Your complaint was upheld and resulted in redress from Capital One. As explained in our onboarding documents and agreement, lenders sometimes apply refunds directly to any outstanding balance rather than issuing a cash payment. This is known as an offset and reduces the overall debt owed.
Our fee is calculated on the total redress achieved, whether paid to you or applied to your balance, in line with the signed agreement.
We are happy to provide a clear breakdown of the figures if you contact us directly.
