My daughter and I came to Oxford needing a Short Let while my daughter attended a Summer Program. We were unhappy with our choices until reaching Lisa and Amber at Penny & Sinclair. Amber came up with a solution that was perfect for us just in time for the program's beginning. Lisa and Lillimai provided outstanding service and helped make our stay comfortable. We hope to be back next summer for another great experience in Oxford.

I recently sold my house with Penny & Sinclair and I would wholeheartedly recommend them as agents. Angie who did all the hard work was excellent - her original estimate of the value of the house, her encouragement and wisdom to hold out for higher offers when we had the offers from developers, her determination and enthusiasm to find people well suited to the house who really wanted to live there, and her friendly, positive, optimistic and professional approach throughout were all spot on and very much appreciated. I was pleased with how the process went and that it was completed within my timeframe.

I dealt with Penny and Sinclair for two short lets for my five-month stay in Oxford. Amber Littlechild was professional and courteous and was very helpful in every step of the process. Amber met me at the flat each time to deliver and pick up the keys and was available every time I needed assistance in between. I was also refunded my security deposit in a timely way without undue waiting. I would certainly lease through them again!

Penny and Sinclair dealt with my recent house sale in Oxford, which went without a hitch and with excellent personal service. We received valuations from a few estate agents and these varied quite widely, but we went with Penny and Sinclair since they provided the clearest rationale for their valuation. This decision was vindicated, since we accepted an offer above asking price within a few days. They clearly have a good understanding of the local market and pitched the property just right.

Our estate agent, Joe Worsell, was wonderful from the moment he showed us the house we ended up buying. Being polite and friendly, but impartial and professional, he earned our trust from the very beginning, so we were more than happy for him to manage the sale of our old house. We were prepared for a scenario that the house wouldn't sell fast enough, but it was done really quickly (and on top of that amidst a holidays season), we had 2 offers within 3 weeks. Joe continued to guide us further throughout the process, being always available, always happy to help, often going out of his way to provide the information and help that we needed. Can't recommend Penny and Sinclair enough!! After several terrible experiences with another estate agency, P&S completely surpassed all of my expectations (particularly Joe and his team). Joe is friendly, helpful and always strives to make the process as seamless and easy as possible. He was always responsive, respectful and was so dedicated. I felt like he was completely in my corner which made the selling process much easier to deal with.

As a tenant in a property managed by Penny and Sinclair I have the following feedback;

1. We made a complaint about black mould in the house 7 times over the course of 6 months. It was never dealt with, and we ended up leaving the property. - It was disgusting and had spread to three rooms!

2. Penny and Sinclair were the property managers and were most certainly more on the 'side' of the landlord, and not the tenant.

3. Other maintenance issues took months to get them solved.

4. Our assigned 'property manager' changed 4 times in the space of 14 months. (That tells me more about the company culture than anything else!)

5. At the end of the tenancy, it has taken a month (and counting) to get the final documentation and we still haven't had our deposit released!

Thinking of renting through Penny and Sinclair? - I would suggest you choose one of the other agencies in Oxford.

Our experience with Penny and Sinclair has been very pleasant from start to finish. Joe assisted us throughout the journey to buy our first home and he was very responsive and helpful to say the least. The process took a little longer than we expected but it was no fault of P & S who always kept us informed of any delays and would go above and beyond to do anything they could from their end. Overall, we are very happy with the service and would definitely recommend for sellers or buyers.

Penny & Sinclair have handled two sales for me over the last 10 years, the most recent has just completed. In both cases they were excellent, the lasted was a complicated sale, that was handled with a professional yet friendly manner. ALL calls were answered, all emails replied to, with the flow of information timely and informative. Highly recommended, all estate agents should work this way - very impressive.

Amber and Georgia are always responsive and very helpful. We regularly need short let accommodation for visiting faculty and the rentals are always of a high calibre.

We've just exchanged on a property through Penny and Sinclair Oxford. The experience has been excellent from start to finish. I had full confidence in sales manager Joe Worsell whose knowledge, integrity and sense of fairness guided us through what can sometimes be a daunting process. A great team too.
