Polygon Leak Detection UK Reviews 

During the visit 26/10 Angus spent aproximately 3 hours trying to find the leak but could not find anything. I was informed that a further gas test would be needed. This would involve a return visit and a drain down of the system. I rang the office Saturday 28/10 for an update and was informed the trace and access team do not work on a Saturday so I left a message for a call back. As of today 30/10, I've still not heard from Polygon.

The Engineer could not identify a leak but was very helpful

Communication was good & the 2 x engineers we had on site carried out their investigation work in a professional/polite manner and assisted in finding the leak.

In terms of service standards the experience with Polygon has been highly professional and from my own viewpoint is the highest standard of professionalism experienced in a long while. Experiencing a leak is always troublesome however however a service standpoint Mark was highly informative as to how to approach our situation and earnest and transparent in terms of pricing; his response time was highly commendable and again sets the bar in terms of straightforward communication. In equal measure, Gary who attended our property was very courteous and sent me a SMS in advance to inform of his arrival time. He was polite and clearly explained his approach and method in terms of testing having then ultimately resolved our issue. I have some familiarity in supply chain management and it is rare for a company to be excellent in terms of both service and delivery; based on my experience I would certainly recommend Polygon going forward.

I have a long term leak problem that no one has been able to diagnose.

Polygon was recommended via the insurance company, they were right to do so.

I am working overseas, and couldn't be at the property when they conducted 2 survey's. However, the reports, including two videos are so thorough I can stay up to date with the findings from my desk.

My parents were there with Polygon when they did the survey's and said their team were professional and very well mannered.

This whole leak situation has been a massive source of stress, as you can imagine. Polygon has been the only source of relief so far.

Wish me luck with the insurance company.

Very competent engineer , confirmed the problem and very carefully described the necessary outcome to resolve our problem. Despite confirming our leak early on, was exhaustive in checking all other areas thoroughly to ensure we had no other problems. Thank you James!

Having been assigned to this company by Privilege Insurance Company, from start to finish I've been very pleased with this company's service. I hope I get the names right but I think it has been Martin & Ed for the leak detection, Marcus & Dan from the drying team and the ladies from the office have all been most helpful in guiding me through the stressful event of locating the leak, getting the house dried out & helping with the removal of spoiled goods.

Due to an ongoing water leak problem we called Polygon as we felt the dehumidifier installed was possibly leaking. Polygon technician Liam called and installed a new machine after he confirmed old one was leaking. But he also assisted us in so many extra ways both practical and technical to try and resolve the water leak issue itself we are experiencing and could not have been more polite, friendly or helpful. Very impressed and our grateful thanks.

Mark in the office was extremely helpful and worked over and beyond what I expected. Craig on site gave full information throughout his visits.

Lovely workman named Eddie arrived on time done the tests for us and found out the problem.

The company arrived on time & did a efficient professional job. They showed us where the problem originated from which was really helpful.

The service provided was excellent and everything was explained very clearly and professionally.
The service is expensive but you get what you pay for.

From the very first call, I felt that my problem was understood Leo provided full disclosure on costs and capabilities and managed my queries with knowledge and experience. Ed Meeran, the engineer sent to my premises, was thorough, punctual and knowledgeable. A good experience when I was concerned about the leak at my property. The refund I was due was processed right away. 5 stars from me from beginning to end.

Found Polygon excellent. Heating system/boiler had been losing pressure for months, gradually getting worse until needing topped up every day. Platinum Boiler cover which included radiators and pipes with a well known insurance company wouldn't cover, so paid myself to find the leak. Polygon offer a 'Trace Only' service - Non-intrusive leak detection, using thermal imaging, sonar or gas detection (they drain the water from your heating system, fill it with some inert gas, then go round with a sniffer device to detect where the gas is coming from). With Trace Only, they mark the spot and provide a report usually for your insurance to deal with. The enhanced service is 'Trace and Access' where they expose the area where the leak is (if under floor boards for example) so it can be fixed by them for an additional charge or by your own plumber.
They recommend you have your boiler checked for leaks before engaging them as it's quite an expensive /time consuming exercise. I did this, and inspite the plumber stating 'it's definitely not your boiler', the Polygon engineer having sniffed his way round the entire heating system for 8 hours, finally identified the leak was coming from the heat exchanger in the boiler.
I had paid in advance for the 'Trace and Access' service, but since no access was required, they refunded £300 direct to my account. This was done without contacting me and just showed up as an unexpected bonus on my bank statement one day.
Summary: excellent service from the engineer who visited and from the company who proactively refunded me the difference between the Trace Only and Access service.

Useless company who were instructed by the insurer Integra whom are equally as useless. The first visit to assess water damage was a waste of time with no equipment being installed as I couldn’t empty buckets of water, not a great way to treat someone who was physically impaired and I imagine others have had similar treatment. I then had to wait another month for another technician to come out who did what the first guy should have done. 2.5 months later I’m still waiting for a follow-up visit, with it being 6 months since my initial claim. I was also told my paint was waterproof which is why my walls weren’t drying out. It was normal imulsion paint, the reason the walls were wet were that it took 2.5 months to come out and fit a dehumidifier after severe water damage from the neighbours house which has had to be gutted. The guys either don’t know what they are talking about or try to lie to the customer thinking they are stupid. Also wouldn’t give a star but had to, to leave this review.
