Highly unprofessional service
Highly unprofessional service. The charger stopped working three days ago. An engineer visit was arranged and then cancelled at the last moment after I had already taken the day off work. Now they are offering another appointment five days later on a day when I am not even available.
This means I have effectively been left without a working charger for more than a week. Luckily, I have another charger from a different company which has always worked perfectly and never given me any issues. Otherwise, I would have been forced to rely on public charging because this Pod Point charger seems to never work properly.
Customer service has been extremely poor throughout. Also, the tethered version of this charger feels very flimsy and low quality. I would definitely not recommend buying the tethered model.

I found it so hard to get in touch with them, although helpful once getting through to them, I just hope if anything goes wrong with the charger we don’t have the same palaver. Chap who fitted it, was very friendly and nothing was to much trouble.

Had to call due to a problem with charging after solar panels were installed. The person I spoke to was extremely helpful and fixed the problem remotely. I just wish other call centres were this good.

Lasted 4 years & even CEO doesn't care
Lasted 4 years. Paid over a grand and had faults from get go but their customer care is disgraceful. They'll do anything not to take accountability. I have the tethered version and they are trying to charge me £400 for a new cable - that coms from china! - or £600 for an upgrade even though they deem 4 years as acceptable usage for it to fall apart!
Needless to say I'll be swapping it out for a more reliable provider, which, speaking to the last 5 EV charger suppliers, is literally every other provider!
If you only need a super expensive charger for 4 years then I'd maybe consider this, especially if you like customer care advisers who don't speak English well, don't bother to resolve anything and defo if you like being fobbed off by CEO, Melanie Lane - if that's your bag then this is for you. Otherwise steer clear

Installation went like clock work, installer was first class and proffesional at all times.
Happy with location of the install but….
Happy with location of the install, only downfall is the mess that was left inside the cupboard in our house, there were Brick dust left all.

Pod Point recently fitted an EV…
Pod Point recently fitted an EV charger. The process to purchase was easy and I was able to get hold of them on the phone to discuss any issues. The engineer (Rhys) who came on the day was professional, quick and tidy. He took his time to make sure he explained everything and helped me to download the app and understand it as well. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking to get an EV charger.

I think it would be helpful to highlight those conditions that POD POINT will not be able to fulfil, I.e. “not working in a loft space/void and not working above 6’ before customers complete the survey etc.
