Crappiest Company Around!!!

This company really doesn't have anything to offer but heartache. You can get everything else they offer elsewhere.
Their support team sucks, if you have an issue or don't get a product through the Installation Manager you are out of luck. You paid for it!!! So what!!! Suck it up buttercup, what do you think this is? Some kind or legitimate business?
They can send out emails to you every day but they can't answer a support ticket after a week. Nothing but automated replies to tickets you submit.

Worst consumer experience of my life!!

Worst consumer experience of my life!!

I specifically asked help about cancelling my subscription and I remember deleting all of my card info into their system. Not only they didn’t cancel my subscription they renew my subscription and charged me. In two occasions, I reached out to them to cancel my sub and get a refund but they either not cancel my sub and give me a refund.
The biggest problem is they don’t ever notify you beforehand. I live in the UK and after brexit nearly all of the issues fall into USA laws regarding to USA companies. In both ways it is illegal to renew consumers subscription without notifying them. I contacted my bank and try to solve it with them.
Heard some people solved it that way.
Apart from all of their disgraceful atedude to their costumers, their plugin and the end results you get them are so not worth it. even if they offer me all of them for £50, I turn my head before blink of an eye.

Avoid Dealing With This Company

This is a terrible company to do business with. Avoid at all costs. Their customer support is not only unhelpful but condescending and abusive and, in general, the ownership couldn't care less about you or keeping your business. I had a situation where the email address that I originally signed up with stopped working and I wasn't sure I was even going to keep using it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the Plugin Alliance's antiquated and backwards plugin verification system is dependent on referring to the email address that you originally registered the plugins with in order to allow your plugins to operate.

So, in the meantime, I bought more plugins from them using a different email address. I don't always use every plugin on every project so I didn't find out until quite a while later that doing this made the original set of plugins I purchased from them inoperable and when I tried to use them, I got a message that "the trial was over" and that I had to purchase new licenses in order to use them. Keep in mind, these were not trial versions and I already bought them.

When I contacted support, their arrogant and mistaken support rep insisted that I didn't own the plugins that I claimed to own and flat out insinuated that I was lying. When I quickly provided the invoices for the purchases proving him wrong, I not only got no apology for being called a crook and a liar, but was told that I'd still need to purchase those plugins again as they had no ability to allow them to be functional for two separate email addresses at the same time. I told them I could understand that in order to function, I'd need to download them again so that they could be associated with my new email address under one account but, as I already paid full price for them once, I had no intention of paying again for plugins I already owned.

While it's fully within their ability to transfer plugins to another account, they refused to do it unless I paid full price for the plugins again. When I objected -- as anybody in my position would, and should -- he just flippantly replied "that's company policy". This wasn't just a few dollars we're talking about, we're talking about 6 or more plugins, the cost for which, was well over $130 in total that they were expecting me to have to pay again in order to use the plugins I already purchased from them once. As much as I pointed out to them how ridiculous and unfair that "company policy" was, they would not budge on this.

There is absolutely no legitimate justification for them adopting this attitude other than blatant greed and a chance to gouge customers for every last cent they can. They easily could have, and should have, let me transfer the plugins that I proved to them I already owned to my other email address, but they couldn't care less about fairness or helping me. These are not the actions of a reputable company that anyone should want to do business with. The fact that 69% of the reviews of them on here, as of this writing, are only one-star, speaks volumes. I'm sure if negative stars were available as a rating, they'd be doing even worse. Compare that to the reviews of some of their competitors and you'll see a huge difference.

Unfortunately, they do carry a lot of good plugins that are not easily found elsewhere. But, before doing business with these disreputable creeps, I strongly suggest looking around elsewhere to see if you can find the same plugins you may have been considering buying from Plugin Alliance. For example, if you need something from Native Instruments, or Izotope, go directly to their websites and buy them there, instead of through these guys. If you subsequently have any issues with the plugins, you'll be very glad you did that instead of dealing with this truly awful company.

genuinely awful. I have tried to delete this piece of shit off of my computer but every time I open up pro tools it pops up with 200 things saying I need to active my 14 day free trial which I do not want because the plugins are ass anyways. even despite that it won't let me just get rid of it.

The Plugin Alliance installer does not…

No uninstaller no update options!!!!!
The Plugin Alliance installer does not show which plugins have been updated and does not give anyone the option to update. The only option is to install all plugins again from time to time.
It seems lazy and wasteful that there is no out-of-date option and you get the feeling that they do not take their customers seriously.

An inferior user experience and a significantly complex licensing procedure. They appear entirely immune to the ease with which their competitors interact with their customers and, through my personal experience, an ignorance which exemplifies a deep internal failure.

