Lovely pans and free from nickel to…

Lovely pans and free from nickel to which I have an allergy, so super pleased with them. They’re heavy enough without being too heavy but they feel solid and well made. Beautiful colour as well and great that they’re eco-friendly.

Superb: 4 x poacher pan

I bought a 4 x poacher pan for my partner, who is helping to care for his elderly parents. The glass lid makes is easy to see how the eggs are cooking. As his parents have a 4 x slot toaster, the toast can be popped on the plates simultaneously, then the eggs are placed on top of the toast simultaneously too. So 4 x servings, all piping hot. Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods you can eat & are easy to digest. I chose Prestige because my beautiful late Mum, who was an outstanding cook, had Prestige pans & utensils. I now use them. So the products are 60+ years old & still look new. Also a respected British brand, so buying from Prestige is helping to prop up the British economy. My partner was thrilled with his gift.

SMART PLUS 6L/57050 Pressure Cooker

Ordered a number of replacement parts for one of my Prestige pressure cookers. Parts arrived a couple of days later.
Just stripped down cooker lid, cleaned it and replaced the handle annd all the safety devices.

Warning to people who do this with an older model, the handle has been modified slightly so you should buy all the safety devices and parts plus new seal as mixing old and new is not clever or advisable. Saved an older model cooker for a modest outlay of £32.69 including post.

My only negative comment is there were no re assembly instructions in packaging.

I am a design engineer and build mechanical equipment. But some people may not be quite so experienced.

I think this would be a good idea for Prestige to include a leaflet especially when the design has had some small but positive improvements.

Overall very pleased.

Defective pans and unresponsive customer service

I bought a set of pans which are defective. The non-stick is faulty on them. This has been admitted by the company. The handle on the pan lid is also loose. It is appalling quality for expensive pans.

In trying to reach them, I contacted their WhatsApp, as posted on their website. No response. Their Facebook Messenger was a chatbot which didn’t understand what I was saying.

I resorted to email. I actually got a reply, where they admitted the non-stick appears to be defective. They asked for pictures for the bottom of the pans.

I replied with the pictures over a week and a half ago and haven’t heard anything since. I have chased them twice but had no response.

I held off writing a review in the hope that they would resolve the issue.

Writing this now in the hope they see it and actually respond to my email and give me a refund as requested.

It doesn’t help that I don’t understand the structure of the company. Is it Prestige, Meyer or Circulon?

All Good

Ordering process at first was asking for code from my mobile, which never came. After a week was able to proceed using email connection. Was able to select spares for pressure cookers, no problem there.

Genuine pare parts

Buying spare parts for a pressure cooker, I wanted to be sure they were genuine. So it is great they can be purchased direct from the manufacturer. All the parts needed were in stock, dispatched and delivered promptly. I think they were good value. My only issue was with fitting the secondary safety device - I had to find someone with much stronger fingers to install it and perhaps it could have been designed better.

Great Looking Pan!

Purchased our first “Prestige” pans back in 1990, they are still in fantastic condition today, so it was logical to purchase from them again as they represent great value for money…

Great Eco friendly pans

Ordered a lovely set of pans and arrived quickly. They are excellent quality. Only ordered new ones because I have an induction hob and my previous pans which were also Prestige, which I had had for 38 years , were not compatible.

Nice pans, interior would be better polished, customer service good via phone

The ordering process was fine and delivery quick. The made to last pans are good quality as expected. Unfortunately there was an issue with the non stick coating on frying pan. I raised a support ticket and the process was a bit slow with information already supplied being requested again

In the end I phoned support and got a successful resolution and a replacement pan was sent out quickly, even being exchanged for a different type. So the phone support was good but the online could be quicker.

The pans themselves seem to be good quality..there is already some internal staining from the water . Apparently this is normal from the mineral deposits in water. It's strange though as an older Prestige pan we have, doesn't have this staining..it may be because it has a polished internal surface whereas the new made to last pans have a matte finish internally. This is slightly disappointing but hopefully won't affect the pans too much but time will tell. I'd prefer the interior to be polished stainless to avoid this, rather than matte. But I think they are quality pans.
