The web site and telephone answering…

The web site and telephone answering system for PSA are hopeless. They both have limited options and have no ability to ask a question that is not covered by their very limited standard Q&As. This is extremely frustrating.

Terrible Service and Care

Car was inspected by a 3rd party company sent from PSA finance, employee admitted to lack of experience and therefore quoted my car at least £1000 out. PSA finance advise that I just pay the £2800 added and they will refund in 8-10 weeks. Staff are rude and do not seem interested in dealing with complaints, also implied they I cannot afford to pay what is being asked hence why I am complaining. I have never been so appalled by a service as I am today, please avoid at all costs!

Please stay clear of this company

NO HUMANITY. MADE MY ANXIETY AND OCD WORSE FROM FALSE ACCUSATIONS AND INCORRECT ADVICE. Please stay clear of this company.

I was recently in a car accident where my car was written off. I was called up by direct line (who work with PSA insurance) ,off a personal mobile number I am sure these calls are legally required to be recorded? Anyway I spoke to Ian on the phone who told me that I am not entitled to the market value of my car which I had on PCP. He incorrectly told me that my car is a lease, even though my statements say Hire Purchase agreement, he told me that I would only get the finance paid off which was a lot less than the value of the car. Despite me saying that i have been told I have equity in the car he was adamant that I did not. When I disputed this with him, he accused me of trying to commit insurance fraud and quite bluntly said they will not pay me to crash my car. He did not care at all about the anxiety and physical injuries I received from the accident. As someone who suffers from extreme OCD and anxiety the next few days were a huge struggle for me. The calls in between he confirmed the same and accused me a second time of insurance fraud… I was so shaken up after the accident and this on top made me so much worse. Eventually, he told me that I will get the market value for my car “whether or not he feels it is legally or morally right”. But told me I have no need to call my gap insurance as I have no need. After calling my gap cover they told me that I should definitely use them and that I do have a claim. Again I feel this was Ian trying to get me to settle on whatever he feels is right, (off record)!!
When I chased my claim with PSA insurance, they told me that Ian the claim engineer I believe they called him, failed to send them my report which he should have done right after he last called me. Again trying to cause me more distress because he did not understand the product he was employed to insure. This whole incident has left me anxious and let down by the people who should have been looking out for me.
I can understand why Peugeot and Direct Line have such bad reviews… and I definitely understand why Uk Insurance Ltd do not have a trust pilot, or at least one I can find!

GO TO THE OMBUDSMAN!!!!

If you believe PSA have charged you incorrectly at the end of a lease take it to the Financial Ombudsman. We got charged incorrectly, PSA were not interested at all in making it right . After frustrating phone calls and going nowhere we got in touch with the Ombudsman. You need to put your side of the story over and send over any correspondence that helps your case. They agreed with us and PSA had to pay us back. Got no ‘sorry’ from PSA, just the money appearing in our bank. I urge everyone to do the same if they are in the same boat, companies like this need to be held to account and not get away with this !

Duplicated settlement figure

I paid the settlement figure of £16k by cheque and PSA direct debited the same amount so I have paid twice. PSA Customer Services impossible to get hold of and repeated emails ignored. Finally got to speak to someone by using the Peugeot dealer number and the guy I spoke to would not arrange repayment and told me I had to sort it out through my bank. Unbelievably incompetent and uncaring company.

PSA Finance are quite nasty to deal with

I have leased several cars over the years with no issues but PSA finance are quite nasty to deal with. No nice welcoming letter, all correspondence is very threatening and legalistic - full of warnings of penalties at every stage. They collected my 3 year old Peugeot 3008 at the end of the lease which was in mint condition. Two guys crawled all over it for 30 mins but could find nothing wrong. The car was taken away and 2 months later I am invoiced for £200, no explanation just a demand for £200. I have phoned them 3 times each call taking 20 minutes to connect. Customer Services are then unable to put me through to the Returns Department. The direct number I am given to phone just diverts back to customer services anyway. Customer Services emailed Returns and copied me in, but Returns just ignore the email. The 3008 was 6,000 below the contract mileage and they want to extort £200 from me with no explanation when my car is worth way more than the end of lease price. I will never lease through PSA again.
6 weeks later after several phone calls and an email PSA called me to say their mistake, they thought the Service History was incomplete but it was not. Good job I challenged them to justify the £200 payment. I will never use them again.

JOKERS JOKERS JOKERS

Lying, deceitfully and as for their customer service they are disgraceful. My partner had her lease car picked up with all the relevant documents in the boot of the car. They then tried to charge for missing documents then they said bits of the service history was missing, hang on a minute they said the documents were missing!! They then sent it to two different bailiffs to which it was sent back to them as the bailiffs were in agreement with us. Now it is affecting my partners credit score and we are forced to pay an extra 150 on top of what we agree with that is not warranted.

Stay well clear of these absolute cowboys!!!

DO NOT USE PSA FINANCE !!!!!!

