My replacement card "declined"!

Bigger problem for me than all the texts yesterday is that my "new card" I was sent has been "declined" at Esso Stations both times I have tried to use it. - The original (through the Caravan Club) worked fine. I'll login and try to ensure it is linked to my bank properly but I've done some long journeys in the last week or so and lost the benefit of a noticable discount.

Same problem as Mr Kettlewell

Same problem as Mr Kettlewell - joined via Caravan Club but took about a month to get the card ( in the meantime got the weekly text about the price but unable to take advantage as no card issued), used it once so far then the problem this weekend with all the text messages - have emailed them, web login does not even let me change the phone number to stop them, only option is to unsubscribe and revoke the card - disgusting. I have an older phone with limited memory and as fast as I delete the texts another load come through and block my phone as no memory left. I may have had some important text messages but unable to receive anything. Not happy. Rosie

Echo what others have said

Echo what others have said. I got 48 identical texts yesterday. Unlikely to use it. Will cancel account and do suggest that Caravan and Motorhome Club don't promote.

OH Dear ..signed up through offer with…

OH Dear ..signed up through offer with Caravan club - have had problems with password, when received fuel card but on e-mailing them they sorted it and I registered on Thursday but received no acknowledgement by e mail ? so on Friday wondering if registered or not - read these reviews and decided to cancel -job done I thought?.. but yesterday received at 1105 about 60 texts telling me the weekly fuel costs in 1 hour-drove me nuts -tried replying with STOP to no avail -then tried web site -it was down, so sent e-mail informing them of the problem and for them to remove me from the text register as I had closed my account within 12 hours of activating it - it stopped sending texts at 1206
SO hopefully thats the end of it -think caravan club should not promote it!

Use with great caution

Only cheaper if you have meticulously checked the current prices to make sure the discount does actually reduce the price to something reasonable. Be very careful. In addition they seem to promote active spamming - unless you consider 50 texts on one day acceptable?

I would give a zero if I could

I would give a zero if I could. They are a bunch of useless *****. They couldnt keep up with demand for cards, took months to get one. Then when finally get it and about to use for the first time. Their system seems to have been hacked, bombarded with over 60 texts in One day, site down, no explaination. Site finally back up I cancelled account and cut up card. Suggest everyone else does the same. DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE! Do not let these muppets have any of your personal details, they will put them at risk! No contact to apologise or explain what was going on AVOID!

Shame I can't give zero stars!

Shame I can't give zero stars!
Also got over 50 texts throughout the day with no way of stopping them
Wouldn't be so bad but don't even have a card yet and am not holding my breath.
Have emailed them to close my account and the Caravan and Motorhome Club to recommend they disassociate themselves from this bunch of losers

Poor service and management.

I have a card now after waiting for it for months. fuel savings none, even though promised, fuel cheaper in Asda at the pump. Today 57 texts to tell me the fuel price this week, the problem being I am a emergency worker on call so I have to check my phone every time. This could put someones life at risk as it distracts from what my phone is for. I like to be informed but this is like unsolicited calls.

Would have said no star but can’t do…

Would have said no star but can’t do that. Shocking service, signed up months ago still no card, today flooded by messages for the current price.
Even if the card does arrive I will shred it, how can you trust a company that is so disorganised.

Pump King and CMHC let down

Same as others 40+ messages today that is excessive to say the least however with no way to contact them not a lot you can do. So decided to check the bank and found payment taken twice for same transaction I would urge others to check your payment history.
Personally as the recommendation to use this bunch of sharks came from the CMHC I suggest anyone who took up this offer from the club to take issue with them as in my opinion the club should accept some responsibility due to again in my opinion not exercising due diligence when arranging this deal?

Michael

Ridiculous spam of txts today

Ridiculous spam of txts today. Tbh I’ve never even used the card after realising they charge you each month for the privilege when they aren’t even cheaper than local stations. But getting 50 txts when surely their marketing team should have rectified this is ridiculous. I have asked to be removed from all databases. Surely this isn’t allowed with the IPO

Free card, cheaper fuel, cant complain

I'm guessing today they have had a technical hiccup as it seems a large number of people have been getting a large amount of texts, myself included, website was down also. It seems to be back up and running. I've had a good experience from them it hasn't cost me anything to get the card and their site stayed that there may be a delay in a card being sent out due to a large amount of recent applications. My card arrived a couple of months after I submitted my application and I'm saving on average 5-6p at esso garages, which brings it down in line with supermarket fuel, which is of lower quality. I'm happy with my pumpking card, its cost me nothing and saves me about £5-10 per month on fuel, no complaints here
