Terrible service


PJH have proven to be completely unreliable and poor at communication.

My delivery date keeps changing with no explanation, order tracking doesn’t work, and for the third day in a row I’ve been asked for feedback and my order has been marked as delivered when in fact it has NOT been delivered.

The only response I’ve been given is “it will be delivered tomorrow”. I do t believe that day will come and I will have to cancel my order and ask for a refund. I doubt that will go smoothly either.

Ordered through Screwfix (aka screw up), order confirmed, received an email into spam requesting I arrange delivery(after the time to permit next day delivery as advertised!), arranged for delivery to arrive today, had email confirmations, text messages confirming delivery. This morning having like others, rearranged my jobs around the delivery, sat waiting only to receive a message saying they had smashed the bath and would deliver half the order today and the remainder tomorrow!
No good to me at all, I rang PJH who couldn't give a s**t, I told them to cancel it completely, and then rang screwfix who were also very nonchalant and said they would speak to the supplier and arrange for a refund but this couldn't be an immediate refund, as it had to be done via the 3rd party supplier!
Funny that Screwfix don't advertise the fact that the suite is supplied by a 3rd party!
PJH are not just the delivery firm, they distribute the bathrooms as well, and as such should be more than able to safely transport a bathroom suite!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you can afford delay after delay and lots of excuses.

**Add on** - received a call from PJH to say that they understand part of my order is out for delivery (I cancelled with both PJH and Screwfix by phone) but they have a further delay on the bath as not in stock! They got both barrels for their incompetence!

Next day delivery cancelled and…

Next day delivery cancelled and rescheduled without any communication at all, four times in a row, back to back days.
Each day I chase sales and they assure me 3 of the order are in stock, there’s no reason for delay and swear blind it’s coming the next day…. Then they just don’t deliver it. 4 mornings off work wasted. Absolutely appalling way to do business.

Beyond Incompetent – PJH Have Failed in Every Possible Way

My recent experience with PJH was nothing short of a disaster. Their complete incompetence, lack of accountability, and utter disregard for their customers have left me furious.

I ordered a product through Screwfix, which was to be delivered by PJH. I followed their process, booked my delivery date, and received multiple texts and emails confirming it—including a final message at 5:20 PM the evening before, assuring me my order would arrive between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM.

Naturally, I arranged my schedule around this. I stayed home, unable to work during that time, and confirmed with my customer that I would be attending their property once the order was received. Then, at 10:30 AM, I checked the tracking information—only to see that my order had been marked as delivered.

Except it hadn’t been.

After checking with my neighbours, I called PJH, only to be told my order had never even been dispatched. They hadn’t put it on a van. In fact, they had no vehicles available to deliver it at all. Instead, I was casually informed it would arrive the next day.

No apology. No urgency. No attempt to rectify their mistake. Just a fed-up, disinterested customer service agent who clearly couldn’t care less. To make matters worse, I was told that if I wanted to escalate the issue, I would need to go back to Screwfix—because PJH, apparently, take no responsibility for their own failures.

Let’s be clear: as a small business owner, a screw-up like this is devastating. I lost an entire day of work, I let my own customer down, and now I have to rearrange other jobs—possibly cancel them—just to sit around again, hoping that PJH might actually do what they promised this time. And do I have any faith in them? Absolutely not.

What makes this even more insulting is the relentless stream of reminders about my delivery—as if I might be the one to forget. Meanwhile, their own system marked my order as delivered when it hadn’t even left the warehouse. If they can’t even get basic logistics right, why should anyone trust them?

I spoke to Screwfix and suggested two entirely reasonable solutions for PJH:
1. Arrange a same-day courier to deliver my order.
2. If that wasn’t possible, at least prioritise me as the first delivery the next morning.

Neither request was honoured.

Maybe this seems like a minor inconvenience to some, but let me be absolutely clear—PJH promised a service, confirmed that service repeatedly, then failed spectacularly to deliver it. And when called out, they didn’t even have the decency to apologise or make any meaningful effort to fix their mistake.

Their slogan is ‘Together we’re better’. Their claim is to be ‘Always our customer’s first choice’. They boast about their ability to ‘deliver to the right place at the right time, every time’.

Today, PJH failed to live up to any of those claims. In every possible way.

I wouldn’t trust them to deliver a newspaper, let alone an essential order for my business. Avoid them at all costs.

PJH advises delivery at 0802 on Friday 31 Jan
At about 1630 had a missed call from the driver. Called back and driver advised delivery will be about 1730 - will we be there? We said we would wait. At 1730 another missed call and call back - delivery wont be till about 1830. So we requested to come on Monday. Delivery was received on Tuesday. Didn't mind waiting - But now have received phone bill which shows that every call to PJH has a £2.67 access charge. Criminal? Certainly disgraceful.

Absolutely useless company who were…

Absolutely useless company who were meant to deliver a fridge freezer to me today on behalf of Screwfix? A company you can't contact as they give you a number you can't phone from a mobile! Their tracking doesn't work and they're Live chat doesn't work! Anyway received a message yesterday saying my appliance would be delivered today but no timeslot? This morning I received a timeslot of between 11 and 7 tomorrow! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I've already taken a day off work costing me over £100 ! Have now cancelled and two weeks after ordering I still don't have a new fridge freezer! I have told Screwfix I expect compensation for loss of earnings and they say they can't discuss that until the refund is made so I will refrain from putting a review on them until fully resolved,?

