Got scammed because QR code failed
I purchased a $50 parking.com voucher in advance, but the garage's machine said "invalid" when we arrived and scanned the QR code. We called the garage's customer service line, and a representative told us to take a ticket and use the QR voucher as payment on exit instead. When we tried to exit, the machine gave the same error and no one answered the customer service line this time, so we had to pay a $105 fee to exit. I'm still waiting for response to a refund request.

The code did not work
The code did not work, I had to purchase another pass to get out. I tried multiple different ways to get the passcode to work and it didn't. Not only did I have to spend another $30 but I held up everyone behind me.

Invalid Code
I bought a reservation prior to parking, and when I went to park my car in the parking garage, the QR code “wasn’t valid”. I had to buy a ticket on-site, which costed an extra $22.

Don’t waste your $$$
Barcode didn’t work, parking.com took my payment and will not respond when I asked for a refund. Had to pay double and nothing….stay away unless you like throwing your money on the trash.
SP Parking lot code reader wouldn't accept our code
We purchased parking on Parking.com at an SP lot in Chicago (Halstead Flats) for $20. We had the QR code on my phone (full brightness) and a printout, but the reader would not read the code. Finally, we had to push a button to get a ticket and had to pay full price when leaving, $30. I called Parking.com and they refunded the original $20, but I still had to pay $10 more than I should have. Not cool.

Beware Chicago parking garages
The reservation was great, the map was great, the location was perfect. The problem: the machine that was supposed to read my bar code wasn't working. Luckily, there were humans on duty at the garage I used and they got me out. Parking.com is great; the city's parking contractor sucks--I've had the same problem at other city garages.

PARKiNG FROM HELL
I purchased 3 hour parking at Halsted Flats for my wife. She got in with the parking pass on her phone. I guess a ticket printed out also at the gate. When she left she put her pass under the scanner. The scanner didn’t work. She pressed the assistance button. The woman answered and asked for her ticket. My wife didn’t know about the ticket but offered the order number on her pass. The woman answered, “If you don’t have the ticket, it will cost $100”. My wife kept saying, look up the order number. The woman was indignant. This went on for 40 minutes with many cars getting held up behind her. Total chaos. Was a horrible experience. Wouldn’t use them again.
