A really interesting day pottering around in beautiful woods looking at a huge array of native plants and trees. Graham & Natalie were very knowledgeable about the plants, roots and seeds in the woods and we ate our way through the day sampling many different things. The recipes and products to sample at the end of the day have inspired me to try more wild cooking.

Graham was a welcoming, friendly and extremely knowledgeable teacher. The content of the course was thorough and was delivered in both a practical and a class based format.
Although there was a lot to cover in the weekend there was plenty of time scheduled for breaks or to practice recently learnt skills.
Absolutely worth the money for anyone who wants to learn about bushcraft, plant and habitat knowledge as well as practice a ton of new skills.

A fantastic day with Graham at Polaris, he knows his stuff and was very happy to share this knowledge through organised activities within a stunning woodland. I look forward to attending more courses with Polaris in the future.

Polaris bushcraft gave me a safe place to explore new interests and reconnect with nature. The tutorials were informative, interactive and fun. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a get away from modern life.

The course really gave us the confidence to try other materials at home.ive since managed to use a different wood as a hand drill and shape new bow drills at home. it really showed me on it can be as easy as you tube when you know what you are doing. It also showed me the importance of having multiple ways of lighting fires.

Beautiful woodland! Nice small friendly group. So many interesting things to do! Graham is a very nice and professional instructor. Thanks Graham. Wanted to back soon. We'll survive :)

Thoroughly enjoyable course, giving a great insight into the art of bowmaking and its links to bushcraft.
Your host is knowledgeable and patient, which makes this course accessible for beginners but also of value to more experienced bushcrafters/archers...of which I am neither! I also hate camping but found staying in the woods with a roaring fire and good company thoroughly enjoyable.
If you're considering this well-priced course, at convenient distance from London, don't hesitate!

The foraging place was in a forested area, learned to identify a number of new shrooms as well as a number of edible and medicinal plants. Some mushrooms I expected to find were unfortunately lacking such as the wood bluit. Taster session at the end by the campfire was nice. Only part I would like next time is a walk through nearby fields to try and discover some shrooms and plants there. I bet we would have discovered more. Great instructor couple!

The longbow making course was quite an intense weekend in terms of the learning and making but it was set out really well with plenty of support and guidance from Graham. I learnt a lot about longbow making, and myself! Even though there was a lot to get through during the weekend the atmosphere felt nicely relaxed and the beautiful woodland setting (& kettle constantly on the fire) was a lovely way to spend the weekend. Thanks!