Poor products, unhelpful staff

Very poor quality products. They expect my distributer the unpack everything within 7 days which would mean my distributor would be delivering a bathroom fully unpackaged to my customers. The lady on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. I needed a replacement Wc panel which they said will be a 3 month wait and there is no other way around it. Luckily iv dealt with manufacturers before who are normally helpful so I have a bit of experience when they try to pull the wool over my eyes. We’ve ended up ordering a whole new unit to replace the panel to get the job completed for Xmas. We just need to battle who is covering the costs.
Says on there website always here to help, maybe help take your money and run but definitely not to support there customers.
I’ll be raising this experience with my distributors as this ISNT how the industry works.

Worst company EVER delivered broken mirror doors, refused to unpack as they knew they were broke and I've had an absolute nightmare trying to get a refund replacement or collection, they just don't want to know or help. Avoid at all costs

Bad customer service phone end

I had a bath delivered that had a clear fault on the inside of the bath. Because we had put the legs under it so not to damage it when turned over and taking the packaging off, this was classed as "installing it" even though nothing was drilled or anything! The fault was only found when taking the outer wrapping off and could be seen under the clear wrap that is still on the bath! The woman on the phone told me there was nothing they could do because we'd "installed it". She told us we had to take it back to B&Q which we did and they were amazing with us in store and couldn't understand themselves why they would not accept the return. They were met with the same blatant answer I was when they called up, which to be honest is very frustrating. Fortunately our local B&Q went ahead and solved it for us as it's a clear fault. It's such a shame that with all our great experiences at our local B&Q and the delivery guys themselves were great, the office end at PJH let's them all down. Very disappointing and I have more deliveries set with them which makes me very nervous to touch anything incase we get "blamed". Just plain bad customer service!

Excellent service

Excellent service. Preferred item online late on 11/11/24. Ext morning was offered choice of delivery date. Using tracking was able to monitor expected delivery time. Item arrived today, 10 minutes early.Cheery driver who removed item from truck and placed it in my garage. Great service

Bad communication

The company call the night before to say the delivery will be between 7am-8am
Now , currently I do not live at the property and so I have to go there. The same thing happened last delivery told someone MUST be at the prop between 7-8am as they have no way to contact you. I get a call 7.25 first time from delivery driver to say not to you until 8.30
Then today I get a call at 7.40 to say be 45 mins….. seriously your customer service is shocking. I suggest stop calling customers the day before and email or text to say your driver will contact you to let you know a time. End of!!!!!

Called customers services to discuss a…

Called customers services to discuss a shower door. First male employee rude, stated no couldn't help and hung up. Number provided by B&Q. Tried the number on order form. Female argued with me for over 20 minutes very obviously had not had training on the Consumers Act 2015.When asked if I could speak with her manager I was refused and stated she would tell me exactly what she was telling me. No resolution given.
All I requested was for a piece of seal and trim for a shower door they provided through B&Q. Eventually asked for the whole door if that's what they needed. Again refused.
Unable to find complaints on their website.

Company doesn't care

The company hides behind Argos for the bath panel product that we bought. Appalling quality for a company of such standing. Even worse is the refusal to accept any responsibility for the quality of the product. Initially they denied even making it until they were obliged to acknowledge it. One member of the customer services showed concern but has no power to do anything. Neither Argos nor this lot will accept the quality is c***. Have waited over a year for a response despite many attempts to establish contact with a manager, a quality department or anyone who cares about their reputation but there is no one. Am throwing the bits in the bin now.

Revieved a delivery from pjh Bolton and kne of the crew members by the name Dominic was very rude and used inappropriate language towards myself. Spoken to with a very angry manner

wouldnt advice people like this to work along side a company as it goes against company rules.

An absolute shambles.

How this company is still in business is beyond me. Placed a large order of bathroom fittings from a local store and thus was passed to PJH to deliver. First delivery arrived on time, offloaded, all OK. Two weeks later fitter opened basin unit to find it was the wrong 'hand', not as per the order or delivery note. Phoned store, worried as fitter was almost finished bathroom and was going to another job. Next morning the store manager arranged for a replacement unit to he delivered the following day. Nothing arrived so we called PJH to be told it wasn't delivered as the truck was too big for our road. The truck 2 weeks prior had no issue, but they'd sent an even bigger truck! If driver had called my fitters would have walked to the truck to collect it! Replacement unit finally arrived on the Monday, even that driver needed instructions as our road has a tight angle, but if you continue up for 100 yards you can turn and come back at a better angle. Large DFS, Dreams, Removals, Currys and Oil trucks have never complained. This man had no paperwork to take incorrect item back. The next day PJH sent another truck to collect this, in an even bigger truck! This driver at least called me to say there were overhanging hedges and his truck was too tall. Eventually the store manager drove up himself to collect it. An absolute shambles of a company and I'd never recommend them.

We cannot express how pleased we were…

We cannot express how pleased we were with the service received from PJH. From placing the order with B&Q we had 5 text messages from the delivery company keeping us informed on the delivery day we had a phone call from the driver and on arrival they could not have been more helpful. Many thanks

Poor quality materials + expensive prices

We purchased the Laila basin through MP Moran and
after using it for about six months it is completely covered in stains. Customer service told us that their sinks cannot get in contact with cosmetics - yes, cosmetics or beauty products! - and they would not replacement it, even if they claim lifetime guarantee!!
Not fit for purpose products and expensive prices, unless you are planning to leave the sink in a showroom. Avoid!
