ParkLet was launched in 2004 to offer an alternative to traditional parking. Parking had, and continues to, become ever more expensive and more difficult to find. Congestion and traffic is on the increase, whilst the government actively discourages the provision of parking spaces to try and encourage people out of their cars and onto crumbling public transport. The founder members had noticed unused private parking spaces in areas where parking was in high demand. ParkLet was created to offer an effective marketplace and management service for the letting of these parking spaces and garages. Over the years the team has grown, and our systems evolved to enable us to become the UK’s leading agent for parking spaces and garages. We currently have in excess of 20,000 spaces advertised to let, across the whole of the UK. Our Landlords include residential clients with a single space, as well as most of the national car park companies and councils, and most things in between. Our aim moving forwards is to remain completely focused on contract parking and garages, and continue to invest in our systems and staff so that we can offer our customers an ever improving experience.

Nowhere near as good as the other company I tried

I registered my driveway with Park Let and one of their rivals at the same time. I have had nearly all my bookings through the other company. In fact the other company got me more than 10 times as many bookings over the the 6 months trial. So I am coming off with Park Let and Just using the other Parking company from now on

Contract is all in favout of Parklet, no protection for tenant.

I rented a parking space for over 1 year through parklet. I subsequently cancelled and was only able to give notice from the start day of the month of the contract so I ended up paying for an extra month. I then asked for my deposit back after I had returned the remote control and no longer had access to the parking space. The landlord advised Parklet that I had returned the control but Parklet would only allow me to request the deposit back until after the contract had expired, so I had to wait several more weeks. I then requested the deposit back and received an email stating that they would check with the landlord and if all was well they would return the deposit 7 - 14 days later.
What a dishonest company who makes it so difficult to cancel and return the deposit.
Beware of these unfair and disadvantageous practices followed by this company.

Communication is just awful

Communication is just awful. I asked about the size of the truck that was booked at my parking space and said I'd rather cancel the booking since the vehicle could be too big. They just removed my listing straight away without any prior discussion. So rude. It could work both for me and their client if somebody bothered to help.

Just another parasite business!

(Update 3 April 2025 - Parklet just tried to have this review removed from Trustpilot - so that tells you volumes about how much they care about you getting unbiased feedback!).

Parklet are just another company that skims margin off everyone else. If you want to let your garage - be prepared to get poor service for what you pay them in fees. If you want to hire a parking space, expect to get poor service for that too. They add no value, support and their communication with both parties is terrible. They gave me 3 days notice to move my car, which is shocking. Unprofessional, terrible website experience - they take money from both sides and then offer no 'value add' in return. Just another parasitic business model adding little value for everyone involved. Avoid!
