Don't use this App
I am reporting a major problem regarding this issue that circulates around the internet and thus experience it myself today. OTP not working in the App then Paymaya will lock the account and the problem goes on and on until not resolved. I seriously waiting until now since May 09, 2022 just to solve the problem and I'm still hanging. Please take your time to read all including attachments in this email below.
I have proof that I can receive the OTP as shown below upon sending/transferring fund. OTP received but after entering it to the App, it will not be accepted and error occurs. I tried to report it in the Customer service email (May 09, 2022) and they immediately lock my account for that reason.

Seriously Paymaya? Do you really have to go this far for only verifying the account of one person? There's really something OFF regarding this matter that can be solved easily like a scheduled video call verification or upon submission of requirements, but they keep DELAYING the problem for some reason and it's obvious that they have the advantage of freezing the accounts. I am only ONE of some people suffering in this kind of process.
I am calling higher authorities and Bangko Sentral of the Philippines to investigate and help the citizens from this kind of Company. I still hope that this problem will be solve because I need to recover my funds. Thank you all for your time and effort.

Unable to change registered mobile number, as a customer of online banking/wallet, we have right to change mobile number right away in app. I tried to call their customer service then they refuse to change my registered number without giving me a reason. I'm very disappointed. Most of online mobile wallet had change mobile number features so why here is missing.

A scammer set up an account using my email address, and I did not verify the email address when they sent me that request. They set up the account anyway, and now I get PayMaya emails related to that account.
I asked Customer Service to remove my email address, and they are no help. They require that I give them the scammer's name, and their mobile number. Like how would I know that? Then they say that is the only way they can look up the account, by the mobile number, not by an email address. I even tried to reset the password, and their link to that would not work. They are worthless.

FORGOT PASSWORD END UP ASKING FINANCIAL PROOF. STUPID FOOLS.
I happen to check my paymaya since i dont quite use it except for mobile loading or sending money for someone that dont have bank accounts or any other means of receiving the money. So since i dont use it that much i dont remember the password and got locked my account. So i click the forgot password to reset it. Then i received an email requesting the infos about me which ive provided. Then the next day an email came asking for more infos, theyre asking a selfie of me holding my valid gov id and proof if funds. At first i was ok its normal but it get into my nerves when it asked to give the reason why i opened a paymaya account, why i changed my number from my old one which that was a freaking long time ago and really they need to brought it up very irrelevant to my case, then it asked the purpose of the money i sent to tye person and whats my relationship to that person and as i said i rarely used it so i dont recall the person at all and the last its asked me to LIST ALL MY SOURCES OF FUNDS. Like W T F ! Theyre not even a bank to asked me those and who the hell are they asking me those stuffs. I would totally understand if im opening an account wherein im not and what iritates me at all i just need to reset my password so why the hell theyre asking me those stuff. Paymaya and bdo should come together and closed there business. They make it hard for people to use their service. Very poor customer service and rude. This app is not good for people whose mind is not intact in remembering their passwords well youll eventually loose your money if you have as you might never recover them for this foolish act. I tried requesting to change my mobile number since I lost my old one. They told me that I have to handwritten a letter of request and a signature and a valid ID. They always wanted me to revised my letter of request because my signature on my valid ID was different, when in fact there were a little difference between my 2019 signature till today. They want your signature to be perfect as seen in your valid ID, like wth?! All signature stroke aren't perfect you know! Well, I have a small amount of balance on my PayMaya but I don't care it anymore. I uninstalled their app from my devices and I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEIR POOR SERVICES AGAIN!

My senior citizen mom has not received her “allowance” for 1.5 years from the city government because her phone got lost along with the SIM card that was used to register for her PayMaya account. We sent them an email along with verified ID’s and documents to simply transfer the fund to a new contact number, as per the instruction of the official from the city government. They responded with a text telling us to call them for verification, only to get so frustrated with annoying, repetitive, unhelpful prompts!!!! We went to their office in Mandaluyong only to be greeted by the security guard that there’s no office and we should settle whatever we need by calling their STUPID NUMBERS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CRAP!!! THE NERVE!!!

customer service agents with no common sense, probing with dumb questions. two of your agents lied to me in one week-got proof. would sometimes send the wrong copy-paste reply-got proof. inbound agents have no initiative--when they can't provide an answer, you have to think for them on what to do next. chat/email agents are not responding when they don't have an answer. when you don't have an answer, as long as it's a paymaya related concern, FIND ONE. your product is a huge help but the customer service is the WORST, VERY low standard across all LOBs. BUILD CUSTOMER SERVICE INITIATIVE.

Beware, be very careful to transfer money from your bank to CORRECT paymaya mobile number. Lesson learned for me. Paymaya does not have the facility to hold your money if it was sent to wrong mobile number, worst case scenario, wrong recipients might have withdrawn your money. Fortunately, the erroneous recipient mobile number is permanently disconnected according to SMART. I need to look for ways again to request proof from SMART then provide it to Paymaya. Moving in circles already, paymaya needs to broaden their customer service facility in order to support wide range of request such as this. Compared to GCASH, they could immediately provide assistance for 1 number mistakes in the mobile number.
No sense of Urgency to resolve issues
At first this app is very helpful and convenient until last May 9 when I made a purchase it was cancelled by the merchant and the payment was already deducted on my account. I reached out to the merchant and they have confirmed that they have cancelled the payment on their end and that it should only take about 4 to 5 working days and to contact my card issuer. I emailed Paymaya several times and just give me the same templated responses. No sense of urgency and they wanted me to file a charge back form which will take 45 to 200 days? POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! They can easily deduct the payment then when it comes to crediting it back to your account they want you to wait for several days?
