Graham is an extremely knowledgeable and attentive teacher. I had a great time and learned some interesting new skills like making a spear launcher!
I highly recommend this course.

Graham and Natalie were extremely knowledgeable about mushrooms … the trees, edible plants, the soil, the trees, the berries, the leaves, the lot… the whole life of the woods, a really great day, highly recommended.

I went on the wild food and forage day. I really enjoyed my time there. There is a diverse set of flora and funga in the south of England, and to learn about it was really fascinating.
We gathered, collected and sampled (where edible!) a diverse set of plants and fungi.
Instructor Graham is really smart and knowledgeable. I've previously been on a bushcraft essentials day course and also had a great time there too.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Polaris Wilderness to anyone wanting to learn more about bushcraft, foraging, or any other survival related skills.

Graham is a great instructor, funny and clear. I was a bit concerned about the amount of work, but the hard-work (with some extra help) paid off and I brought home a lovely handmade Longbow.
I would definitely recommend this weekend, the place was an oasis and the chocolate biscuits a treat.

A wonderful experience for me and my son. We both thoroughly enjoyed it, brilliant tutor and a wonderfully set up Basecamp with kitchen side to prepare food. Toilet facility was as good as you could get outdoors and Tutor was very knowledgeable.
An action packed weekend with friendly, very knowledgeable instruction. My 13 year old and I loved it.

Really great experience. I felt totally out of my depth to start off with but Graham is an expert teacher and I was amazed by what I was able to achieve. It is also great for giving me ideas for things I can do with my son in the future.

Had a great weekend and learned a lot thanks to Graham and his wealth of knowledge.
From fire making to drinking pond water (safely I might add), there was a lot to cover during the weekend.
Right number of students on the course too, so there was plenty of bandwidth for Q&A and assistance etc.
Will be back again for sure.
I took part in the bushcraft weekend in june. It was a fantastic experience. Graham, the instructor, was a lovely guy with great knowledge and experience who had a genuine passion to share his skills and to educate and train those attending the course. It was well structured and done at a good pace where you were able to take on the information, practice new techniques and enjoy the beautiful forest where the course takes place. Plus i met some very nice like minded people to work alongside and strike up friendships with. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of doing a course to book with Polaris as you wont regret it. I will be going back again for more courses. Its a cracking day/weekend out with memorable experiences and important skills to learn for yourself and others.
Great tutoring with variety of topics. Really stimulating to learn more. Totally enjoyed it!
Great couple of days (and nights) in beautiful ancient woodland, great group, and tons of input from an expert instructor. Definitely coming back

I tried the bushcraft and survival weekend course. Bear in mind I am a complete amateur who had never done anything like this before, but was interested in learning how we use to live when the world wasn’t given to us on a plate.
The weekend was great, very relaxed atmosphere with an extremely knowledgable instructor (Graham) who was always on hand to answer all questions and point us in the right direction when we were going wrong. We learnt a load of new skills, including how to identify and gather natural materials, then turn those materials into something useful, such as shelter, fire, and chord.
I would definitely recommend this course to anybody who is even remotely interested in bushcraft, or even if you aren’t, I would still recommend as there is something extremely soothing about being out in the wilderness, at night, sitting in front of a fire you have created from scratch.
10/10 course. Will definitely be looking at the other workshops on hand to further my knowledge.

Had a great weekend on the beginner survival course. Learnt so much in a short space of time without it feeling overwhelming. Graham is very knowledgeable and delivers everything in a fun, charismatic way. The knife skills and knot knowledge is particularly useful! A really fun and informative day. Graham is full of knowledge and teaches with a wry humour and patience. The woodland is beautiful and calming. The camp has everything necessary for a day spent learning to make fire using 7 different methods. We were lucky to have perfect weather conditions and spent 7 hours immersed in nature and learning. Highly recommend.

Graham packed a huge amount of information into a very well paced, well organised entertaining and enjoyable course. Success with the bow drill for all attendees was the icing on the cake! Many thanks for an excellent day
