If only I could give no stars. Absolute rubbish store in Bedford. Take your money but will not give refunds only credit notes, which is no good to me.

Caught out
Bought a Christmas tree with flashing lights. Enquired before purchase if the lights could be controlled as I wasn’t keen on the fast flashing which was what was being demonstrated in the shop. I was told that yes you can alter them there is a switch. On trying the tree out at home I found that there was no control so took the item straight back to the shop only to be told it was company policy to only exchange or issue a credit note not a refund. When I argued the point I was told there are notices stating this. Yes indeed there were but not shown prominently. The cashier pointed to two notices beside me which were particularly hidden by merchandise, you would need x-ray vision to spot them. Needless to say I’m now stuck with a credit note which I doubt I will ever use as I won’t be going back any time soon.
QD are not upholding the plastic bag…
QD are not upholding the plastic bag tax. The lady on the checkout went to place my purchases in a carrier bag without asking and without charging for the bag, which I thought was a legal requirement. It is all retailer's responsibility to reduce the amount of plastic that packaging creates, not to add more to the tons of it floating in the oceans.
Credit where it's due. delivery arrived on time.
Ordered garden furniture set. Ordered 2nd September delivered 21st September. It wasn't till after I'd ordered that I realized it can take up to 21 days for delivery. I panicked after checking the reviews last week. No need as I am happy that I received the delivery this morning at 6:50am. The delivery company called yesterday morning to let us know it would be an early delivery. If you are in any doubt when ordering use a credit card for protection. I could have got the set discounted to the same price locally at a garden centre but that didn't include the cushions and parasol. I probably would use this company again.
Shocking customer service and no goods
First time ordering with company and never again. Delivery time was given as 3 to 5 days. I'm still waiting for item 11 days after despatch email. Telephone service is only taking order calls not order queries. Social media messages are not being monitored. Comments posted on Facebook asking for refund are deleted. Received one email after chasing for a tracking no, to get tracking reference but no courier company details. Finally get told courier company for tracking reference to advise will only update on delivery. Shocking customer service !!!

Do NOT use this company. I purchased a garden dining set and chairs from this company in May-2019. Last Friday, the glass table shattered for no other reason than the heat of the day (32 degrees) - fortunately no was injured as my wife and children weren't home and I was working upstairs at the time. However, the photos of how the glass broke and where it landed (on the chairs) show they would have been had they been sat on the stairs. This company was totally uninterested in investigating the reasons behind it and only try to avoid blame. Refused to pull the product from sale even temporarily whilst they investigated the issue. Clearly we expected a table such as this to be able withstand the relatively mild heat of a British summer and it can't.

First time ordered from this site and wont order again. My goods did not arrive. I received an email advising that they were damaged at Warehouse. I understand accidents happen but there is no one to discuss the problem with. Contacted customer service who gave loads of information but nothing relating to my query. I understand things are a bit slower at present but don't take orders if you cannot support the customer when things go wrong.
Happy with Bistro garden set
I searched everywhere for a 2 seat bistro set. Found one on QD via google at a good price. Ordered it. Then saw the bad reviews. I'm relieved to say the item arrived within 5 days of ordering. I had regular email updates. The table has a slight fault on the underneath of it but it cannot be seen. I'm extremely happy with my purchase from qd. Thankyou

Product misrepresented on website
Product misrepresented on website, it clearly stated that no assembly was required which influenced my decision to buy. It arrived damaged and in seven different pieces with no screws, bolts etc.

Order Never arrived and still waiting for refund 10 days after requesting. QD Stores and Cherry Lane Garden centres are part of the same company. Unfortuantely i purchase the same item from both companies. Firstly from Cherry Lane Garden centre. first order was placed at the beginning of May. DX delivery services showed it had been despatched but then the consignment disappeared. After raising an incident ticket there was no response. I had to chase several times until i requested a refund because they had no idea if the order had even been dispatched. I then made the mistake of ordering from QD Stores the same product.. Then the same thing happened.. 10 days after requesting a refund i am still waiting. Over the 2 and half months i have not received one phone call or e-mail from either company. Terrible customer service and unprofessional set up. Avoid.. save your time and buy from elsewhere. They would make a great episode for Watchdog!

I ordered a pop up gazebo as I had been looking for a certain size one and found just the right one on this site. It came in about a week well packaged , the gazebo had its own bag. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews before I purchased this item as I would have been put off. I am very happy.

This company are a joking. Don't bother ringing them, you can't get hold of anyone, phone just cuts off. After numerous emails they eventually answered stating my items had been sent on the 26th June by parcel force, they gave me tracking numbers, when I checked with parcel force the numbers don't exist. Have now raised this with paypal who are looking into it. It is now 9th July and I still haven't received anything. Have send further emails but again nothing.
