Called PM247 for an urgent issue and they arrived quickly. The engineer was polite and resolved everything efficiently. Great service!

This is not a company. They are scammers.

Every negative review on Trustpilot is the same experience I had with them. Initial Quote of £120 + VAT to unclog my kitchen drain. I explained on the initial call that I have had this issue before and a wet vac was required. I was told this is not an issue and the engineer would be able to determine how best to resolve the issue.

After explaining the issue to the engineer, he left my flat for 10 minutes. I then received a call from the office trying to extort me for an additional £455 + VAT on top of the already paid £120 + VAT, as this now required the use of machinery and not just a plunger.

I have asked for the recording of my initial call - which is a requirement to provide personal data the company is known to have under GDPR, governed by Article 15 and this has been refused.

I have asked for a refund as the engineer did not do the work they were contracted to perform.

The person on the phone was EXTREMELY rude, unprofessional, and unsupportive.

I will be pursuing this matter under the necessary channels as it is clearly a pattern and a larger systemic issue that a single one off incident.

My girlfriend had asked her gardener to fix the manhole on the drain in her garden. When he lifted the cover it was full.
He called PM247 on my girlfriend's behalf, as we were out at the time. He had to pay £144 up front
They attended the same day, arriving an hour and a half later than they said they would.
The gentleman who attended looked at the manhole and said that it could not be cleared using rods and that it would need some sort of specialist machine, at an additional cost in excess of £500.
So far they had been paid £144, for which they had turned up 90 minutes late and had lifted an inspection cover, and they now wanted an extra £500+.

It was at this point that I looked the company up online and found the Trustpilot reviews from multiple people saying they seem to do this quite often.

I advised her not to go ahead and instead contact a more reputable company.
Dynorod attended today and cleared the blockage very easily using rods, and did not attempt to rip my girlfriend off.

Spent £834 essentially unblocking a drain. Absolute cow boys. Similar experience to other reviews. They basically turn up and hold you to ranson.

Vey unhappy will never use again.

If it had been my house I would have told them to leave and I would have asked someone else but was tenanted so did not want to leave them for another day with blocked drains

Well I got a lacklustre response from PM247 after I sent them a detailed account of their shenanigans. It just proves they don’t care and won’t accept any accountability for the rubbish way they treated me. On the basis of my experience I’d say avoid and find a trustworthy local plumber by recommendation, rather than this franchise.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! They prey on the vulnerable and needy and are very clever at manipulating you in to thinking they are good honest men but they are scammers. £600 down and still no answers. They told us they would be back the next day to jet wash our pipes as urgently needs doing and their office will ring us with a quote. The office quoted us 1500!! We declined and he immediately dropped it to 1000. We called dyno rod for a quote for jet washing a pipe who said it cost £180. Absolute scammers not even sure they no anything about pipes. Should be ashamed of theirselves and of course wouldn’t refund any money.

Actually no stars at all . Avoid at all costs please . These people do not care and will not listen . I called out an engineer for a blocked drain . Cost £216 . Got there had to ring the office as more work needed would not proceed until I paid another £558 . He then looked and found that actually there was no drain it was a soak away .Odd as it has worked for 16 months . There was nothing for him to do no drain unblocking no foul waste just a soak away . He left . He advised I talk to PM247 for a refund . This has been refused. I see many similar complaints on here and wonder how they are still in business. I had already exposed the pipe , the engineer cut that found a soak away and left . Nice £558 earns to do nothing . I have e mailed the company numerous times but they refuse to refund for additional work that was not done because there was no drain it. I can’t believe that there is no Body overseeing this company .Most of us are answerable to someone or some organisation but it seems not with these bandits . I can move on but it must be depressing working in an organisation such as this that makes money extorting money from vulnerable people who when they call are worried about protecting their home .Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.
As for their reply I have had numerous e mails from them refusing to refund the additional work that was never done . This is a standard response from PM247 they really do not care but want to seem like they do in their response . Appalling behaviour

I called out PM247 to unblock a 12’ drain on 14th April.
There advertised response time is 1hr. 3hrs 30min later the engineer arrived.
He took one look at my overflowing drain. Lifted the patio connection to my system and claimed that my entire drainage flow required a pressurised wash thru’ followed by a camera inspection.
I replied that I just wanted the drain unblocking. He insisted that his way was the only way and I asked him for a quote. He disappeared to his van and his HO called me and gave a price of over £500 - I asked how much it would be without the camera inspection and she quoted £450. When I told her I wasn’t prepared to do that she sent me a link for the £140 call out charge.
When I advised the engineer that we weren’t going ahead, he offered to do the job for £200 cash. I asked if this included the call out charge. He responded that he couldn’t wave that. He pressure washed the drain and was gone in 20 minutes. Absolute COWBOYS.