BE WARNED !!!!!!
When the vehicle we had leased was due for collection the Service Record Book was at an employees home address. The employee went home and brought the Service Record Book back with him. By the time he arrived back the person collecting the vehicle had left, so I drove the Manheim Car Auctions in Saltash, Cornwall. Due to Covid restrictions I was not allowed to enter the offices, so I handed the Service Record Book to the Security Guard who said that he would take it to the office immediately.
PSA Finance are unjustifiably charging £625 because the Service Record Book was not with the vehicle when they collected it.
No wonder PSA Finance have an 89% BAD RATING.
WHAT DO THEY SAY?
They say I will have to make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman, as they refuse to cancel the ridiculously high and unreasonable charge.
DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE !!!
BE WARNED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awful in every way

Hands down the worst customer service have ever experienced. Different information from different people, hours spent trying to get through to them, a complete lack of understanding and compassion. Continuous errors with their maintenance service, happy to take your money and then not deliver on service. Avoid at all costs and DO NOT lease a Peugeot as this is the company they use

PSA Please Source Another Loan company

I have recently purchased a new car through a local dealer (they were brilliant). My first payment with PSA wasn't taken despite me emailing them twice no response just a case number, I contacted the salesman at the dealership who tried to contact PSA again no luck. I ended up calling PSA who told me they didn't set up the direct debit in time and I should have received an email yes I did 2 mins into the phone call. I have now received a letter telling me they are going ro take my payment on Monday yes the one I paid on line. I don't think so. When you call the line it states that there workers are still what home, yet when the salesman called he was told that they were shut for dinner seriously everyone working from home goesto dinner at the same time brilliant company.

Really unhappy with PSA

Really unhappy with PSA . PSA FINANCE did not take my DD out in October 2021. I received txt saying it was there fault and will collect on 15th of Nov 2021. The company also stated this would have no impact on my credit rating . BOOM!!. The first time in 5 yrs credit report shows missed payment. The credit report has dropped 240 points. Tboot a company i have used for 9 nine years faultlessly refused me £90 credit on account. Communication is non existent!!

Reimburse me please

The car I had the finance was paid up to find out that PSA had not stopped taking money from me. I contacted them and was told that they would pay the money that’s in credit within 5 to 7 working days which was 8 days ago so I contacted PSA again so they could chase this up and was told again to wait another 5 to 7 working days and the money will be refunded back into my account. What is a worry for me is reading all these reviews and people have been waiting over 3 months to get there money and still they are waiting and I’m not going to wait that long or tolerate waiting for months on end

UPDATE 03/11/21 : I WILL NEVER FINANCE A CAR THROUGH PSA FINANCE UK LIMITED AGAIN

Update to my review of the 26th October 2021 !
NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
But then again did I really expect PSA to take any
notice of my review - did I really expect the staff at PSA
to pass my refund query onto the "correct department"
as stated he would do on my last phone call - did I
really expect PSA to refund me in full within a week - having ‘only’ waited 3 months already
NO ! NO ! NO !
So I guess I'm not surprised but will keep on trying - and waiting - and making follow up phone calls

Not a great start

Me: I can see that the DD was set up in october, so why was no money taken?
Them: It's an error in our system, it often doesn't work with the first payment

Me: So will it work the next time?
Them: I don't know. It should do

Me: Why is the outstanding amount increased by £12?
Them: That's because the payment was late, so we've charged you a late repayment charge

Me: For a payment that you knew would never be taken, so wasn't in fact 'missed' at all?
Them: Yes. But I can refund that for you if you like?

Me: Yes, I think I would like that. will this mean that I get a black mark on my credit rating?
Them: I'm not sure. It shouldn't do, but if it does then call us back and we'll get that sorted for you.

Me: Well that's dandy. Thank you for your help. You have been very helpful
Them: No problem at all. When the call ends there will be a short survey if you wouldn't mind filling that in?

Me: No not at all, I'd love to fill that in.

Computer: How likely would you be to recommend us to a friend or colleague, where 0 is not at all likely, and 9 is extremely likely?
Me: (talking to the computer) How would I recommend a finance company? I have no say in who Citroen mandate I use for this loan. (Pressed 2)

A Good Car Dral!

Buying a car from Robins and Day was so easy,the salesmen are very knowledgeable and keen to help,we dealt with Naresh Syal he went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Well done!!

“Repair” and “Cancellation” Fees.

PSA Finance charged me for a “repair” and “cancellation” fee that I did not agree to. They phone you three weeks in advance of your lease ending asking to arrange for pickup/inspection of your car. If you agree to the inspection you are not allowed to drive your car as they seal it up with stickers, meaning you miss out on paid in advance days. They do little to facilitate a refund, do not accept any form of communication to discuss the query. Thoroughly disappointing service, as well as shady practices charging £120 for a “repainting” of a door that seemingly had paint drops at the bottom of it? Photograph every inch of your vehicle when you receive it so that you do not become a victim of their ways of getting extra money from you. Further, they charged me £127 for a “cancellation fee”. Again I didn’t agree to this and still have not had any discourse 3 months after the end of my lease. If your lease is up, ensure you tell your bank that they should not process any payments after the end of the contract as they will aim to take it from you.
