Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 99 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers felt misled by the website, believing it was an official government site for passport applications. Reviewers frequently reported paying significant fees for services that simply involved filling out forms available for free elsewhere, or for document preparation that they still had to submit themselves. This led to frustration, with some feeling they wasted money on services that did not process their actual passport applications. However, some customers also noted the company's service was efficient, fast, and professional, especially for urgent requests. They appreciated the staff's knowledge and politeness, and that the company provided transparent updates and clear information regarding fees and timelines. Some found the pricing reasonable for the convenience and stress reduction offered.

Impeccable Attention to Detail

The idea of obtaining a passport was so scary to start with, but they held my hand all along. They have a very meticulous process of verifying information, which helped them to detect a huge mistake that I had made when filling out my initial forms.

Took the weight off

I’ve been dreading this paperwork for months. Handed it over to Passport Visa Rush on Monday, and by Friday, it was all sorted. Huge weight off!

Avoid this site at all costs

Avoid this site at all costs! they ask for all of your personal information and is not even connected to the government. However, their branding makes one believe that they are a government organization. Please! Please! Please! Beware!

Simple, Fast, and Stress-Free

Do not pay any attention to the bad reviews; they are not a scam. In fact, think of them as a tax preparer that focuses on passports. They helped me prepare all of my application documents, telling me precisely which ones to submit. I paid them for their services, the government for theirs, and got my new passport within a month.

They prey on people in a hurry

They prey on people in a rush to get their passports by charging a lot of money for next to nothing (essentially, they populate the form with the information you provide them, which can also be done for free on the .gov website). All the while, it appears as if you are paying for the actual passport service. A scam!

Quick and clean

renewed my passport before a trip to Italy. They caught my fee amount was off on the check. Paid PVR for the prep, paid the State Department separately. Back in 4 weeks. No issues.

Read before you call it a scam

Was nervous after seeing some reviews calling this a scam. It's not. They're a prep service. You pay them to review your application, then you pay the government separately for the actual passport. Same model as a tax prep service. They caught two errors on my form before I mailed it in. Got my passport in a month.

Worth the prep fee for me

I know you can do this yourself for free on the State Department site. I tried and got confused halfway through. PVR is a document prep service, that's it. They review your forms and tell you what to fix. You print, sign, and mail everything yourself with your own check to the government. Took the stress off me. 5 weeks total.

Did exactly what they said.

Used these guys to renew my passport for a cruise. They preepend my DS-82 and caught that i had the wrong fee ammount written on my check. paid them for the prep work, then sent my own check to the state Department like you do with any passport service. Back in 4 weeks. They never claimed to be the goverment, it says it right on the homepage. people leaving scam reviews didn't read.

Booked a last-minute trip

Booked a last-minute trip and needed my passport renewed fast. Used PVR's expedited prep, paid the State Department's expedited fee on top. Had it back in 3 weeks. My coworker who started around the same time doing it himself was still waiting.

THIS IS A SCAM

Halfway through this, I realized it was a scam. No Gov website asks for all of your info as they did. Mother's name, father's name, and if the spouse was previously married. All of your info goes into this site, SSN, job info, EVERYTHING. That's before you even upload a pic. AVOID.

This is a scam

This is a scam. Full stop.

Only an official State Department web site can be used to renew your passport. This site accomplishes exactly nothing.

These positive reviews are fake.

These positive reviews are fake.

This site is a pure scam and is being investigated by the FCC.

First they take your initial payment and then two days later you get an email asking for more money. Fraudsters parading as a legitimate site. And they have no special access to anything you don’t. If your confused about anything on the forms search YouTube or the internet—you’ll figure it out in minutes. Don’t be taken in by these scammers.

And do not trust it just because Google gives it as the top result—this happens because Google allows any site/advertiser to pay them for ranking, even scam sites pay them to be highly ranked—it’s pay to play scam in Google search results.

Scam, scam, scam

When will Google stop allowing scam sites to surface in SEO?

This site is a scam. It's designed to look like a government website and completely fooled me. I'm even more upset with Google, who allowed the search results to surface to the top. I'm mad at myself for being fooled and not noticing the very subtle "not a government agency" language. How sad that consumers have to be on alert and assume everything is a scam until proven otherwise. It contributes to the coarsening of our society. When will it be illegal to fool consumers like this? It is outrageous.

Incredible turnaround

My renewal was sitting at the agency for weeks with no movement. I called these guys, and they somehow got it unstuck and back to me in 4 days. Magic.

Do not pay for it

Do not pay , the first payment is for the visarush only and its look like is for your passport. after you submit your payment and filling forms you get a response after 48hours(48hours means no refund accepted) about what you are missing then you need to pay for what you need with money order to the GOV

STAY AWAY. This website is VERY NOT transparent

This website is VERY NOT transparent. We didn't properly research that it is impossible to renew online for a 17 year old and were pleasantly surprised that our application went through. Only now do we realize that the entirety of this "service" is that they gather the forms for you but have nothing to do with actually getting you a passport- a 17 year old has to go in person no matter what. This is truly unhelpful and was an extremely expensive mistake. Stay away.

Update- we emailed the site immediately and they did refund our money. However, user beware- this site merely prepares the forms for you, nothing more.

Absolute scam of a website

Absolute scam of a website. When you type in what you think is the actual government website, this site pretends to be it, charging you for a free form and pretenting to be a pasport processing website. The form is free on the real governemnt website and this website does nothing to process your actual passport form.
