Paymaya or Maya or Maya is everything is the worse digital banking company by far! Your rebranding is useless. Total headache. Spare your energy by withdrawing all your money and avoid using it. A total scam. They couldn't resolve an easy issue for more than 30 days. CS no answer, email no answer, socmed no answer. I need my money please return it to me! I just need to access my freakin account wherein I changed my registered number. It prompted a verification id request prior to logging in with the instructions to call CS to request for a lift due to the fact that I am verified user already. Company only fixed their mistake and doesn't even own up to their mistake. Saw a promo that was still ongoing, and I emailed them regarding a voucher. I didn't hear back from them, so I chatted with their support team instead. They said that my concern has been resolved and I will not receive a voucher because the promo is already over even though I had a screenshot that it was still ongoing. When I looked at the promo again, they changed the status that it ended. How is them fixing the problem on their end resolving my concern when they should have given me a voucher as fast as they fixed it on their end. How can I trust them with my money if the solution only benefits them? To this day it is still under investigation which baffles me because there is nothing to investigate on my end. I gave them evidence that it is still ongoing and a screenshot that I followed the mechanics. It has been more than 20 days, I email Maya on April 1, 2023. When I got fed up with the agent, I asked for a supervisor which was a mistake because she dropped the chat on me. To think the agent handled my concern better than the supervisor. Does he/she even deserve his/her position?

Maya encourages paying all your bills with their product. My 3 monthly bills exceed P8000, for which I pay P160 in fees. While Maya is more convenient, I can pay my bills for much less in fees. Maya should pay me interest on my money in my account, not charge me for putting the money in the account.

INCONVENIENT! Going thru chat they would ask info which I understand as validation is needed. However they seriously don't need to ask for tons of info when 3 or 4 should suffice! They will ask for birthdate, complete name, account balance, place of birth, number of physical cards linked, last 4 digits of card, et. If one is missing, you'll have to start a new chat, go thru prompts and key in all details again. -- And they have the gall to claim "MAYA CARES". Lol. Also found out they CAN'T (or don't want to) send a transcript of the chat. Oh and one more thing, they still have not refunded me for something merchant has refunded several days ago. DISAPPOINTING.

Dreadful. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. I sent money to this app and it is not until after you send money that you are informed you have to upgrade your account to transfer the money out your account. The upgrade process is the equivalent of banging your head against a wall. I've been declined 3x without being given a reason as to why. There is zero customer service, no support and the app just breaks when I try and upgrade again. 1000php wasted trying this app.

Appalling customer service.
Maya double charged my PLDT payment. They sent one OTP and charged me twice. They ask me to go to PLDT and the charge-back process may take 4 to 8 weeks. Called Maya again and was told that this will take up to 45 days. Clearly this is a mistake on their system and I was told that they need to follow their policy. Also, when I first call I was cold transfered to another agent. How can we be so sure that your customers privacy was respected as there is no notes from that interaction? I called twice before the 3rd and there is no details? Maya does not respect its customer's privacy and right to escalate as the agent denied a request to talk to a supervisor. This is such an appalling and horrendous customer service experience and I will not us their service again to pay bills.

I LOST MONEY IN MY MAYA APP
This is basically the email I sent and it describes the issue:
Hello Maya,
I called your hotline earlier and I was told to send these screenshots here. Ref no. of the call is 14214562. Please check details about that call if you can.
Yesterday I had 1645 PHP left on my wallet balance and 1,548.49 PHP was magically added to my account, and it did NOT have any record on the transaction and I received no text notification about it. I found it weird so I tried sending 3193.49 PHP (my total balance at the time) to a friend and when it was sent successfully, I sent it back to my account. I was expecting Maya to retrieve the money because it could be some system error or something.
I made some transactions with the app today and I made sure that there will be enough balance in case Maya retrieved the 1548.49 PHP. Earlier this night, I still had 2008.49 PHP, more than enough in case Maya retrieved the money. But when I checked my balance, my balance was -101.31. AGAIN, NO TRANSACTION OF THE AMOUNT LOST. Maya took more money and now I lost around 400-500 PHP. When I was speaking to an agent earlier she told me it was some previous payment that just reflected but first of all, WE ARE SURE that our balance gets deducted when we buy something online and the total deducted DOES NOT ADD UP. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO SOME MATH.
This is scary and this discourages us to continue using Maya. What if we lost bigger money? I had some amount in my Maya savings and what happened made me transfer everything to a different bank. I hope this gets resolved. Again, please do some MATH if you're just gonna insist that this is from a previous payment. Please refer to the attached screenshots.

I used my Maya Card to pay for purchase. The merchant did not deliver the service. I called them for chargeback. They did not process my request after exchange of emails and calls with documents. 2 years had passed and still they did not still process it. Very bad. Do not use this service. In case that someone use your card or charge your card. You are not protected.
Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered
So I’ve been following up on an issue for over a month now, and am still waiting for it to be resolved assuming it does get resolved. Followed up via live chat, raising a ticket, sending an email, and even sending an Instagram DM for so many times over this past month, but to no avail. Pretty sure they just set up a CS team to let people know they offer customer support, even when those people don’t resolve anything. I checked reviews from others here on Trustpilot and on Reddit. They all say the same thing. It’s very frustrating since they are a bank app. If I could give zero stars, I would, but there’s no option here to do so.

If there is a zero rating, that is what I will give you. I sent emails and calls to retrieve money I sent which you recognized as a paymaya account instead of a gcash account. This paymaya account receiver is an inactive account. The money I sent is worth a double wage pay of an average income earner. Poorest performance. You should update and revise your system.
