Order messed up, but refund and apology received quickly

Ordered 3 balloons for a 100th birthday celebration. Unfortunately they only delivered 1 of the boxes (containing a 'one' and a 'zero') and the 'one' was not inflated properly.
Very disappointing for the actual birthday celebrations.
Complained by email immediately attaching a photo asking for a full refund. In fairness to Party Stock they replied same day with an apology and full refund, therefore I have given them 3 stars.

SHOCKING DON’T BUY FROM
I bought a canister of helium with postage came to £39 and when it turned up the canister was damaged I contacted them for a refund because it was for balloons for my daughters which I never got to fill up. At first all they offered me was a 10% discount and no refund and then when I said no it’s my consumer rights to get a full refund they gave me a £20 refund and didn’t wait to get a response from me to see if I was happy with this so yeah stay away from this company especially if you don’t want to get ripped off.

Avoid!!

**UPDATED- Partystock have apologised for the issue and have promptly provided me with a 75% refund, which I was not expecting at all. Due to this I am increasing the star rating to 4 stars. However as a word of advice, when ordering balloons get them delivered a couple of days earlier than needed so that Partystock can rectify any issues in good time.

Original post: Purchased # 3 and 1 balloons for my wife’s 31st birthday. The 3 was fully deflated on arrival. I contacted them immediately to request a replacement or a refund but have not heard back at all. Avoid this company unless you want to be disappointed...!

Half a job

Ordered two balloons for my partner's birthday; '30'.
Upon arrival, the '3' was massively deflated so I used the supplied tube to blow some air into it, as instructed. The balloon was then full of air but it was evident there wasn't enough helium in to keep it afloat. Upon further inspection, it became evident there was a hole in the balloon. Obviously my partner was very disappointed.
I emailed immediately for a refund, to which the company offered to refund half of my order, since the '0' was still inflated. Obviously one balloon was no use to me and the fact they thought it was is laughable. Advised the company of the same and they refused to refund my whole order (£30+).

Went to a local discount store that day and bought two bigger, better quality (fully inflated) balloons for a third of the price.

Deflated Balloon

I ordered 2 helium filled balloons for my daughter's 10th birthday. One of the balloons arrived deflated. I contacted Party Stock to ask for a replacement to be sent the same day as it was my daughters birthday the next day. They said they couldn't do same day delivery but could for the following day which wouldn't work as it would be her birthday. No offer of a refund or vouchers. Extremely disappointing and I won't be using them again nor recommending them.

Avoid

EDIT: I got an email saying they asked for my review to be removed because "they don't believe you've had a genuine experience with them". It was automatically removed and I had to send proof for it to be restored. So have in mind that the bad reviews you are seeing here are not even the full picture since they are trying to get rid of them.

I was browsing for a helium-filled balloon for a gender reveal and this was the only company I found that had next-day delivery. It had a poor description and a photo equally as poor on the website, but I had no choice.

Not long after ordering, I got an email confirmation that it had been shipped. DPD messaged shortly after saying "Your parcel from Hartington Heath Ltd will be delivered tomorrow". This was odd because Hartington Heath Ltd seems to be a company that sells electrical components, not balloons, but the tracking number matched, so I waited to see.

On the same message, DPD said I'd get a new message with a time slot next morning once the product had left their depot. The next morning came and when checking the DPD tracking it said they still hadn't received the parcel from Party Stock. I waited until the afternoon and since the status didn't change, I contacted Party Stock.

In their reply Party Stock said my balloon had been damaged in their warehouse, so they would refund me. I replied saying I had one extra day, so I'd be happy if they could send a new one and deliver it the following day again. The next reply said they didn't have the balloon in stock.

It does sound odd that I had ordered the very last balloon and it was damaged in their warehouse, but what shows that the bad reviews here are not unfair is that I had to contact them for them to tell me that nothing would arrive. You would expect a remotely organised company to have a system in place in their warehouse.

Imagine that an order arrives and while someone is fulfilling it, the product is damaged. If you don't have a product to replace it, how isn't that person's next step to communicate the client immediately?
It seems like the next step is to just say "Too bad" and carry on until the client gets in touch to ask "why is my order not here yet?"

I would definitely not recommend this company and wish I have read the reviews here before ordering.

I purchased a helium Mother’s Day…

I purchased a helium Mother’s Day ballon from party stock, this was for my mother’s graveside.
The ballon came perfectly packaged & delivered on time, but the quality of the ballon was poor & the price charged was over priced, the ballon had very little helium in it, which will result in the ballon not last to long which really disappoints me.
The over pricing of the item does really concern me as in shops these balloons cost roughly £5 at most.

Excellent Service

I am so impressed with the service provided by Party Stock. I ordered a beautiful helium filled balloon for delivery to my mum, who lives in a different country to me - ordered on 09.03.21 and delivered 11.03.21. There was a great choice of balloons on the website, very reasonably priced and the service was superb. I have used a few different companies in the past, but Party Stock will be the one I use in the future. Thank you Party Stock.

Terrible customer service 1 upset birthday boy

Ordered a helium transformer balloon on website for my son’s birthday. Got called later in day after too late to order anywhere else to say it was actually out of stock and would have to accept something different.

Then that didn’t even arrive the next day as promised and paid for. Called up next day (on my sons birthday) to be told it had been lost and they couldn’t get one out for another day (too late). Awful customer service and when I asked for any compensation for the fact it wouldn’t be on his birthday, they only offered a refund of the next working day delivery charge when they were offering sending it 2 days later than that minimum - quote: ‘you’ll still be getting the product so why should we offer any money off’ !!! I’d have thought a refund of delivery charge was a given as it would have been 2 days late!!

Use this company if you want to have an upset child on their birthday - otherwise leave well alone

Ordered balloons last minute for my…

Ordered balloons last minute for my sister’s 30th as she’s a NHS worker and I thought we should make this milestone special. So grateful to Ellie at Party Stock! She went above and beyond to make sure my order arrived in time — even though the odds were against me and I was giving her a bit of a hard time (sorry)😳.

It may seem small but it meant a lot to my sister. Thank you for making her day and helping us make a memory. :-)

Happy Wife Happy Life

Called up the customer service team because I got let down with the other company I'd used for my daughters birthday. Girl on the phone spoke me through some options with patience, ended up calling back after looking on the website and spoke to another one. received quality balloons the next day so many options ended up getting numbers, frozen and Disney princess. daughter was chuffed and my Mrs let me off for almost ruining the day. friendly and personal customer service, will defo be ordering with these guys again and avoid the other company.

Party Stock is a brilliant shop

Party Stock is a brilliant shop, their customer service is so helpful. I was sent a wrong items so I have emailed the customer service and wow! I’ve received a quick response straight away and they have manage to sort it out for me and delivered my item the next day, plenty of time for my sons birthday party. I can’t highly recommend it! Thank you x