I contacted PM247 about a blocked drain and was quoted £140 for “assessment and clearance.”

When the engineer arrived, he was unable to remove the drain cover, so I removed it myself. He then looked into the drain for a few seconds and immediately said it would require specialist equipment. No attempt was made to clear the blockage and no equipment was used.

I then received a call from their office quoting around £900 for pressure jetting and a CCTV inspection, or £700 without the CCTV. After I refused, the price was reduced to £500 as a “first-time customer discount.” I declined again.

The engineer then returned from his van and said the work could be done for £400 cash. When I refused, he returned again with a further reduced offer of £350 including the call-out fee. The price changing from £900 to £350 within minutes raised serious concerns.

I declined the service and asked the engineer to leave. Shortly after, I received repeated calls from their office requesting payment for the visit. When I did not answer, the engineer returned to the property, entered through the back gate, opened the rear door and stepped inside. I was at home with my wife and our 11-month-old daughter at the time which makes the behaviour more concerning. He then pressured us to make a payment despite no work being carried out.

No clearance or meaningful work was carried out, yet I was still pursued for a call-out fee.

In my experience, the initial quote did not reflect the service actually provided, and the pricing changed significantly once on-site.

Shortly after we called another company who completed the work, including jetting and CCTV for £200.

I strongly advise others not to use this company!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Absolute con men. Charged nearly £700 for uneccessary work that took an hour to complete. They con you by not doing the easy fix on the initial visit and then tell you the made up/inflated cost and make you sign the contract there and then or they will charge the full charge out fee. They massively inflate the price - plumber friend later inspected the work and said it was entirely unneccessary. Basically conning customers. Please do not use them!!!

Had a great experience. The workman was really good, explained everything that he was doing. He even arranged a refund. I contacted the admin team and they were extremely helpful and arranged my refund quickly. Great service from all involved will definitely use again if needed

I am writing this to warn others, particularly seniors, about the deceptive pricing practices of PM247.

I was originally quoted a basic charge of £120 + VAT for a drain unblocking. However, once the engineer arrived, I was hit with a massive price hike to £445 + VAT (£534 total) simply for the use of a pressure hose—standard equipment that any drainage professional carries as part of their basic kit.

When I later queried their advertised "Senior Discount," the experience went from extortionate to outright deceptive. The accounts department claimed they "already knew" I was a senior and had applied a discount from a phantom "original price" of £495. This is a blatant lie for three reasons:

No Age Verification: I was never asked my age during booking or on-site. They could not have applied a discount for a status they didn't know I had.

Fabricated Reference Price: The "£495" figure appears nowhere in my contract; it was clearly invented after the fact to justify the high bill.

Extreme Overcharging: In 2026, the average London rate for drain jetting is between £200 and £280. PM247 charged me over double the market rate under the pressure of an emergency.

I have spoken to the engineer, who confirms the office's version of events is incorrect. I have reported this company to Trading Standards and Citizens Advice for "Misleading Actions" and have initiated a Mastercard Chargeback through my bank.

Advice to others: Avoid this company. They use "bait and switch" tactics and high-pressure pricing. If you have been treated similarly, report them immediately.

Scammed. Same as previous reviewers. Told it was going to cost another £400 (for something I'm sure another company would have fixed in a mo). Avoid.

⁠Response time was good and the pipe was unblocked without any problems. The job itself was quick, though the total price was more than I anticipated.

The blockage was fixed and the technician seemed experienced. However, the process took some time to start due to paperwork and the cost felt a bit higher than expected.

⁠They came out fairly quickly and solved the blocked pipe issue within minutes. The technician used professional equipment and the pipe was cleared. I just wish the pricing had been clearer beforehand.

The engineer was very good. be aware that head office will charge you an initial fee for the call out. They will then add a huge price on to complete the work.

The requested job was undertaken on behalf of someone that we support. It was a particularly unpleasant job and another company local to the area had declined to undertake the job. PM247 attended on very short notice, quite literally rolled their sleeves up and got the issues sorted, no fuss. Communication was excellent, price was very competitive and service was above and beyond what was expected. I could not have asked more from this company and their engineers, absolutely first class service from start to finish.

Substandard and didn’t even unblock the drain correctly still blocked further down the line and backed up 1/2 later. Turned up a day late, supposedly due to all night blockage and charge a call out charge. Asked for £575 to unblock we said no. Turned back up 15 mins later and said they will do it for £200 cash and didn’t even clear the block drain outrages
