I cannot recommend Promenade Music highly enough. Exceptional service from musicians who really know what they're talking about and genuinely care about not just meeting their customers' needs and expectations, but routinely exceeding them. Pay them a visit - you won't be disappointed!

I bought a pedal steel guitar from here which is a really niche instrument, especially in this country, so I was extremely surprised when the person who answered by phone call at promenade music was actually someone who was actually a player and was passionate about the instrument (Gary). I can only comment on this one department but I know promenade sells all types of instruments imaginable so I can only assume the people working in the other departments also have the same knowledge and passion for their instruments as well - As a result, the consumer experience was useful and informative, and most importantly genuine.
The shipping from here is really good value, im not sure if that just because I bought a high value item but I got next day delivery for £2.50. (I didn't actually get it next day because i missed the delivery but can't really blame anyone but myself for that).
I also got some freebies thrown in with my order, such as a bar and a student book, genuinely helpful stuff. Gary also told me I could call back for any advice or support in future regarding playing and tips - which I believe to be a genuine offer, as the overall vibe of the place is the passion for music first and business second.

The website could use some updating for a visual perspective, but other than that theres nothing really to criticise. I will be shopping here again in future for supplementary items.

I had read reviews about the customer service at Promenade Music and wasn't disappointed. Parcel Force had a problem finding my house and missed me for 2 days. I spoke to Richard who couldn't have been more helpful and offered a full refund if I didn't receive it or if it was damaged. Finally my Kiwaya ukulele found me and all was well. Thank you Richard I would definitely recommend Promenade and would have put 5 stars but for Parcel Force. My Uke is gorgeous.

I was looking everywhere for a particular acoustic guitar. All over Europe in fact, but on the internet of course. Then, after almost giving up, I fould this absolute Aladdin's Cave for musicians. And they had my guitar. I was elated. And it had a discount!!!!!! WOW.
I ordered & paid on Thursday at around 11pm. I had the guitar in my hands on Monday morning. I bought it at 11pm on that Thursday evening. Within 12 hours it was with the courier. How great is that? Superb in my opinion. Free express delivery too.
I'd like to say what a fantastic shop Promenade Music is. I'd never heard of them until last Thursday, & from now on I will always look on their website first.
Although I didn't speak with them, I know that they really care about their clients, just by reading other reviews. And you can actually talk to them by telephone which is rare today.
If you're after something special, give Promenade Music a call, because like I stated, it really is an Aladdin's Cave, a fantastic shop for your musical needs.
One last thing. I'm 55, I've been playing guitar for 43 years, so I know a good shop when I see one.

Promenade Music has what major online music shops lack: real people you can talk to and that genuinely care about music, their products and their customers. And on top of it, their prices are super competitive. This kind of business has a lot of value in our culture as musicians, and that is another very good reason to support this local gem.

Wow! Once again the mail order shopping experience at Promenade Music has been faultless and a very enjoyable experience. Thank you once again to Gary for providing a GFI pedal steel guitar and the gifts that came with it. The book is a wonderful touch, and will be very helpful. I am enjoying my steel guitar and look forward to doing business with your shop again in the near future.

Bought a Vera oo maestro cedar koa guitar from them, used with minor cosmetic blemish they pointed out but sounds amazing. Super friendly knowledgeable staff. Not pressured to buy. Honest and direct answers to all my questions. Could not have been any more helpful. A pleasurable experience. Would highly recommend them.

Brilliant service start to finish! I was looking to buy my first electric drum kit and after doing some research online I found it to be a bit of a minefield so thought I’d would be easier to speak to someone to get their input instead. I can’t remember the name of the gent who served me but he was so full of information about all the kits they stocked and answered all of my question. He helped me find something perfectly in my budget and offered loads of great tips and tricks of how to get the best out of my kit. The customer service was top notch and he threw in a freebie which was super kind ! I’ve set up my kit on the same day and got playing straight away ! Thanks so much for your help and expertise, online shopping has its perks but there’s nothing better than being able to speak to the experts when you’re splurging a bit of money, with the reassurance that you’re buying something of great quality. Just been in to buy a tuner/metronome and found the staff very knowledgeable and helpful and recommended a separate clip on tuner and a separate metronome both by Snark. Very happy as always here

I dropped by today with my wife-the reception and service we received was excellent. My wife, who’s not into guitars was equally impressed. Although I’m not from the area, I plan to order a guitar from them in the near future as the experience simply browsing the shop filled me with confidence about their passion, knowledge and commitment to customer service 🙂🎸

Had an issue trying to purchase a guitar amplifier on line at Promenade Music. This turned out to be a problem with my computer. So I phoned the store, and salesman Benny sorted out an alternative purchase method (my debit card wasn't working either !), and made sure the item was reserved and ready for dispatch when my bank transfer completed the following morning. This is good old fashioned 'service' and great customer care. I will use this shop again and have no hesitation in recommending it's great website and comprehensive stock choice. They'll even talk to you over the phone !

I wanted to order a piano model that was in high demand and limited supply, meaning long waiting times: I live in Greater London and although there are various local showrooms, I chose to order from Promenade despite located as far away from my home as is possible to be in England speaks for itself ! The proprietor was always available to talk to, kept me up to date and when the piano arrived in the UK, delivered quickly and conveniently.

I can't fault this business.
From the very first call to the store, they have been nothing but helpful and provided a level of customer care that is, in this day and age, very rare.
I am also extremely appreciative of the efforts they have just gone through to deliver my purchase... many many thanks.

Amazing service with free next day delivery! It’s always stressful ordering cymbals incase something happens in transit but these were very securely packaged and arrived with no issue at all. Very fast to reply to messages with excellent customer service and the best price around for what I ordered. 5 stars... cannot recommend these guys enough! Thanks

Stumbled across this shop by ebay accident whilst searching for a particular acoustic bass I was after.

Wow, what a find!

I wanted to speak to a "human" for such an important purchase in these click and collect times.

Happened to get through to Gary who not only handled my transaction, but was the one who also checked and set the instrument up to my requirements before dispatching it in bomb proof packaging.

He's a bass player too (and a runner!) so we hit it off.

They're more than happy to answer any post purchase queries too. And I had a few.... sorry Gary.

We ordered a Roland electric piano online and were impressed by the price. The shop contacted us the next day to confirm delivery details and then again to advise when dispatched. Overall friendly people, good price and prompt delivery. Would definitely use them again!

I recently contacted Promenade Music as I was looking to rekindle my interest in violin, and had decided to purchase an electric one to celebrate my 50th birthday. I spoke with David at length several times, and the entire experience was excellent. Thank you for being so informative, and patient with my umpteen questions! They even tried various other pieces of equipment with the instrument, to ensure compatibility for the accessories I needed. Everything came carefully packaged, in less than 24 hours. David personally drove it to Royal Mail to ensure it came in time. Prices highly competitive and they even threw in a basic violin case to ensure safe transit. Highly recommended and I will certainly be using them again.

I have just purchased a guitar from Promenade Music via telephone and feel compelled to present a review. David and Gary spent a great deal of time discussing the purchase, and everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly, helpful, and came across as very experienced. The guitar arrived on time, in perfect condition, and I am delighted with the whole experience, including the guitar itself, which to put into context, is not a top of the range product! I will definitely use Promenade Music for my next purchase. My only slight regret was not to be able to chat to these guys in person, but intend to call in next time I'm in the area.
