Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 74 reviews, reviewers had a great experience with this company. Customers find the online platform extremely easy to use, deeply appreciating the clear speakers and the very useful relaxation videos that truly help with daily pain management. Many individuals enjoy having continuous access to a personal digital library so they can easily revisit helpful tools and practical ideas whenever needed. However, some people mentioned that certain relaxation and meditation techniques did not work for them personally or felt quite repetitive after previous attempts. Consumers also noted that the overall program offered nothing entirely new for individuals who had already explored extensive self-help methods over the years.

Insight to pain

I wouldn't refer to this course as a pathway through pain, but it is an insight into pain. Most long-term pain sufferers have already been through most of these steps in order to relieve some of it themselves. Most have started with physio, and have tried various pain medications before being sent on this course, which feels like you are being told some of it is all in your head. I've given it 3/5 simply because some people may get some use out of the coping mechanisms used, such as calming techniques when you get angry at the world or yourself, or the understanding that you are not the only one in this position.

Sorry to hear you feel the program hasn't helped your pain. Please note that the program is not a quick fix. It takes time to build the pain management practices into your life. Once established and regularly practicing the techniques, most people feel a reduction in their pain intensity, feel better able to cope with their pain day-to-day and an improved quality of life. So I would encourage you to keep going with the practices, give everything a real go and see how you feel in a few months from now.

If you feel the program isn't suited to your needs, then please revert to the health service that referred you to the program to discuss alternatives that might be a better fit.

You'll continue to have access to your library of resources collected on the program.

All the best.

It’s been good to be able to do the course at my own speed, I enjoyed the meditations but as I’ve struggled for at least four years with the pain I am struggling with the idea that the course will overcome everything and all will be well but I’m going to try.

I think this is a great way to help with pain management if you haven't tried any self help. For me, i have tried all of these methods before, so was quite disappointed that there wasn't any new ideas or developments.

I thought Charles was very articulate in explaining the various subjects he discussed.Wish he was my doctor!!
Overall the course helped me to understand that pain cant always be cured and the best that I can hope for is to manage my own pain as best as I can.

It was good to feel that I’m not alone in this. Advice has been implemented but can’t say it’s helped much with my condition or the pain and feel it may be a way of getting people off the pain management waiting list. I’ve now been on the list over 18 months and getting more and more depressed. People should not have to put up with daily pain like this. Surely new treatments should be available such as gel injections or stem cell treatment. Meditation and stretching etc etc don’t relieve the pain
