Nothing says evil, greedy capitalism like taking advantqge of hurricane helene victims. I survived withiut filing any claim only for progressive to attempt to extort me by 30%. My car is worth 1000 but my prrmoum is now 700, up from 400.

I have been a Processive customer for about1.5 years,
with no claims. I recently added another vehicle to my policy. The addition went smoothly and the agent was very helpful in getting me the best rate. I was just checking out the Progressive reviews and I was very surprised and disappointed at the number of one star ratings and of all the problems when it came to filing a claim!!! I can only hope that in the event of an accident I won't have the same experience!! Why doesn't Progressive post any response to each of these negative reviews ?

I was hit by a commercial vehicle that totaled my car and pushed me into another vehicle in front of mine. The vehicle in front a SUZUKI SUV had nothing but a scratch and no one injured. I was injured and not at fault yet, Progressive claims to this day 4+ Months later that they need to contact the driver in front of me, when I was able to contact them and find them with no problem. They said they are liable and cannot pay me for my vehicle, in the State of Florida after suffering 4 hurricanes. I asked for rental help, better policy help bundled with rentals insurance and more. I called dozens of times asking for this assistance while experiencing 4-6 hurricanes between June and October getting from my adjuster an irritated response "Hi Erin, just following up on the claim. It has been well over 2 weeks. Has your legal team looked over everything?

We continued our attempts and have not received a response. I submitted the request to begin legal filings. As with any process, it can take a significant amount of time before we hear a response. We’ll notify you when we can address your damages.

Well I was hit in behind on Aug 3,2024 by a woman in a rental Turo car. It was directly in my car rear ended. The ford fusion she was driving whole grill and front bumper was. Totally destroyed from the impact and my rear bumper and taillight on my vehicle was damaged. I was already out of work for back Engery my wife is out now for her knee that was hurt from this incident. They want money but don’t want to pay out when it comes time. My son had them full coverage on a service truck. They dropped the full coverage with out notifications. So when he got into accident when a lady who hit him head on in the truck. Also had Progressive and had basic coverage . They tell him you don’t have full coverage how it that and it’s not paid for. He has a truck wrecked making payments that he can’t use . Been having to rent a truck at $600 a week to do his work. They put out all these commercials say save and bundle. They are not worth getting or being in an accident with someone who they say they cover. I would say don’t get them find other providers. Because either way you will get messed over. Just think your house,car, boat, motorcycle. Yeah I can only imagine how that will turn out. Like I said I’m out work my wife is out until doctor release. And that will be after physical therapy for four weeks. Which she’s been out four now with no pay. So my attorney says that there adjuster says no pain for us and doesn’t want to fix my car. The company just wants your money not to cover anything when you or the other person.
Constantly increasing premiums for no reason
We joined because they offered low rates. But then, every 6 months at renewal, they kept increasing the rates. We are good drivers, no accidents, no tickets, yet our premiums keep increasing every 6 months. When I ask them about it, they say it has to do with "other factors," which basically translates to: "we want to charge you more and hoped you wouldn't notice so we made up a bunch of stuff." Yeah... done with these clowns. So dishonest.

Danie provided a great customer experience while filing a claim. Although it was a total loss, she helped me navigate through the claims process for my Auto coverage since day one.

Useless roadside assistance. Useless everything. Would be zero stars if possible. Going back to State Farm. Only switched because we moved to DC. Thankfully we have recently found agents now in MD.

I had auto and homeowner's insurance for 4 years and not one claim. They dropped my homeowner's insurance saying I was in a "high fire risk zone". This confused me as when I got my insurance, they assessed my zone as "low fire risk". When I asked them why they had conflicting assessments they responded with......"I don't know". Well, that's Progressive in a nutshell. The company of confusion and unpredictability.

Progressive defines corporate greed. Have had Progressive for years with multiple accounts (auto, home, umbrella) and never filed a claim. Recently bought a 15-year-old house. Progressive refused to insure it because...wait for it...the roof was 15 years old and they didn't like the plumbing that 60% of all new construction uses. Dropped all my insurance with them and went with another company. Their primary interest is protecting their bottom line. They don't care about you.

