Got an email about my 14 yr old dog all details correct even a photo, my niece checked it out for me told me it’s a scam. I emailed bk you are a scam and at 255am I got a very rude message back from a lady called Alison. Sad using peoples pet to gain money rotten people 😡😡😡
Petchip network sent me an email…
Petchip network sent me an email stating my cats microchip was about to expire .They had my address, phone number and my cats name and his microchip number .
I wrote a strong email asking to take my details off their site and not to contact me again.i also told them it was a scam (I googled them).
I received a very rude reply accusing me of being defamatory.to which I replied with the ASA findings and those people who confirmed it was a scam .which petchip network strongly denied telling me a pet microchip doesn't expire.
So why did they tell me otherwise 🤔.I have reported the email as spam. The strange thing was the emails I got in my box the times were in the early hours, that tells me they aren't even in the UK.They were very rude and making out I was the problem and not them
How they got my details I haven't a clue .
They aren't even on the GOV.Uk website nor are they recognised on legitimate microchip sites
Scam
Scam. They have all my pets details and was trying to get money for the chip or my cat would be unregistered. After my emails were hacked recently I am vigilant with anything I receive & looked into this & realised it’s a scam. Looks legit until they ask for payment as they have your name, address, phone number, animal microchip number. Scary digital world we live in.
Scammers
Received an email informing me that my 6 year old dog's microchip was due to expire and she would therefore become "unregistered". It looked legitimate enough, I almost paid the £18 they wanted me to pay to update. I'm glad I looked into this, ass it turns out it's a scam. They have my name, phone number address, dogs name and her picture! Scandalous behaviour!
Scammer
Scammer! email received today ... honestly lowlife's that are a waste of oxygen frequenting this earth, using peoples pets to get money!
SCAM
received an email with all my pets information stating that their microchip registration has expired and that they will display as an unregistered animal on all databases. Thought this was odd as never heard of Petchip Network before. Quick google search shows a lot of scam warnings and stories. Always do your reasearch.
Scam
As everyone else, two emails exactly the same received today the 10th June from the same IP address. It's extremely concerning that these scammers have all of my personal details and pet's. Have forwarded them on to the UK government's phishing department.
SCAM
I've just had the same email come through as all of the other 1 star reviewers. It's very scary and wrong that they have all of mine/my dog's information!! Someone needs to be doing something about this, as I haven't heard of them before, don't know anything about them, but they know all about me and my dog! They should be ashamed of themselves.
Beware scammers
I have received an email from this scammer strangely it was reported on BBC1 Morning Live programme a couple of days ago that they are scamming people. They have my details my mobile phone number my address my dogs name the fact that she has been spayed and her microchip details. Saying that she will become unregisted. Who are these people and what I want to know is what microchip database has been breached. This alleged company are NOT Defra approved.
The email I received from the scammers…
The email I received from the scammers had my street address, my email and my phone number, but I could still tell something wasn't right. This is completely criminal and totally a scam and, honestly, kind of genius. I'm almost jealous I wish I could be a bad person too and make tons of money.
no phone numbers, scam
After 5 years of owning a dog, out of the blue comes this firm telling me I am not registered with my dog.
With correct details, be warned it appears after looking its one big scam.
The website looks good, but further looking it appears it is a scam. Tried to contact kennel club through them, came back as scam. Reading other peoples comments and pet vets, it appears good, but is not valid.
Watch your step. Keep well clear is my advise.
Scammers
Scammers! Just received two emails about two different cats on my old email address (did a legal name change). Despite the out-of-date name, like others I am angry they have my two pets names, my address, and phone number. Glad I checked online, as I nearly fell for it! This company is a scammer and needs to be stopped.
Got an email today with all my details…
Got an email today with all my details stating that pets microchip had expired. We have just started letting out cat out so I panicked clicked link and paid the £18 odd before checking on trustpilot! Very frustrating as looks so legit as literally has all my details.
GOT MY SCAM E-MAIL TODAY
Got an email today. Had all my information just as others reported. I realized something was off and Googled rather than responding. Was immediately alerted that this is a SCAM.
Scam scam scam
Scam scam scam. Had email saying my dogs chip was due to expire, with a link to click on for payment to renew. What's really frightening Is that they had my name address phone number and dogs name.
I got the same email
I got the same email, these are scammers as microchip in pets are a lifetime and they have all our information not good this should be looked into
Nearly fell for it
Nearly fell for it! They had all my details, but with an old address. Thought it was weird though as I didn’t think microchips expired. Thankfully I googled before falling for it
Scan
Sent me an e-mail claiming my dogs microchip registration had expired.Bull
Scammers
These scammers have my personal info, and are trying to scam me out of money. They are falsely claiming that my pets microchip is expiring, and in order to keep my contact info visible on the profile, i have to pay them to renew it. This company is dishonest and untrustworthy, they are outright scammers. Microchips DO NOT expire. I hope people see these reviews before they fall for the scam.
Just been caught by this
Just been caught by this. Rang my bank, Barclays, twice. Both people I spoke to said nothing they could do at moment and I am to ring them again once the money has actually gone. Guess it will be too late by then. Email I had had so much of my correct details so genuinely thought it was not a scam
