The second pen I tried - the switch for the light fell off. I want to return them because I woud be too embarassed to give them out as gifts and have the same thing happen to the recipients. Reported this to the company but I have had no response.

The brightness of the light is so little that it doesn't have value. The whole reason for having the pen with a light is to be able to have a useful light.

They are a hit with our customers that we give them to. Most have never seen any like that. A very handy thing to carry in pocket all the time. Small compact pen writes well w/stylus in which I also personally like the stylus that helps a big finger dummy to text.