This has been the worst customer service I have ever had with an insurance company. They go back and forth with my monthly payment and have taken over a month to review a document that them NOT reviewing, has made my payment go up $125.00. The rep I have been dealing with is impatient and non informative. I would never recommend Progressive to anyone.
TRANSPARENCY DOESN'T LIVE AT PROGRESSIVE
I've paid my premiums without interruption, have had no claims, no tickets and conscientiously drive to avoid risk of harm to myself and others. I even let these people put a tether on my car a couple of years ago to try and get a better rate. Today I learned my rate went up several hundred dollars and I've done nothing different. When looking at my policy, there's no side-by-side comparison I have access to help me figure it out. Customer service said due to supply chain, area conditions, pies falling from the clouds they can just arbitrarily up my rate AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE TRANPARENT ABOUT WHAT FEES/BY HOW MUCH or WHERE THEY WERE IMPACTED. THEY ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO TELL ME I'M GOING TO HAVE TO PAY MORE. INSURANCE IS WORSE THAN ANY OTHER PROFESSION. IT'S ZERO LOSS - THEIR RISK ANALYSTS MAKE SURE OF THAT - AND ALL PROFIT FOR THEM. THERE's NO WAY I SHOULD BE PAYING ALMOST $3,000 A YEAR FOR A CAR THAT I WON'T BE ABLE TO SELL FOR THAT MUCH IN 3 YEARS. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE STATE OF ETHICS WITHIN SOME INDUSTRIES OF BUSINSESS. My new rate, if I don't find better this week, will be just shy of $100 less than my car note. It's a shame and I'm even afraid to make a claim, should I need one, because of the abuse of power businesses like this deal in...afraid to make a claim for fear I'll pay more, even though I pay all year, every year and have likely bought a late model car with all the bells and whistles with as much as I've paid over the years, and nothing to show for it, not even peace of mind at this point. My stress levels are higher with this insurance agreement, not less, so I'm at greater risk of negative impact to my health and $3,000 (every six months) is abusive when I've done nothing personally to incur that but be responsible. Poor, poor business.

Another Legal Racketeering Insurance Company
On 4/19/24 I was in the process of purchasing a car and I called a local independent insurance broker for insurance quotes. After providing my information to the agent, I received an email stating that Progressive was my best option, unfortunately, there was an outstanding balance on a Progressive policy of $455.60 that had to be paid before we could set up a new policy.
I immediately called the agent and explained I never had a policy with Progressive Insurance and did not owe a balance to any insurance company on any policy. She attempted to contact Progressive to find out where they had obtained this information, but Progressive refused to tell her. So, she emailed me a screenshot of the error message she received when the quote came back to her and provided a number to call Progressive.
I called Progressive, and after dealing with their auto attendant for five minutes I spoke to James. I explained my situation, he connected me to Sondra in the policy department. So, I explained again to Sondra my situation. She asked me if someone had taken out a policy using my information. I said, I have no idea, how would I know if they did? I could hear in her voice she was clueless as to how to deal with my problem. She said I am looking, I said I have the policy number in question. After providing her with the policy number, she asked for my date of birth. Then, she asked, were you married and I said, at one time I was. I asked her who is listed on the policy and she gave the names of Stacy and Chasidy with my last name. I said, my wife passed away five years ago and her name was neither of those. I said, you have me mixed up with someone else and this needs to be corrected today because I need to purchase this car, and this is prohibiting me from getting insurance. She said, I would need to call, I interrupted her and I said, why do I need to call and she said, what do you mean? I said, why can't you call and get this resolved, why is it my responsibility? She said I would need to call the fraud division and report someone used my information to take out this policy. So, I immediately called at 4:34 pm EST and this office was closed. The office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 am - 4:30 pm.
Sondra did not ask me for my full legal name, SSN, address, driver's license number, etc. She asked for only my name and date of birth and these two factors alone determined this policy belonged to me and I am liable and responsible for taking care of this matter. I have no doubt there are other people with my same name and date of birth, so how is can it be possible this came up as belonging to me without confirming any of my additional identification information?
This is impacting my ability to purchase this car that I am in great need of purchasing. I will be contacting attorneys on Monday to pursue legal action against Progressive and all parties involved for providing damaging, defamatory, and false information about me to third parties, and much more. You did nothing today to resolve my issue only to keep sending me to department to department and giving me the runaround.

He is a 70+ veteran on a fixed disabled retirement income and just lost his wife of 50+ years. This did not make him a worse driver! Progressive just added insult to injury to him for no reason. Progressive declared it will only cover 60 percent of the repair of my car following a parking lot incident in which I was hit by another car backing into me while I was stopped and could not possibly have avoided impact and in which the impacting vehicle could not be seen in motion or having back-up lights on before in any mirror or rear-view camera. Unscrupulous practices to avoid payment.

Worst insurance company they tell you their is coverage charge for coverage and then file a claim and they go oops we never added that coverage to you and it will take days to get to anyone that can help you. Better off with no insurance then progressive

My son is in the military therefore his vehicle is just sitting in storage. So I called to lower his coverage while the vehicle is just sitting for months. and this is the response I received. Thank you for being a valued customer since 2023! Currently we do not have the option to reduce to comprehensive only coverage for your state. Try your best to shop around as much as you can to avoid these company's
