Hi John, I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us.
I can assure you that no lies were made to you regarding your order.
Your order was placed with us on the the 20th of December - due to the festive period, this meant that your order would not be leaving us until the 28th of December — we were then informed on the 30th of December that your order was damaged at our couriers depot, which we did inform you immediately, and as that item was the last of our stock a refund was issued for your order.
Our policy regarding refunds is that they can take anywhere between 5-10 working days to arrive back into your account depending on what bank you are with and whilst this process is generally quite quick, it can sometimes take the full duration which was explained to you over the telephone.
As your refund was issued at 2pm on a Friday, your refund would not have arrived over the weekend nor would it arrived on the Monday as that was a bank holiday so the banks will have been closed.
As we have had no communication back from you, I can assume you have received your refund.
I do apologise for any inconvenience this has caused to you however, this was caused by factors fully out of our control I’m afraid.
Peejay Pets = Great prices
I like Peejay Pets because I can find what I want online, it tells me how many are left in stock. Sometimes it can take up to 3 days for items to be ready for pickup, but if I ring and ask, they can usually arrange for me to pick up later in the day. I find the prices really competitive and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Order to pick up
The website was confusing when ordering to pick up.
I did not know which store it was at.
When I phoned to find out they said they will phone to let me know when it would be in which they did.
But when went to pick it up they said it had to arrived from the OTHER STORE and I would have to wast my time and come back later.
No I was never told that it was out of stock.

All click and collect orders are processed through our main store on Cleveland Street as this is the store that holds the most stock.
Unfortunately, one of the items that you had ordered was out of stock and had to be transferred from our other store which was explained to you on your initial phone call - we did offer to give you a call back when all of your order was ready however, you did turn up before this phone call was made - luckily our driver did get back just before you left so it wasn’t a wasted journey for you :)
We are working on making the click and collect system better and a bit more clear for our customers!
Good cage. Bad using Yodel to deliver
The bird cage is great and exactly like I expected. Unfortunately the curriers used were awful. My parcel was sat in their depot for nearly 2 weeks. Only after complaining to them and Peejay was this resolved. Peejay was grateful for me letting them know. I would buy from them again but not if still using Yodel.
