I recently bought a bat from Prophecy Cricket and it has been absolutely brilliant. The pickup is fantastic, and the quality is top notch. Highly recommend them!

Having seen a couple of negative reviews I was reluctant to take the plunge however the discount offered though the sponsorship schemes made it appealing.

I ordered the full works and I have to say on first receiving everything I was disappointed, wrongly as it turns out. The softs just felt a bit cheap when compared with my existing kit and the bat had a lot of blemishes for a 'pro' grade. I spoke with Prophecy and they were excellent, working out a deal to suit us both.
Having now used the kit for a couple of months I feel able to write a review that I hope will help others make the right choice on what is a significant expense for most.

Pads and Gloves - Initially felt and looked a bit below top quality but I have to say they wear well, the pads are light and flexible whilst protective and the gloves are extremely comfortable. Value for money they are excellent, especially when compared to other companies £140+ pads.

Bag - I went with the larger bag and it is massive, very well thought out design, hasn't aged that well as the outer material is fairly thin and my spikes have made holes in the shoes compartment already.

Helmet - Comfortable and fairly light, comes with stem guard which adds to its value.

Bat - I went with the Mythic Pro, like I said initially I was disappointed, I'm a bat geek and collector (currently have 9) and I think in hindsight I put too much into the Pro grade labelling, this has a few blemishes on the face and the stickers/grip appeared lazily applied. Pro grade bats are £1000, this one isn't so there's your context. So practically speaking is it good value, god yes!. It took me a couple of games to have the confidence to ditch my no.1 bat but I'm so glad I did, the ping off the Mythic is fantastic!. It picks up nicely and goes well off the full face of the bat, longevity will be seen as we go but it has held up well so far.

If you've made it this far, well done!. In summary I suppose I can answer two questions.
1 - Is it top of the range kit
A - No, it isn't BUT it isn't far off
2 - Is it value for money
A - Yes , absolutely. At the sponsorship/ebay prices it is exceptional value for money and comes with very responsive and attentive customer service.

Very disappointed with Prophacy Cricket. I bought a bat for around 2000 kr and after only 4 matches plus light indoor practice with a soft/light ball, the bat completely split (into two pieces) and became unusable in less than a year.
I contacted customer service with photos, expecting some support, but they refused to replace, repair, or refund it and only replied that the warranty period was over. A bat at this price should last much longer with such limited use.
Really poor experience with both the product quality and customer service.
