Easy to use website and very competitive prices

Don't have experince about claim but hope fully not to use it.

Never thought buying insurance would be so simple. I hope I never need to make a claim but if I do I really hope it will be as easy.

Purchasing the policy online was easy. I had a problem with the payment process and my email was answered promptly and I was able to sort it out easily.

Bloody love these guys, I left racq because their mess up nearly took me to court and at 19 I can’t afford over $10k in fees when it could’ve been resolved when the incident happened not 8 months later; poncho is affordable, covers everything on my car and is so easy to use and customer service is top notch, had a truck hit me last month and the process was so easy and quick I was extremely surprised and grateful,

Easy sign up proces. hopefully the claim process is just as easy. But i hope that day never comes.

A way to save the quote would be nice, also auto refreshing of the monthly rate when extra drivers are added or removed in the last check page.

Nice and easy, but you can't pay annually. How strange. My credit card expires in the next few months, which meant I have to update my details. What if I forget? No insurance. Never heard of this before.

Poncho oh Poncho, I had such high expectations for you...

1. My car was confirmed a total loss, Poncho kept charging me for something I no longer had, so I had to chase this up to get fixed (seeing from the reviews, I am not the only one)

2. Poncho Insurance firstly advised in my contract and PDS that if my car’s a total loss as a result of an event covered under 4.1, and it has less than 15,000 km on the odometer then they will replace it with a SIMILAR car if it’s available in Australia within 8 weeks of it being written off

3. I had a KIA GT-Line diesel which retails for $68,070 on road, problem was that the it was a 4-8 month wait due to COVID, Poncho advised that because it is longer than the 8 week period that they will only payout $49,000
4. Now the issue with this, is that I met their requirements in my contract and PDS which clearly states they will replace it with a SIMILAR car if it’s available in Australia

5. So after escalating this to management and they advised that if I could get a SIMILAR car within 8 weeks period, they will honor the contract (lucky me)

6. After calling several dealers in NSW for the replacement vehicle I eventually found the same KIA Sorento GT line model, but the cheaper petrol version with a few options and the only reason I got this car was another person’s finance fell through

7. I happily paid the deposit to Great Western Kia and supplying the relevant documents to Poncho which car was being delivered on the 3rd of June 21

8. A week later I was advised from Poncho that the car must be “like-for-like”, even though was not previously advised, along with the fact it clearly says in my contract and PDS the car fits the description of SIMILAR

9. Poncho then reverted back advising that they will only payout $49,000, for a car that was only purchased on 24th of December 2020 that is with $68,070 on road, this is after I have already signed the contract for the new car and deposit made

10. I have tried resolving the matter with their very friendly phone consultants, but Poncho management is something else entirely… never once got a callback from management as promised

11. Never once was I offered a loan car even though their PDS offers up to 21 days

12. My car baby seat capsule was broken with supplied invoice, never heard back about this either

I’m sorry Poncho but your claim service experience has been a horrible one to say the least, being in a car incident is stressful enough especially having a baby and no car…

You have dropped the ball on this one and have left me no choice but to take this further.

Would I recommend Poncho? No, I would not.
