cleaned and fixed whilst entertaining and keeping safe 2 disabled children...
Oh Park Dean have said that next time we book..:) to call ahead to check the accommodation is clean... Erm.. isn't that standard!!! But don't expect any accountability whatsoever from them on their service or complaints procedure. Absolute disgrace! Currently escalating to the Mail Online, Watch Dog, Consumer @CAB and the Dorset local MP as this clearly shows victimisation towards young people with disabilities. Shame on you Park Dean!!!!!!
STAY AWAY!!!
I have photos but sadly cannot share on here.

Just returned
from a short break at Grannies Heilan Hame in Embo. Have been going there for over 35 years and this visit must rank as the worst ever. Parkdean’s idea of cleanliness is appalling. There were heavy stains on the carpets, towel rail in shower room was absolutely filthy and there appeared to be what looked like blood stains on the sofa. Their staff all talk a good game but unfortunately do not follow up with actions. We complained about the state of the caravan on arrival and had a visit from the ‘Experience Manager’ she was never seen again. Very poor customer service.

Luke Handyside made my daughters holiday for the second year running!
After a hiccup with caravan keys and the first evening spent moving between the 2 caravans the holiday could have gone down hill!
Last year luke saved the day when the fire alarm went off multiple times during the entertainment, which made my daughter very upset - look joined the holiday goers and had a good chat with Emily - he then went on to encourage her to join in with the song (she is very shy so it was amazing that she sang into the microphone).
This year he had all the children up singing and dancing, had another good chat with Emily and got a photo so she could remember the holiday! Thank you Luke for making this a holiday Emily will never forget.

Myself, my heavily pregnannt wife and 5-years old child got verbally attacked and nearly got run over by a van driven hy the obviously drunk man. Got it reported to both security and police. Wasted all the evening in the security office. No CCTV on site. The final decision was: "If he do it again we got him off the site."
Be careful, look over your shoulder walking around the park. There is no security no rules, no cctv, no justice there. Make sure you are not there when the man decide to do it again

I accidentally left a bag of family clothing in the wardrobe (Vintage -LIPHOOK caravan @ Southview Skegness. I reported it immediately 18th October & spoke to ANISHA on reception. I asked her to speak to the housekeeper (drives a 4x4) that had personally collected the keys from us doing that area because incase they check the wardrobes? ANISHA said she wouldn’t be able to ask the new family staying in the caravan & she would ring me back on Friday after they had left. She never rang me back with an update. I spoke to Maria at the resort- she asked what the contents of the bag was (Joules clothing, Leicester City shirts, Superdry Hoodie, Cragghoppers combats ect) again-no response. After numerous calls to them Maria said on 22nd Oct they were not found. Cain (comms team)was also aware of the issue but again- no update.

Just awful experience of this park.
The lodge we stayed in was a Truo lodge it wasn't anything like the images online when booking, the floor plan was different and it doesn't have a dishwasher. The lodge was supposed to be updated for 2022 but the quality of work is the worst I have ever seen, all the radiators in the lodge where leaking water, the boiler was leaking water, the washing machine sounded like it was taking off, the grouting in the shower has holes in it. Upon entering our premium Lodge the place stunk of curry (this smell never went during our two week stay) the floor had a big sticky patch and the toilet had feces on in. The lodge wasn't very clean with cobwebs everywhere the floors sticky and surfaces sticky. The lodge is the worst lodge I have every stayed in. The park is not what I expected at all, the children's indoor play area was closed, the baby/ toddler pool was closed, the sauna was closed, the jacuzzi was closed very disappointing. The outdoor pirate ship play area is a disgrace it's nothing like the pictures online it needs nocking down there is no slide no climbing wall it has massive weeds growing out of, it was patched up with sheets of mdf has holes in the floors and isn't safe in my opinion my children was really looking forward to the pirate ship as well but I wouldn't let them play on it. There are two more parks and both are in a state of disrepair and need updating and tidying up weeds growing all over the place. I raised my concerns to reception and explained I believe I was mis-sold a holiday on the basis the site and lodge is nothing like the online pictures and videos.
All in all the place is a massive let down and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for the money I paid I feel completely ripped of and won't be staying at a park dean resort again what they advertise and what they deliver and nothing alike.

Skipsea Sands - our tent was invaded by rats, they chewed through our brand new camp kitchen, the site toilets were not cleaned from Saturday to Thursday when I complained and then they were cleaned. There was rubbish behind the children's indoor play area, absolutely filthy & not cleaned once. We left early due to the rats. I complained and was offered a £50 voucher which never materialised. I was asked to email photos of the damage to the kitchen, which I did. The email was ignored so I emailed again and still ignored. They don't clean the site or toilets, it's overrun with rats, others had their tents damaged but Parkdean could not care less, I will never go to Parkdean again

Stayed at Nairn and the site was lovely. We chose a caravan close to the beach and away from the facilities, and it was so peaceful. We had a caravan that took a dog, and it was fairly clean. The main facilities were up to date, the kids loved the arcade, entertainment, and as the beach was so close could go anytime. The town has all facilities and some lovely restaurants and takeaways. Would highly recommend.

The caravan photos on the website are not representative of what you will actually get if you go to the Whitley Bay site. It does say this in the fine print but it doesn't say the net curtains may have holes in, the seating may have historical stains , the towels may be worn out & you may be 'upgraded' to an unsuitable van without being told until you get on site. This is the experience I've had after 2 visits to this site. It's the only caravan site in Whitley Bay so that explains the return visits.

Parkdean oceans edge. Was recommended this place by friends.
Good points. Lovely staff on bungee jump. Great life guards and pool. Fabulous to visit with a pet. Shower fabulous and powerful. Caravan... mmm undecided.
Bad points. Awful male childrens entertainer. Was too amused by his own sarcastic jokes. Bare wires on co2 detectors in caravan. Sweet papers and crumbs under cushions. Grill pan didn't fit. Had to balance it on an upside down frying pan. Not ideal. Had booked 'pirates pursuit' online. Paid £8.00. Got a phone call a few days before we set off saying could they change it to the Sunday from Saturday. Same time same place. I turned up with my 3yr old granddaughter to be told 'Adam' was in the bar and could do it in 2hrs time. Needless to say this was unacceptable as we had other plans later on. My granddaughter was very upset as it meant she also missed blues and clues. I asked for a refund and the surly receptionist bluntly refused. When I asked how I could get a refund she shrugged her shoulders and said 'no idea'!!. Not a great representative of the company.
What could of been a fantastic holiday was spoilt by two members of staff and a very unhappy little girl. Shame!!
