Ordered some car mats only use them for…

I Ordered some car mats ,only to use them for about five weeks , stitching came out on the driver side Mat, requested refund via PayPal , but as for paying for my return p & p the RAC told me that I was refused return postage & packing, saying their supplier said it wasn’t a manufacturing fault?? RAC said for all they know I could’ve lent the mats while I wasn’t not using my car on holiday??? To quote reply I received form RAC “ While I appreciate you may have been away on holiday for a month in Portugal, we cannot guarantee anyone else has not had use from the mats.” Absolutely ridiculous, Well if the stitching coming undone isn’t a manufacturing fault? I’d like to see what is !! I will never use RAC services again , including not renewing my Breakdown cover in May either , I’m going to go with the AA , bad PR & bad customer service ? shouldn’t use suppliers that are not good in customer after care ?.

Poor!

Very poor service. Ordered an item 6 days ago, which the website said was in stock. Money taken from account. No confirmation email. Chased today and item is out of stock, it 'should' arrive by the end of the week and will be sent to me then. CS agent said the Terms and Conditions state that 'in stock', doesn't actually mean in stock at all. Plus I have to wait another 6 days for a refund. What a joke!

Updated to say that I since received 3 emails thanking me for my order, and no cancellation emails. Called back to find out that my order had not been cancelled at all. Now apparently has been. We wait and see!

Very poor returns/exchange policy ... AVOID

Purchased some car mats from RAC shop for a Christmas present. My fault that I ordered the incorrect mats but on realising the fault (wrong year so didn't fit), I contacted customer care to try and swap the mats to be told returns are only within 14 days. This was over Christmas and ordered as a present so of course the mats couldn't be returned with 14 days. Ended up having to purchase another set (not from RAC). Be aware, poor service if you order the incorrect item and want to exchange.

Poor customer experience and don't deliver on time

I ordered a Battery Car charger and was told it will be delivered on 30 December and was not. I had to go and buy another battery and when did arrive on the 3rd I ask for a refund and was told you need to return it and my costs. Don't want to know you on the phone so had to email but constant refusal to take responsibility. Shame on you RAC! Should be given 0 stars but can't

After going out to the car one morning…

After going out to the car one morning to find it not starting, clearly from the battery being at fault, what we needed was advice and a replacement battery. The RAC shop had exactly what we needed and was able to supply and fit the battery in a really short space of time. Excellent job, excellent experience, we will definitely use them again.

Absolutely fantastic service!

Absolutely fantastic service from the RAC. Easy to book etc online, great communication from the patrol man to keep me informed on arrival times. Unfortunately I had purchased the wrong battery online but George had the correct one on his van which meant I had to re purchase another battery but the refund for the wrong battery was quick and smooth. Great service from beginning to end.

I needed a new battery and this service is outstanding, Josh the patrol man was great and did a very professional swap and checked everything was working correctly. Ordered on line which was very easy with excellent communication for the fitting on a day of my choice plus a very competitive price,

Needed new car battery

Needed new car battery - spent a few days trying to ensure there wasn't an electrical fault causing the existing battery not to charge (or to discharge) [Charging, measuring with multimeter etc.]. In the end selected RAC to come and fit a replacement and they did some checks themselves (which I couldn't have done as I didn't have the equipment), before replacing the battery.

Bought a battery for my car delivered…

Bought a battery for my car delivered broken leaking acid, informed your co . you said not our problem its our suppliers they will deal with it. you and your suppliers completely ignored everything including pictures as reference . I informed you that contract was with you , you did nothing. left me with a battery in my home leaking acid. I disposed of said battery and got my bank to start a claim back. Bought battery from reputable co and waited weeks for my refund. Overall the experience as left me thinking I will never use your co again. not at all sure why you thought it was a good idea to get feedback from me. I guess that says it all, your co is badly organized and the people that work there don't care .

Thinkware U1000

I'm so glad I chose to have the RAC engineer fit my Thinkware U1000 front & rear dash cams; I would have never managed it myself and done such an incredibly neat job. The demonstration he gave that followed was most helpful too. I've had the cameras for a while now and I'm very pleased with my choice. The video recordings are of exceptional quality and easily processed with the use of the accompanying app.

Great service

RAC representative arrived in the prescribed slot, with the correct battery, fitted it and kept me informed of all the relevant information. He kept a temporary battery feed connected to the car to avoid the loss of the key code for the car.
