Correct me if I am wrong - insolvent?

So.... I have used Poundtoy for a couple of years, no issues, quick delivery, good prices.

This year, I ordered in November with plenty of time and it is still not with me mid December.

Standard replies to contact stating they are working hard and cannot provide updates which is shocking.

Now I did some digging and OML Trading who are Poundtoy at the same address etc appear to have entered insolvency discussions.... So Poundtoy, if I am wrong correct me, send my order in full, and correct me.

If I am right, then have the decency to tell people and let them make alternative arrangements and stop taking money for orders you have no intention of filling.

Avoid at all costs

The same as everybody else, I ordered on the 26th of October but still nothing. But I'm still receiving emails when they can't even fulfill many orders they have already. I can see many Children's Xmas's being ruined. I have now sent a new message asking for a refund. Hopefully will get that before next Christmas.

Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company. Can’t deliver within the time frame they advertise. Don’t tell you they are having distribution problems until after they get your money.
Still advertising Christmas on their website when they know full well they can’t even honour the deliveries they already have.
It’s great that you have the time to reply to the odd good review but ignore all the bad reviews about your awful company and still don’t prioritise orders! Terrible customer service!

Non delivery / no communication / no refund

Honestly if you are thinking of buying bits and bobs for kids stockings from here this year do no bother!
Ordered 21 November and am still waiting for my order to be picked- no where near even ready for delivery. Delivery estimate was 10 working days.
A generic system generated email reply instantly when I enquire as to where my order is saying they are doing their best but cant guarantee delivery. I have emailed asking for a refund and to cancel my order but am not getting a reply to that email - funny that! Take your money and not deliver the goods. Awful when it's children involved!!!

Abort abort!!

Abort abort!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! Awful! Just awful! I have emailed over 100000 times I keep getting the same generic email!!!! I placed an order for stocking fillers spent over £60. I would now like a refund, they keep sending the same email over & over. I never get a personal response!

Took my money, didn't deliver goods.

Same as many other complaints below. Ordered stocking fillers on November 7th 2022 worth about £38. I've got my bank receipt and an itemised PayPal receipt listing every item I bought to verify that this money left my account and went to their company. Poundtoy failed to send me an email receipt with a customer order - anyone else have this particular issue? And have failed to deliver my goods. They have failed to deal with me satisfactorily via email to help resolve this issue and have failed to give me a refund. I have shocking email correspondence from them regarding this. Now I shall be taking this up with my bank to report them and apply for chargeback for goods not received and I will also be reporting it on PayPal. Poundtoy have been thoroughly insulting!

Pay for your delivery people!!!

I placed an order in October for Halloween and there were issues and I had to cancel my order because they couldn't notify me when my order would arrive.

I thought by 17th of November any issues would be smoothed over by then as I have been ordering from poundtoy for years only issue i ever had was a couple smashed candles maybe a missing item.

I placed my order on the 17th November and these items were a replacement wooden Christmas eve box for my daughter who snapped lid off last year and items for stocking fillers amd wee bits for my nephews and now I'm a Christmas eve box short and doubt I'll be able to source the same one as my other 2 kids have on such short notice. Need to source new gifts for nephews now order total was just over £63 so lots to replace and I could be out of pocket doing so on short notice.

Anyway, as far as I am aware from reading the small print in the email poundtoy are only dispatching orders people have paid to be delivered higher class and if you've chosen 3-5 working days or free delivery option they will be left till last. So anyone ordering after you and paying for quick delivery will get the stock before anyone ordering via free delivery no matter how long ago before that parson was they are an utter disgrace. Taking money from people with no obligation to fulfil orders in time for Christmas when the orders are clearly Christmas related. There's a 10 working day time frame stated but no actual time frame in existence. Its just when they manage to get round to you. Which is probably never since people ordering after you get to jump the queue. They should remove the free delivery option as who the f@ck has time to read the small print wish I knew I'd have been happy to pay the extra delivery fee to actually recieve my items. Instead I'm joining others who are all up S#!+ creek without a paddle. Company needs closing down as couldn't run a bingo hall if they think this behaviour is acceptable.

Disgraceful

A month after ordering and still nothing apart from the ‘charming’ don’t-bother-contacting-us-again generic response. Meanwhile they’re still advertising Christmas toys and 5-7 day delivery. How about working on the orders you’ve already taken? If I’m lucky they’ll ignore the point completely and say I can have a refund, if I can get through to them. Truly should be ashamed of operating like this

I won't be ordering again

I placed an order with these for Xmas presents for my kids on 27th oct. I placed the order over 45 days ago and I've not received them. I've had no shipment email or anything and when I contact them asking when will my order get here I just get the same email sent to me over and over again. This is unacceptable 45 days after I placed my order I still haven't received my bits. I won't be ordering again as thus really is a joke and it's unacceptable.

Could you tell me where my order is

Edit 20th December - not received my order but did go on live chat and after about 20 minutes got through to a nice assistant who swiftly cancelled my order (from 21st nov) at my request and I got a refund straight away so for anyone thinking they won’t or can’t get their money that’s obviously your fault for not trying. You’ve got to remember they’re going to have thousands of customers emailing and trying to contact them etc it must be overwhelming for them too. Not a good time to be missing out on your own money understandable but they’re clearly not “ripping people off” on purpose as some of these reviews seem to think.
I’ve removed my first review simply because these guys are obviously in a horrible situation but I’ve received a refund and I know of others who have too - when they have been persistent. You can’t expect a response and refund after 2 mins trying or whatever not with any company let alone one who’s not in the best situation. So going to give them 5* because of this. They’ve refunded me not “ripped me off” as gutted as I am that I didn’t receive the order. Have a bit of compassion people, it is Christmas after all.

I placed an order for two of my sons…

I placed an order for two of my sons stockings as we have done previous years and never been disappointed. Unfortunately on this occasion we never received our order, and as we are away at Christmas we weren’t in a position to wait and see if it arrived! Communication from the company has been dire, automated responses and unable to use functions to contact them! Through sheer perseverance by email and using the online chat, we have been issued a refund for our order! Log into your account on the online chat and I selected report an issue, it took two days but the chat stayed active as long as I didn’t shut the page down on my iPad!

It is a poor show that a company is willing to take money from customers at a difficult time of year, during a cost of living crisis when money is tight for everyone, and then provide no solid communication re the status of peoples orders but continue to tout for more business! A simple update on the website would have sufficed.

I would advise anyone with outstanding orders to look up your rights, as I believe they are in breach of the consumer rights act and also raise a concern with trading standards, I have despite being fortunate to receive a refund!

Disgraceful!!!

Disgraceful! I ordered at the start of November, no update on when my order will be sent, can’t speak to anyone at the company and they think their customers should accept a statement of they’re having distribution issues but we will get our order when we get it.
Terrible company, terrible service and disgusting approach to being overwhelmed and unable to deal with the demand. Never will I order from here again.

DO NOT ORDER

Does not send orders but takes your money! Ordered the beginning of October and had weeks of unfulfilled promises of relieving order the next week, but now over 10 weeks later still no order and will not be posted! DO NOT USE!

Disgusting

Disgusting! I’ve been waiting 3 months for my order. I’m getting stupid automated emails back. Yer they are still sending out discount emails. I think you need to be sending out orders before receiving anymore. I will never use these again! Who knows if your when I will receive my order. All Christmas presents.

DISGUSTING SERVICE

The level of customer service from this company has dropped so much, it does not seem to exist any more. Placed and paid for an order on 27 November paid for delivery in 3 to 5 days still waiting for my goods to arrive, all the company does is send automated emails to my queries. But I am still receiving emails to buy more goods.
