I had ordered a wool turtleneck sweater in the color lead (i.e., grey) and a multi-color polo shirt. I was unable to submit the order online (probably because of my service provider), and the telephone operator because of a poor connection (again, probably because of my service provider) thought I asked for a sweater in "red" rather than "lead." I checked my order online and discovered the mistake, and called Peter Christian, and got their employee Eleanor Spalding. I explained the problem, and fast work by Eleanor stopped and corrected the order (it had been packaged, labelled, and was about to ship). Two days later I found I could get $25 off my order, and called Peter Christian again, this time getting Jordan, who immediately refunded me the money. I soon received my order, and I am very pleased with the quality of my garments. Additionally, the call center operator on my next phone order (about a week later) got me a discount I didn't know about and saved me Additional money. For example, the wool turtleneck is machine washable - a real plus.
I also appreciated getting the note from Maxwell Alderton at Peter Christian explaining that prices are going to be going up because of the tariffs (the end of the "Golden Age of free trade between our two great Nations" as he wrote - not to get too political - just realistic). However, I believe I will continue buying from Peter Christian in the future. I believe they are well worth supporting, their products are excellent, and I enjoy their products and service very much.