Unresponsive to customers

I deauthorized renewal payments because they renewed my subscription the last time without prior notification of the impending renewal. There are no easily visible ways of unsubscribing , and meaningful communication with support is made purposely impossible. I will be reporting them to the state attorney's consumer protection department.

They keep restarting my subscription…

They keep restarting my subscription even though I keep canceling. This is the second time I have to reach out to my bank and dispute them. Such a shame I was a loyal customer. Only reason I canceled in the first place was I found out they had been double charging me. Left a bad taste in my mouth and they offered virtually no help. It's a shame when good companies get bought by bigger ones and immediately go to the dump.

Plugins don't have an uninstaller on OSX. In addition the PA Install Manager program doesn't show if updates are available with the possibility of direct install those, so a manual search is necessary over their website, this is totally crazy.
I'm happy with the plugins, but these 2 functions are essential.

Horrible Customer Service

I wanted to buy a bundle on their website, however there was a problem in their card payment method - wasn't allowed to enter card details. Upon reaching out to their support, the only thing they could do is tell me I have to use another payment method (which is not available where I am located). Horrible support and customer service, I don't know how they're not bankrupt yet.

You guys have so many amazing products and often held sale to make a lof of them accessiable for us, I really appreciate, but you can't just sell it for $29.99 and the other day, sell it for $10 instantly. This makes customers that purchased your stuff feel bad. Apart from the marketing strategies other stuff are nice.

No uninstall! Pathetic.

How hard is it to include total uninstall? How hard is it, really? I just wanted to try some plugins, and now that I want to remove them, I need to go one by one in each folder (AU, VST, VST3, AX) to get rid of this piece of junk!

Impossible to uninstall, plenty of useless DEMO plugins clog the drive and DAW.

This developper installs VST plugins that cant be uninstalled. It is difficult to delete them because they are nowhere to be found in your VST directorys. Their installer program give you opportunity to download all their plugins, even tho you do not owe them clogging your drive and Audio Workstation with DEMO files that have to load each and every time you start your DAW. This is a nasty way to force you in to buying their software, because once you install it you will be stuck with software that dont work or be forced to pay to make it work. I am still trying to locate all the files. So far I located the installers, but the plugins stay mystery. Plugin Aliances Manager downloads a bunch of installers and dont even delete them after installing the plugins and nothing will be deleted uppond uninstalling Plugin Aliance Manager either. Manager will uninstall itself and leave a pile of garbage files behind, leaving you with the mysterious plugins that are insanely hard to locate, and we are talking about over 1 GB of DEMO plugins that mysteriously vanish inside your drive never to be found.

Subscription Scam

The auto renewal process this company uses is criminal. I paid for 3 plug-ins last year and was charged $150 a year later for a subscription I did not set up. I tried to cancel and they just stole my money. Any reputable company would CLEARLY notify customers of an upcoming
charge which they did not. I contacted support the minute I saw the charge, and they said there was nothing they could do about it. It just sucks being scammed as a customer. $150 may not be a lot for some people, but it can make all the difference for others. Stay away from this company

Plugin Alliance cancel you because of nation

This company is cancel people by national characteristics. They have canceled me because I'm Russian. I can't download plugins that I've purchased because I've borned in the "wrong" country as they think. Be careful with them, tomorrow you can be in their blacklist and you will immediately lose all money you spent to them. There are lots of another companies on the market who separate people from politicians, unlike these guys.

Btw even when I'm canceled they still are sending me a tons of their marketing stuff to e-mail. Business is business, right Dirk? :)

Plugin Alliance, if you read that comment - did you stop the war by canceling me and my colleagues? It's ridiculous, of course you're not. You do nothing to stop the war by cancelling Russian people. The only thing you did is inciting hatred.

You think that you are fighting for justice, but in fact what you are doing is deciding which people are right and who are wrong. Are you from Germany? I think your grandfathers can tell you how such ideas end.

Good luck to you, unsubscribed from all your offers and will not spend a penny to your company, even when you come running back for my money. Yes, your plugins are useful, but not irreplaceable.

Great overall

It's very easy to navigate on the website. The overview of every plugin is great and its easy to see others reviews. Also that there's always a video link to get a quick look on the plugin. I purchased the SPL PQ and then saw many more plugins that I wanted to purchase, but decided to go for a trial on one of the subscription plans. After just a couple of days I was so satisfied with the amount of high quality plugins, that I paid for a subscription plan. I also have to mention the plugin manager which is efficient for downloading and installing a new plugin.

After reading all the bad reviews, I can't understand what went wrong for these people. I hope they solved their needs for software elsewhere.
