The Poppy is a symbol that represents…

The Poppy is a symbol that represents ALL service personal that have represented our forces over many years, by sacrifice and injury. I’m disappointed that the RBL have tried to remove the main purpose of the poppy by going woke.

Morally bankrupt and WOKE.

I have contributed to the legion for years but, The organisation has now become WOKE and shall not be supporting them ever again.

I would even go so far us to remove their charitable status.

Wherever you look these days, the ridiculous LGBTQ narrative is thrust in your face and yet let’s be fair, every serving member of the UK armed forces is the product of one man and one woman.

We have to start getting back to decency, and start getting our morals back.

The Royal British Legion are an embarrassment to the brave personnel they claim to represent.

Disgrace!! Desecrating the poppy!!

Disgrace. Changing the poppy to a LGBTQ+ & BLM collaboration is a desecration of the poppy. Filfth!
Your purpose is to support those who fought for this country!!!!!! Not the left wing ideology of Keir Starmer and his crew.
You should be ashamed.
Boycot this company!!

Abused in my local shopping centre who said my grandparents generation gave their lives for me. This is not true my grandfather did not fight! He was a Methodist preacher and pacifist! He told me I didn't know what I was talking about.

I did not study this aspect of military history when I did my masters degree.

Accosted in Morrisons…

Accosted in Morrisons by a RBL rep who made very racist comments about no Muslims sign up for the armed forces and Muslims donate zero to poppy appeal. How the latter could be verified defeats me! Too shocked to reply to him but left me thinking time to stop donating.

A complete scam!!!

For many years I have made my own crochet poppies for the British legion and I have raised several hundreds of pounds. Unfortunately I clicked on a link a few months ago on Facebook to see further information on a 100km walk, within seconds a link had been added to my page, which I had not allowed! (unfortunately I was sponsored immediately) so now I am at loss of the money I had been sponsored (I have refunded them all myself) as it is clearly a con!! Please beware!!

Was instructed to phone by the police

Was instructed to phone by the police. got a call at 7pm with a broken signal which can happen but this was appalling, still it happens. after explaining my situation came to the conclusion I was gonna receive no help and would most certainly be wasting my time that was obvious, won’t be answering the call back I’m many things but I’m quick at catching on, lesson learned. Also why I thought I’d get help when many ex soldiers are on the street and seeing the dreadful reviews after the call I’ve learned, I will help myself.

I’ve thought long & hard before writing this. A Lincolnshire branch are not all they seem. I asked a gent collecting at local supermarket where his medals are from. He went into great detail. They were plastic. He also didn’t know his medals. He claimed to be ex SAS (he had the wrong beret on). Several times I’ve asked them to support various veterans (I work in safeguarding). Always declined. No help offered. They only turn up if the press are around.

Blackburn Corrupt office

Do not donate to these, I’m a veteran but Blackburn branch removed me from a hotel and as such I was seriously assaulted in my car, I’ve complained and guess they do absolutely sod all. This institution is corrupt to the core, the old woman who quickly drops veterans veterans in the Lancashire area should be sacked. Total disregard for a veterans safety and doesn’t give a toss about safety where vunerable adults are concerned. 2 months ago I complained not a dam phone or acknowledgement of the crap service provided. I have numerous times tried to complain and got laughed at. I have ptsd from the army and is classed as disabled but they don’t give a flying do do about the danger the Blackburn lady put me in. This corrupt charity will never change, it’s outdated and needs to be investigated by the charity commission. Be warned if you give your hard money to these they will use it for mostly their benefit and not a stick more.

RBL get that woman sacked in Blackburn she is crap and doesn’t represent your charity well or serve us veterans with respect. Get that lazy woman sacked

Appalling Customer Service..

I placed a purchase and paid £4.00 delivery fee in the expectation my order would arrive within 3-4 days of ordering and ready for remembrance day. The order eventually arrived 9 days later which was a while after.. When I queried this with the RBL they advised it should arrived 14/11/23 (again late) and haven't replied to me since. I've never written a review in my life yet I felt I needed to with RBL due to the appalling customer service.

I would recommend never ordering anything from RBL

Good experience with Poppy shop

Don't know the whole story regarding the RBL snub of GB news, but if they did Good. Kind of strange people associating the poppy with right wing propaganda. Hilarious other reviewers are up in arms about the snub, possibly they've forgotten why their grandads and great grandads fought in WW2 and would rather defend a media organisation intent on spreading fear and hatred towards refugees.

Anyway had a good experience with the Poppy shop, my poppy brooches arrived in time and are lovely.
