Walking in the rain Luton Mid stay…

We parked on the Luton Mid stay Carpark. (Have previously used this carpark) The booking procedure was straight forward and easy, with confirmation of booking.
However at no stage did I notice that this particular car was undergoing on site roads works, which in effect prevented any bus shuttles running from the car park to the terminal.
It is about a 15 minute walk from the entrance of the carpark to the airport. The carpark surface is mainly uneven which makes it difficult to pull a suitcase on. There is also a bit of a incline enroute.
On our return journey, the weather was chucking down with rain and strong winds. The walk back to the midstay carpark was a little difficult and of course wet.
If we had know of the lack of shuttle bus in advance, we would have selected a different car park. All in all poor notification let this down.

Who's crazy there?

Long stay car park. Cost for 5 days in September was £125. Return flights for two people cost £100. Who's crazy there?

Megan H at Luton Airport parking

Owing to difficult family circumstances, I had to twice extend my daughter’s parking booking at Luton Airport official long stay.
Oddly it was the same lady, Megan H, who answered both calls some days apart to help me and ensure I’d undertaken this correctly.
At such a difficult time she was simply outstanding, remembered the circumstances on the second call, and went out of her way to provide first class customer service.
Exemplary!

Best ever experience travelling abroad…

Best ever experience travelling abroad after flying from serveral different airports before this is the best one. Easy to access carpark, easy bus shuttle to airport and airport is easily accessible and relaxed. Thank you for making my flight out more relaxed and coming back was relaxed.

Exercise in frustration

I was due to pick up some relatives from the airport recently, late on a Saturday evening.
As I was not familiar with the layout of the airport and especially as I was going to be navigating in the dark, I had a look on the airport website in preparation. There was a section dedicated to parking, both free and chargeable, and also more specifically, covering dropping off and pick up areas, so that was a good start.
However, no map that I could find, to show you where these areas were. There were just instructions saying to follow the road signs, not always easy to see in the dark though. A map would have been really helpful, especially as Google Street View was a bit of a mess with all the cones and road works etc.
I tried ringing the airport on the evening before. However, parking enquiries were only covered 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (and not 9am to 8pm as it said on the website). Either way, strange when the car parks are open all the time! So I tried the general enquiries number - that was another exercise in frustration, just going round and round and never actually getting to speak to a human being.
In the end I just gave up and took my chances.....
