You asked for advice...
Your "Returns" scenario could use some improvement. It is annoying to the customer.
Plus frustrating. You need to study the way they do it at LL Bean, Brooks Brothers, J. Crew, Lands End, etc. Make a purchase at each of these. When it arrives, drag it through some mud and blood. Then put it through the washing machine three times. Then do it all again. Then return it. They will all take all such returns back without a blink. This is massively different from the way you do it, which basically distrusts the customer and never really gives him/her a fair chance to even wear the garment to see if it fits if they want to get a refund.

Your return has already been refunded in full.
We ask our customers to simply try items on rather than removing tags, washing, and wearing to establish if they are a good fit. The reason for this is to prevent the needless discarding of finely produced materials that could be re-sold.
We would not sell a product that has been utilised as described in your feedback, hence why we do not accept returns in that condition.

My experience doesn't just relate to…
My experience doesn't just relate to the interaction around 12/26 but goes back to last year when I first ordered clothes from Peter Christian and was pleased by the quality of the products and the service that was provided. So, when I needed to purchase some more products late last year, I went here even though there are a number of quality men's clothing store in the area and even though it wasn't clear whether there would be a cost impact as a result of all of the tariff activity underway.

In the end Totally thrilled with my Harris Tweed slippers
I am totally thrilled with my Harris Tweed shearling-lined slippers that I received at my home in US today! I had a different slipper from Peter Christian and was so pleased that I ordered these. When ordering, I selected Size 10 as that was the tag in the first set of slippers I had ordered. I was sent a size 9 which was too small. I contacted PC by email and was told the mistake was mine and no exchange or refund was possible. Once the holiday week was over I called the PC number for US and spoke to a wonderful Customer Service person who helped completely return the size 9 slippers for a refund. I immediately ordered these correct size 10 (US11) and have received the new pair less than a week later. Please covey my highest praise for your customer service lady who so cordially and correctly addressed my needs! I only wish this horrific tariff issue would go away…

UK sizing is slightly smaller than the US sizing, we usually recommend going up a size.
Unfortunately we do charge $30.00 to return orders to us, as we are based in the UK.
The charge covers the International Shipping cost to return your order and processing back to the UK.
Regrettably International Returns are more expensive.
