Ordered my travel money online, paid in advance and got a valid order number. Went to collect at the allotted time, no money, no manager, none of the staff gave a monkeys and nothing I could do. Most... See more

Ordered Euros online as I thought this would be convenient to get delivered . Correct amount sent but all €50 notes. Obviously too lazy to count smaller notes. Not happy.

The service was awful. I ordered a large amount of euros, but when I arrived to collect them, I was told they only had €10 and €20 notes available. As a result, I ended up with a large number of smal... See more

Terrible service online, great service in store. Ordered Euros on line, never received a confirmation email. Took a screen shot of order if I had not it would have been impossible to collect.

AVOID THE POST OFFICE TRAVEL MONEY CARD

AVOID THE POST OFFICE TRAVEL MONEY CARD

Avoid this card nightmare
This card was suggested in the post office, unaware the staff had no understanding what they were “selling” they were in fact miss selling.
It was explained that with the card I could load currency to the card for no charge, and use it when travelling anywhere, with no charge or commission and when back in the UK get your money back with no charge.
Sounds great, so I agreed and got the card adding a large amount using my credit card (so it was protected) no the bank charge for that, but staff at the post office gave no warning so £12 cost so far.
Next day trying to activate the card was another fiasco, reading other reviews sounds like I am not alone.
Decide to travel to Spain, so returned to the post office to add more money, in cash this time, staff had no idea what they were doing, talked about commission but I had no idea they were reducing the amount I was adding to the card to cover commission!!
This happened again, only when I visited my local Post office was I asked how I wanted to pay the commission!!!
After paying another £7 commission I retuned and contacted The post office only to be told yes there is a commission charge to add funds. I was told it was free to add euros, but the Post office says you cannot now add euros, the whole system is as clear as mud.
The reading reviews from other users unable to use the card abroad and many other issues my advice is don’t get one, it is being miss sold and I will write to the FCA. The staff cannot sell these ecards as they don’t even understand what they are selling.
On the wall at the post office a large poster saying win £5000 with the card, asked the staff even that they could not tell you how to enter let alone win.
310 people gave the card one star are the post office reading reviews or even listening, clearly they do not care.

Absolute Rubbish

Absolute rubbish and Help and Support just don't seem to exist. I can't access my money at all! Once this is sorted out, I'm looking for an alternative.

I have used the old post office card…

I have used the old post office card for travelling abroad for about 10 years and have been very happy with it in this time.

I'm in Venice right now and still can't get new card to work. I tried to use it in England before I left, without success and long call to their help centre. It tells me I'm registered but won't let me access my account. I have worked in IT sincle 1985. I will never use a Post Office Travel Card again. It won't work when I need it! And I'm NOT bothering to call them tomorrow as my time in more important to me (I don't have mobile service tonight). And I'm not the only one in this position, so don't try that one Post Office!

New app useless

Original app (pale blue icon) worked superbly last year. New app - well I can honestly say it is the worst app I have ever used. It just does not work without deleting and reloading and signing in again every time I want to use it. It has taken many attempts over a week to actually load money into my travel card.
The images and icons on screen are too big for the phone screen and you cannot navigate between pages. The old app has to be brought back or I’m ditching the app and card.

The new Post Office Travel app is rubbish

The new Post Office Travel app is absolutely useless. It worked fine before they changed it but as soon as I downloaded the new app, I had problems. It said I had to validate my email address but that did not work, I spent hours trying to sort it out, then every time I tried to log into it, it just closed down. Customer services were useless, the first person I spoke to told me to uninstall the app

then switch off my phone then restart my phone and reinstall it - that didn't work then the second person I spoke to was no help at all, just wasted time getting me to verify my identity but not offering a solution. I am going abroad soon and needed this sorting out. I will now get another travel money card & will never use the Post Office Travel card & app again!

A new "Horizon" for the Post Office?

Several weeks ago my wife updated her Travel Money Card from her maiden to her married name. New card arrived and since then she has not been able to access the new app at all. This issue was reported to the Customer Service team who said the problem would be passed on the some other group and they could offer not date for resolution. We made a complaint online 3 weeks ago and we have heard nothing. We have a balance of ~1K Euro's on this card which we are going to request is refunded, but goodness knows when that will happen. I would recommend anybody having the same issue and who have a positive balance on their card re-claim it now. Very poor customer service.

UTTERLY SICK FED-UP OF MY PO TRAVEL CARD

Yet again, trying to use the PO Travel Card in New Zealand has been a complete fiasco. It is hardly ever approved and I end up using another card.
It usually works in a store but hardly ever works on line. The phone app is faulty and there is no 24 hour helpline. This company isn't up to the services it offers.

New App and online are rubbish

I have had a card since 2019 and operated with no problems. The recent change in the App has caused many problems and I am unable to log into the app with no explanation provided. In parallel tried to log in online through the laptop - after over an hour on the phone managed to get in. Next day same problems reappeared. Once I can access my money I will be withdrawing and moving elsewhere. The online service and the New App are useless.
The call centre staff are really friendly and try to be helpful but I feel that they are let down by very poor systems which have not been tested properly.

Total nonsense

Total nonsense, I wanted to buy €200, but it wasn't sold to me because I didn't have an ID. What a piece of dog poop!! In the Morriston store it was no problem at all.

Great service even when things went initially wrong -Thank You

The currency I ordered did not arrive when agreed. In fact it still hadn't turned up 2 days later. I appreciate the strikes may of had some impact. So I had to travel and get the currency at the airport. I wrote to Post Office who confirmed I would receive full refund and also offered to compensate me for the difference in the exchange rate between Post Office and airport. The process was easy and completed with the money in my account within 5 days. Things can go wrong but the good companies do something about it without any fuss. Well done Post Office Travel you have my loyalty.

UNSAFE - steals your money

DO NOT use @PostOffice Travel Card for your holiday money - bad advice means my son was charged $83 for taking out $160 and yesterday their system randomly changed the currency on his card from GBP to USD losing £10 in the process. It takes six weeks to look at a complaint AVOID

Disgraceful service

Disgraceful service
DD NOT USE. If you want your money fast
Supposed to be a 2 hr collection service
Was told it would be next day
Next day they said it hadn’t arrived and was been sent by special courier to local post office for next day collection
Went next day / they said it had been sent to a different post office by mistake / they had realised and forwarded it on
When asked where to
They said they didn’t know ?
Asked for my money back to get some currency from elsewhere and they said it would take 3 days to send the refund ( we now travelled next day )
I had to borrow some money and go to the local TUI shop to get some currency
Still waiting for refund from post office
No doubt there will be ZERO. Compensation for the disgraceful service and THEFT. Of our money on top of all the stress caused
Will never use post office again
