THIEVES!

Promised me they would help with a Lloyds overdraft. I now have a default on my credit score, been refused a mortgage application. Lloyds have given them thousands of pounds of my compensation. They keep lying saying they don’t have it and are refusing to pay out! Do not go near these crooks! I’m informing the police, the financial ombudsman and anyone who will help me destroy these thieves!

Scammers

This company tells lies and this company are fraudsters at the highest level, This company told my wife they would help with cost from lloyds bank. What happend was far from the truth they told her they would help but it ended with a default on her credit file because of these people. This has had a huge impact on getting a mortgage because of thier lies. Not only this Lloyds have paid them and not a penny has been handed over to my wife. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Well what can I say TMS legalfought for me and got me 620 settlement from Capitol one was totally unexpected and thought I was being conned at first but it was true so now I’m very happy also very happy with their service

This is the worse of the worse

This is the worse of the worse. They acted on credit card charges. After 4 yers I hade first letter they win case winning £540 which i never received.
They send me bill £1260. And if i don't pay they will charge me each month £50 on top. When I called and explain as disabled on disability and cancer patient i can only pay £5.00 month they refused and say I have to pay £20.00,a month. If don't pay they use enforcement.
Very very harsh !! I won't be eating or keeping warm . Avoid this company its big scam. !!! Scam scam

What a complete rip off this company…

What a complete rip off this company are they have just ripped me off with Therefore, the commission due to us is £537.33- £504.37(amount we will receive) = £32.96. and they want me to pay them another £32.96 what a bunch of crooks charging £537.33 commission what a joke at least Richard Turpin wore a mask robbing people

Very Poor Progress and Communication

They were assigned for two cases.

One has been ongoing since July 2025 without success.

Another has been incorrectly rejected based on allegedly being time barred, however I have highlighted that there are two methods of time barred calculations in law where one such basis applies in my case.

I have requested substantive updates and specific responses to my particular cases and the circumstances applicable to the cases, which I am fully entitled to.

My specific requests are not being replied to or acted upon.

My experience of the service is that I am not being sufficiently represented in accordance with instructions.

Where a complaint is rejected by a lender on time-limit grounds, we assess the applicable regulatory framework carefully before deciding whether a referral to the Financial Ombudsman Service is reasonable and proportionate. Clients always retain the right to refer matters to the Ombudsman themselves if they disagree with that assessment.

In relation to ongoing cases, unfortunately many lenders are currently exceeding regulatory response timeframes due to significant industry backlogs. We continue to pursue outstanding matters and update clients when substantive progress occurs.

We aim to communicate clearly and act in our clients’ best interests at all times. If any client feels that our service has fallen below expectations, we operate a formal complaints procedure which allows concerns to be reviewed independently.

We have contacted the reviewer directly to address their concerns through the appropriate channels.

Lack of Accountability, Appalling Conduct, and Refusal to Pay Court-Ordered Judgment

2nd Update:

TMS Legal Ltd tried to dispute this review with Trustpilot, but TrustPilot Support confirmed it is not defamatory and reinstated it! Yet again, the firm chooses to manipulate situations instead of earning respect by taking accountability for their actions.

You'll notice today 11 February 2026, TMS Legal Ltd suddenly responded to multiple Trustpilot reviews dating back to September 2025. Seemingly triggered by my honest review, this highlights their reactive, and defensive approach to controlling the narrative of public honest feedback.

In this case, I wasn't asking them to comment,it was simply a review of my experience with them.

Update:

TMS Legal Ltd’s response below highlights the very issue behind my complaint. They were given sufficient opportunity to review my complaint, Letter of Claim, and court submission, yet failed to act within the required timescales. A default judgment was issued as a result.

For clarity, my request to revoke their authority to act on my behalf did not authorise the closure of my complaint with Lloyds Bank. This is nonetheless the instruction TMS Legal Ltd issued to the bank.

I hold written evidence, including documentation provided during their internal complaints process and the email sent to Lloyds Bank confirming they directed the complaint to be closed, which is considered incorrect and negligent.

Only after the legal process progressed did they submit a set-aside application outside the original response window. This does not change the fact that they failed to engage when required, despite multiple attempts by me to contact them, and the judgment remains unpaid.

While TMS Legal Ltd continues to rely on legal process language in its response, Trustpilot is a platform for customers to share their experiences.

As my review has not been formally disputed or challenged with a request for removal, I can only assume the information provided here is accepted as accurate and reflective of my experience.

My Review:

I filed a Small Claims Court claim against TMS Legal Ltd for negligent instructions and failure to provide agreed services. The court issued a default judgment in my favour, yet they have refused to pay.

Despite being fully aware that I intended to escalate to court, TMS Legal Ltd ignored all communication and attempted to use legal loopholes to overturn the judgment. One of their managing directors repeatedly sent the same emails, misrepresenting the firm’s actions and showing a clear lack of accountability and understanding of legal processes.

I have now escalated the case to the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Their conduct mirrors many other negative reviews: poor legal knowledge, inaction, and repeated mismanagement.

Too proud to admit error, this so-called reputable law firm lets enforcement continue to reclaim what's owed. I'm embarrassed for them!

I encourage others to stand up for what’s right.

TMS Legal claims to be ‘Your Advocate for Financial Justice.’

Yet clearly, that principle doesn’t apply to them.

Incompetent, dont bother

Waited 7 months for a decision to be told because I closed the overdraft more than 6 years ago the claim would be dropped. Surely this is one of the first things you check?
