From start to finish was polite, friendly and efficient while explaining in terms I could understand with being condescending. Everything completed smoothly and a lot quicker than I ever imagined.

I have two pensions a work place pension and a stake holder pension. Neither of these are with you so can you please stop sending me letters

every member of our team that I have spoke to listened to any questions I had then not only answered the question but explained in simpler terms the parts I could not understand . nothing was too much trouble and your staff were happy to advise me and explain why things should be done a certain way but at the end of the day they also explained that the decision was mine to make and everything they had said was just advise based on there experiences they never tried to force me into any thing

Portafina.co.uk sent me an unsolicited letter claiming to have a five star Trustpilot rating which is entirely incorrect. The whole thing seems like an evil scam. Please read all the reviews and writings about this company.

Portafina where so helpful, they did everything for me and kept me Informed every step of the way.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY!! I’ve been trying to get my pension for eighteen months!! And have still not received it. I have a underlying health problem and they have caused me untold stress I have put a complaint in and I am waiting a response.

This company has been excellent so far was worried about the negative feedback back especially with so many scams out there. Hopefully Portafina lives up to their promise.

I am very disappointed with the service started last September too change my pension transfer i have seen too be doing all the checks myself self just found out off my old pension firm this week that they have not even signed the paperwork dated two months ago too release my old pension transfer it seems like iam doing all the work myself as they wanted me to get in touch with them so they could email me the paperwork so I could forward it to them which I did they said they would ring me back straight away to let me know if they had received it still waiting it seems to have been excuse after excuse iam getting to a point now where wish I had not bothered would not recommend too anyone

Absolutely awful. This process has been grinding on forever. Despite agreeing to pay their exorbitant fees, I have today found out, after many previous delays, that they have been sat on a vital email for nearly 3 weeks. I was horrified to find out about this, and asked for a call back by close of business so I could find out what needed to be done. This request was completely ignored. I would advise any prospective clients to go elsewhere, this service is appalling. The have taken 19000 on fees and can't even forward an Email or return my calls.

I wouldn’t recommend Portafina.
I have been using Portafina for nearly a year, having been required to by regulation, and to be honest, I haven’t been happy with the service they provided which has caused me “distress and inconvenience” and the compensation paid due to their “administrative error”.
I now need to go to the Ombudsman to address my concerns as I feel they haven’t listened to me and what I believe is inaccuracy in the last letter they sent me.

I don't recommend this company for pension withdrawal. I have spent weeks chasing updates on my 25% tax free withdrawal from my pension. This company did not listen to anything I raised regarding the above.
They posted the first lot of paperwork to my pension provider. This was lost. I spent 2 hours getting the correct email address to send it electronically and they STILL posted the duplicates. This cost an extra week in downtime.
Next thing was after receiving the review and sending back all the relevant documents, I then had to wait another week for an advisor to phone and discuss the documents. Why they need to do this is beyond me. I'd made the decision so this was another week wasted.
Next was the news that they were waiting for the funds to be released. On 10th June I received a letter from my provider stating that the pension had been released on 31st May. This was now the 10th of June. They say they never received any communication regarding this. So this delayed it by another 10 days.
Next was the statement that it would be another 3 - 5 days before the funds would be released into my account.
To cut a long story short, 25 days have been wasted because of the way this company operates. To add insult to injury they have charged me £4704 for the privilege. This company charges excessive amounts for a far from professional service. I don't know how they can sleep at night knowing they have done so little in order to basically plunder peoples pensions. At least you could see Dick Turpin taking your money.

Now I have been informed there is going to be another delay. I give up. If anyone reading this wants a stress free retirement don't try to take your tax free payment. Leave it in the bank/pension provider/pillow case/mattress. Just don't touch it.

Could provide a time better timeline on progress of review. Generic email not enough when trying to plan future decisions.

Excellent service very knowledgeable, reliable,and extremely helpful from start to finish they got my pension transfered to another without any trouble, they were very quick with everything i asked them for, everything was done by email or on the phone it was so easy to do they made me feel so welcome.

Advice and people gave been great...service just can take a long time to get moving.

A excellent experience with really understanding advisors

I am on the verge of dumping this company. They have a policy of never letting you speak to the same person twice as that gives the person on the phone the chance to say "I don't know why that happened". If you do get hold of a team leader and say I only want to hear from you. He will say "OK im on it!" you'll never hear from him again and he wont reply to your e-mails. I have been in touch with my pension providers including the one they say is delaying the process who can give me dates they replied to Portafina. I now have this in writing from them as well. I have been in touch with the FCA and I cannot disclose the correspondence here. I really liked this bunch to begin with but they are either incompetent or lazy.

I gave them 2 weeks last Monday and I have the feeling nothing will change. What a shame.
