Paypal Credit Sucks

If I could give PayPal a 0 rating I would. In December of last year PayPal refunded $400.00 for damaged merchandise. Six months later they took away the refund claiming I had been refunded twice for the same purchase. Furthermore PayPal demanded I make them an extra $400.00 payment immediately. Screw them. I am an old man almost 80. I have no assets and PayPal is an unsecured credit agreement. I refuse to pay them and there is little they can do at my advanced agem

The company was very biased and…

The company was very biased and unresponsive. I made a payment on time as usual but had some difficulties with my bank. I have another account though so I used that one to finish out the payment. I tried to add this other account through online payments but it didn't take so I mailed the rest in. I guess they didn't receive it so it was incomplete. I called to sort it but they were not helpful and wouldn't answer my questions. Their customer service line wouldn't pick up either. It requests your account information but won't even try to patch you through to a customer service rep so I was unable to resolve this matter. They keep asking for money instead of simply resolving the matter with a $15 payment and getting back on schedule. I am going to send a letter, however, based on how this miscommunication was treated I wanted to file a complaint for unfair and possibly predatory credit practices. They reduced my credit line and are as I said being unreasonable given the circumstances. PayPal Credit

AVOID AVOID AVOID IF YOU WANT TO KEEP…

AVOID AVOID AVOID IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR LOVELY CREDIT SCORES YOU’VE WORKER HARD FOR! If I could give 0 stars I would. I used PayPal credit back in 2020 and went ok. I recently used it and when I went to pay back the last of my remaining credit left, each time it got refused even though there was plenty of money to pay it off in my account. As I was panicking I did try it a few times again as it kept saying “refused” and finally after ruining my credit score it decides it’s now fine to take.
Now I’ve paid it off I will NEVER be using PayPal again. My credit score was amazing before this. I am gutted I now have to try and re build my credit score over there mistake of just not simply accepting my payments which were ON TIME.

Do not take credit with PayPal.

Do not take credit with PayPal.

I have a four month agreement with Paypal which includes the requirement to make minimal payments of £60 per month. I made a £600 payment against my credit agreement at the beginning of the month.

Now they are charging me a late fee and impacting my credit rating. I called paypal to dispute this and they cited terms and conditions. They will not waive the fee despite me paying clearly above the minimum contribution for the period, and they do not offer any customer service or rational thought. You will only get terms and conditions cited at you. The agent I had the displeasure to speak to even told me I did not give him 'happiness' in my reluctant acceptance of this.

If I wasn't so frustrated this might be ludicruous enough to be funny.

They are terrible

They are terrible. Tried to set up monthly payments but they messed up the acct number 3 times. Charged $30 each time then closed my account and I had to pay in full. The worst customer service ever. They do nothing but pass the buck back and forth between PP and PPC. Glad it is closed now!

Just a warning to be extra vigilant if you change your bank account, to ensure that PayPal have the new instructions. My new bank had set up the direct debit on my account but PayPal didn’t avail it and reported a non payment of £15 to the credit agencies. I’ve never had a credit issue in forty plus years. Pointless discussing with PayPal as they denied responsibility and were obviously not going to take remedial actions, apparently the notice to the credit agencies cannot be reversed, therefore I closed both my credit account, with a mighty £200 limit, and my standard account. Only signed on for convenience, definitely not for the credit line, but wish I never had. Absolute garbage and so unprofessional. Shame on them.

