Wombat does make investing simple!
Wombat is super simple to use. I'd never invested before and opened an account with Wombat to try it out casually at first. Wombat has given me more confidence and even though a lot of reviews mention a lack of choice, I don't want 6000+ stocks to choose from - 99% being companies most have never heard of. The selection on Wombat is perfect and the app is really smooth.
The newly launched savings account is also a massive win too - a great interest rate without the hassle of moving around, and the rate isn't specific to a certain balance and doesn't change after x months.

Perfect way to start investing
I came to Wombat near it's launch in 2020 with very little investment experience. Whilst I have expanded my savings portfolio since, 4 years later and I'm still here!
It's just a refreshingly simple approach when compared against the competition. It has a clear interface, solid support and makes investment easier to understand. If your looking to get started, this is a great entry!

I contacted your help desk as I was and still unable to put any money into the account. The reply was there has been a "bug" in the system and advised to do it another way.

Great, intuitive, user friendly introduction to the stock market
I gave Wombat a go from September through to December 2023 and although it didn't end up being for me, I would highly recommend it. My experience was that I'd never invested in stocks before. It's all app based and there are different accounts (including savings) to choose from. What I liked was how intuitive and user friendly the interface was. It's very slick and very welcoming. I invested in groups of stocks and I did end up making a bit of money but ultimately on reflection I decided it wasn't for me. The support is via e-mail and is ticketed and prompt. The lady who dealt with my query was called Kate and she was brilliant. She helped me consider my options prior to closing my account and provided me with all the help and support I was after. I feel investing is, to some extent, about "setting and forgetting" (as it were) rather than constantly checking to see what you are making/what you are not. There is certainty (at the moment) with savings accounts and there is the security of premium bonds (but that's down to luck and also how much capital you invest). Stocks are obviously different and for a layman like me, it was something I was happy to give a go. I researched different companies before hand and I would say this was the best. Bit of a weird review but what I would say is go for it and if it isn't for you, then this is the best way to find out! (Should point out as already noted there are other types of account Wombat offer including savings but I wasn't in need of an account, if I am, would happily use).

I've had a look at your account and can see that your second trade was placed at 21:03 on 19/09/23. Our instant account trades on the New York Stock Exchange which closes at 21:00 on business days. Your trade completed at 14:30 the following day when the market reopened.

I’d give it zero stars if I could.
Won’t give me my money.

Doesn’t trade in real-time.
Places my trades two days late and tries to blame me.
You contact support about any of the many many issues and bugs (which is nearly daily) and you’re told just to delete the app and reinstall (which I’ve had to do a staggering 16 times so far)
Clearly the app does not work and in these Financial Times when people have less money than ever before, they are asking you to invest your hard earned cash into a platform that does not work.
STAY AWAY, HUGE CON, DOESNT WORK!!!!
