I bought a conch ring on Piercing Mania for £30, thinking it would be high quality and cute. It was extremely thin and the clasp broke after putting it in once, which meant that it fell out while I was sleeping and the hole closed up. A huge waste of money.

Piercing mania is selling fake unsafe metals and misrepresenting them as "implant grade", "hypoallergenic" or "body safe".

I bought several "Implant grade titanium" clicker rings from them only to experience a fairly horrific allergic reaction that persisted until replaced with real titanium jewellery from another company.

I decided to test the metals which revealed them to be aluminium, not titanium, which is not safe for use as piercing jewellery.

I left a review on their website which they have refused to publish. Others have mentioned similar experiences on other review sites so I don't believe this to be an isolated incident but rather a standard part of their business practice.

I love piercing mania. I have very sensitive skin and I have to wear pure gold jewelry.
I have tried nose rings/ studs from other sites and can definitely tell the items aren't pure as they state, because my nose will seep and get sore etc. Their stuff is worth the price, as it's good quality but they also offer discounts etc. I will never go elsewhere for my nose jewelry.

I ordered a pair of surgical steel barbell earrings and the ball was screwed too tight. I tried for a while to unscrew them normally and after that failed I looked it up and the website said the simple solution to this problem is to use pliers to unscrew the ball; which probably would be simple if I just conveniently had two pairs of small pliers lying around the house. All I have is a pair of tweezers which held the earrings fine but I only had my other hand to do the unscrewing and it worked just as well as it did the first time. I'm having to ask around to see who has a pair of pliers small enough to work for the earrings so I didn't waste my money but it is very frustrating and I don't understand why they had to be screwed so, so tight.

Clearly piercing mania deletes bad reviews

Ordered 2 exact piercings from this company just different sizes as my first order with them.
One broke upon trying to open the segment, a stone fell out of it. Gave up and didn't think to get in touch as my piercing was still healing. A few months later, I tried to wear the second one, wouldn't open. I needed to use 2 hands, a pair of pliers and help from the gods. After persevering it opened wonky, not in a circle like it should. Evidently, it was the same story trying to close it. It wouldn't close up leaving a massive wonky gap. Blood, sweat and tears later, I contacted customer service only to be sarcastically informed with a link to buy special tools to open my piercing.
It did not state that on the website that I need special forceps to open and close it. If I buy a product I expect to use it as is.
Ridiculous response. Not happy!

I have purchased earrings from here several times. I try and only use titanium and find that piercingmania are the cheapest around. The quality of the products is perfect. I have 11 piercings in my ears, so I buy a lot of studs and I don’t think I’d go anywhere else now. They come individually wrapped too, which ensures they’re hygienic. On top of that, their customer service is second to none. I noticed a price error on their website before I placed my order this time, and they told me to order and they would refund all to the cheapest price. Within minutes of placing my order, they had issued an £11 refund. I didn’t as for, or expect this, I just wanted some clarification on pricing, so they went over and above. Great company, great products.

I've bought from them on 2 occasions and have been happy with both nose studs. My second order got lost in the post but they soon solved this when I let them know.

I was unhappy with a Christmas present, after some communications I will be sending back for a refund via reward points. The communication and service so far have been really good. I will continue to use them as I have lots of piercings. I only came across them as my husband bought me some Christmas presents from there. Thank you

I had a massive lump on the back of my helix piercing. I thought I would have to take it out as it was so bad. The kit cleared it up straight away. I've just got my belly button pierced so I'm using it on that too.

Bought the healing kit for my very troublesome helix and conch piercings and followed the intensive routine recommended for troubled piercings. On day 6 of use the bumps had got bigger, my ear had swollen and is now a lot worse than it was before I started the process.

The kit did arrive very quickly so I can't fault that at all. It may just be my ears that don't agree with the kit although I have used sea salt and tea tree in the past so it's difficult to tell if it was the oil/butter, the frequency of treatment or everything combined.

I have tried to leave a review on their site just to make people aware that it *could* cause them issues but it has not appeared despite me submitting it.

The nose studs were perfect, sparkling and adds a soft touch. The fact that there were different sizes for the thickness of the bar really helped me as I tried to change my nose piercing and had the biggest problem with the curvy nose percing from claires it wouldn't go in but with these I managed to find the perfect size for my nose and the bottom of it isn't to thick.
Also had a problem with my order and it got sorted quickly.

I bought a stainless steel threadless jewlery as I usually buy these items from piercing mania but after 2 weeks it stained my ear black. I contacted them and was told a multitude of excuses about why this happened and why I wasn't entitled to my money back (£7... It was £7...)not limited too "this is an allergic reaction" "we cannot guarantee the quality of the metal used" "it's an allergic reaction again". I'm a stickler for following the rules and don't like to be bullied by businesses like this who deny responsibility for their actions. They sold me a crappy piece of jewlery which was not as described and tried to swindle me out of my money so luckily I got PayPal involved and got my refund. After the 2 months of waiting for my resolution the piercings metal has turned green. Gross. Won't be buying from them anymore since I have spent a lot at their business but when things go wrong on their end it's my fault? Not a good way to conduct business. All my other jewlery is in good condition, but to be manipulated and lied to by a company so they can avoid abiding by the law over £7 is not a company I want to buy from.

Almost forget the most important part of my review. They deleted my reviews of the product from their website!!!! All I did was show photos of my ear, say it was stained and after a week my reviews were gone and any review since was deleted. I notice people are doing bad reviews at 5 stars to avoid their reviews being deleted too. This company is absolutely not trustworthy.

I have always used Piercing Mania for my nipple jewellery. They give you good info about materials used in the jewellery and sizing etc. The pricing is good and they sell 'clicker jewellery' which I buy, as its so much easier for me to handle. They're communication and service are excellent.

Good quality and affordable. Customer service is amazing. I’ve had quite a few orders. When one order got lost in post they immediately sent out a replacement, no questions asked. I even got some sweets and a little card saying sorry and a discount code for my next order! Love this company and highly recommend.