Scams From The Fraud Department

Without a doubt, PayPal Credits Fraud departments behind the mass scams going on with clients’ accounts. Just like most the others that’s left feedback, money has come up missing and I caught them lying about it from the beginning. I put money into an online wallet, which they did a return within two hours, I hadn't bought anything with it, and it was simply for future work. I confronted them right away about the money missing in August and they said I called it in as fraud, which was a full and complete lie. I have proof I began to say I never said it was fraud, that someone in PayPal Credit did, right away. I began to ask for proof of me calling it in as fraud because I could have withdrawn it. That’s when they admitted on 3 occasions someone from the fraud department did the return, then they would say I did, then they would say they did. Now again they are claiming I did and had bought something with it; however, I don’t even believe they contacted the company because you don’t purchase when you put money in the wallet. You put money in your wallet then decide to purchase, so what they were saying was a lie. The other company provided a refund number saying they refunded it right away in August I have 8 official letters from them saying it was returned and PayPal Credit, lying saying they didn’t and kept it for products I received and it’s not true at all. The way they described why they kept the money didn’t make sense for how this company does business in the first place. They would say talk to the other company running me in circles. Not to mention, I never requested the money be returned, PayPal Credit Fraud Department did, now its lost. I shouldn’t be responsible for it, they did it, I have official writing where I am telling the company I never requested the money be taken out of my wallet in August. Come to Oct 7, 2023. They had made a new account and forwarded the $1,227.00 to make me pay for it. It’s crazy how the money I caught them lying about, ended up missing, months later forwarded to my account, has come up completely missing and they are making me pay for something they did in the first place. Not only do I have to pay for the missing money, that they did a return on, now they are making me pay interest on it. I turned official police reports in and contacted the Better Business Bureau. The fraud departments pocketing all this money, it’s clear to see with all these same stories of PayPal Credit, making new accounts without client’s permission or knowledge, forwarding balances acting like they don’t understand anything your saying, spinning you in circles and making up stuff that doesn’t make sense. There is to many of us experiencing money just missing. It’s going somewhere into someone’s pocket. Which isn’t fair to us as consumers. Be very aware of the scams and fraud being done by them and use caution.

Terrible, don't sacrifice your credit with them

I have two accounts with PayPal (Synchrony). Even if you don't miss a payment, and if you pay double or triple the minimum payment, they suddenly lower your credit line multiple times. Such sudden changes in your credit limit can reduce your credit score, and it's frustrating. In my case, they changed my limit 3 months ago, and yesterday they changed my limit again. Not recommended; I will close my credit lines because they could damage my credit score.

bermuda triangle Paypal pacifica and Appliances direct where money dissapears

This is becoming farcical

I finally got the cooker replaced instead of repairing the handle. I then pointed out that now I had to fork out for another gas fitter to fit the cooker, after some toing and froing they agreed to pay reasonable costs to get the cooker fitted I found a gas fitter to do it for £65, I was told if I submitted the bill they would refund me. They did just that but sent it the Paypal credit and not me, Paypal are saying as it is a partial refund its their money now, Appliances direct are saying its not their problem as they have refunded it to original payment but correct me if I am wrong them telling me to pay a 3rd party and then get it refunded by them makes it a separate transaction so now as i get towards the end of the month I will be going to the foodbank for food for my family as 2 big companies have found a way to defraud me of £65 that I could not afford to lose Thank you Appliances direct and Paypal and Pacifica

Be careful when making payments

Won't allow me to set up a direct debit or even register my bank account.

If I make a manual payment by card, it doesn't give any confirmation that it has been requested or completed - no email confirmation, no on-screen confirmation; The payment page just closes down. Money then isn't taken right away either as PayPal 'schedule' it and there's no clear sign that it's pending, it also doesn't show as pending in your bank that day, so you don't know whether it's gone through or not.

I ended up attempting a manual payment again over 12hours after the first attempt, thinking it hadn't gome through - same thing happened and then the next day they took two payments out of my account.

No other company I've ever used has this delayed and sneaky way of taking payments, won't ever be using PayPal credit again once my current agreement ends.

Terrible

Terrible, I called today about a call in October to change my due date, this ended up not being done, once I realised and had the chance I called today, I had to demand a complaint raised because their agent disregarded me highlighting several FCA complaint triggers and they never even logged the initial conversation with their customer services team on that original call.

Avoid PayPal credit

Avoid PayPal credit. They give you nothing of credit. I just got $200 of credit, ask for more and they just raised me to $400. I have a credit score of 750 and got up to $15000 of credit on other cards. Do yourself a favor and never apply for this, is not worth it.
