We had a great tour with Peter all over Wales for 8 days. He took us anywhere we wanted to go and was an excellent historian. He was always timely and driving was great. His passion for history made the tour both educational and enjoyable.

We were so fortunate to have had a fascinating tour led by a great and deeply knowledgeable guide/driver. The level or organization and itinerary were ideal. We had great weather, food and valuable time with our compassionate guide.

I highly recommend Private Tours England! Emma helped me to create the itinerary which included various stops throughout the Cotswolds. Dean was a wonderful driver and tour guide! His offered creative suggestions to help make the afternoon with my daughter fun and enjoyable. He knew exactly where to take us for the perfect Instagram pictures, told hilarious stories while giving us a history lesson of England and kept us entertained throughout the trip. Thank you for a seamless afternoon! I will most definitely tell all my friends to book with PTE.

Fantastic time exploring the world outside of London. Our guide Dean was terrific. Knowledgeable, personable and quickly understood our interests. He recommended sites to see that added to our understanding of history and the areas we travelled to. The planning group at Private Tours England was very responsive and included everything we wanted to see. The one observation was that we did a bit a backtracking when travelling between towns which took up time and didn’t add to the experience. On the whole it was a wonderful trip and we are most appreciative.

Private Tours England did a great job putting together a memorable itinerary and coordinated details including all ticket purchases and transport. Special note of commendation for our driver-guide who added tremendously to the enjoyment of our trip. He was professional, personable, proficient and knowledgeable. Fantastic Stonehenge and Cotswold day with Shane. He was a great driver and showed us fun things along the way. We extended the tour 2 hours. We loved it and highly recommend!

We had an absolutely fantastic trip with PTE. From start to finish, the service was exceptional, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore the UK. We were especially delighted to see Shane as our driver on the last day—it was the perfect way to end our journey.

Despite a few issues in Scotland, PTE went above and beyond in their response, offering generous compensation when we only expected reimbursement for a couple of small items. We truly appreciate their thoughtfulness. The group had a wonderful day with access to electric carts, great weather, and lots of memories. Meanwhile, Mary and I had an incredible time visiting Stirling Castle, seeing the Kelpies, and soaking in the beauty of the Highlands.

The accommodations in York and Stratford were luxurious, and the train ride back to London was a highlight in itself. Overall, we are so glad we chose PTE. Laura and the entire team provided us with the best tour possible, perfectly tailored to our schedule. We highly recommend them for anyone looking to have a seamless and memorable experience in the UK. Thank you, PTE!

What we loved was that we didn't have to think about anything. From the moment we landed in London until the day we left, Mason handled everything from driving us around, taking care of all the entry tickets and non-stop information about places that we were seeing, which allowed us to simply relax and enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend Mason and Mark.

Such a lovely experience from booking to going to Highgrove with Mason McQueen to our return trip! If you want a luxury tour outside of London I highly recommend this company! They are fantastic. We went to Highgrove and we learned so much from our guide!

Dean was the greatest! Two midwest girls were treated to an English VIP experience. He kept us safe and took us all around the country. We even got to spend his birthday travelling with him and it is one he will never forget (ask him about his lovely birthday).

Dean was amazing!!! He was very knowledgeable of all the places we went to. He had a great understanding of the city and got us to where we needed to go in a timely fashion. He was also very bending of our schedule. The first day we fell asleep and he waited for us the whole time. I felt awful about that. I can’t say enough great things about our trip to London and Deans guidance. Thanks for everything.

My expert historian and driver, Peter was extraordinarily knowledgeable as well as commendably kind and patient. I am beyond delighted with his service. I'm very nerdy and keenly interested in UK history. I tossed questions all day long to Peter at 3 locations, The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and Hampton Court, and I swear there was nothing he didn't know. Additionally, I have some mobility issues and Peter was there by my side to assist each step of the way. I got to see ALL of the 'must sees' on my list, and a great deal more. Peter was also patient with my slow pace AND with my shopping. Highly Recommended! (He's a history professor!)

I booked a tour to Canterbury and to Dover for my husband and I. Unfortunately my husband couldn’t make it was he was sick.
Shane was the best and just created a wonderful day for myself. I know that is harder with one and I really appreciated the extra history and things he told me. I give him a 10 stars out of 5 star review.

Please give a personal thank you to our driver, Graham Winter. It was a wonderful day traveling to Suffolk. We returned to Western North Carolina with lots of damage from Hurricane Helene. My families are all safe in their homes with lots of clean up work to do!

The tour company was very responsive from the first contact. They provided good details on what to expect. The driver/guide was very knowledgeable and attentive. Peter was professional but also personable. His insights enhanced the overall experience at each venue.

Our 5 day, 4 night tour was designed by PTE to visit some of the most picturesque, charming villages and towns in the Cotswolds. Our driver and tour guide, Dean, was informative, timely, and accommodating. The Mercedes vehicle was perfect and spacious for our group of four. It was a wonderful experience!

I was very pleased with this company. They planned an 8 day tour of southern England with a private driver (Kyri) for us. Some of our stops were off the beaten path. They planned the perfect trip that allowed us to go to all the places we wanted. I recommend this company and you will not be disappointed if you choose them. The trip was "seamless." We contacted them once during the tour for a minor problem and they responded immediately and took care of the problem. I was impressed.
We really enjoyed our driver, Kyri. He is such a pleasant and enthusiastic person. He is friendly, personable, and fun. He is an excellent driver. He was always on time. He told fun stories and imparted a lot of information about English culture. He generated great ideas for things to do and places to eat when needed. He took our interests into account. He is very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the different varieties of Cadburies he got us to eat in the car. It made travelling even more fun! He is a gem!
