Thank you, Raffles
Thank you, Raffles, for your patience, kindness and experience during the whole process of choosing and bringing home my beautiful, confident, happy, healthy pup. The whole experience has been positive, your patient support with my myriad questions is much appreciated. Having done much research over a long period of time before deciding on a Raffles pup I am so glad I waited for the right one to come along. I have nothing but praise for the way Raffles demonstrate their commitment to the wellbeing of their pups, the environment in which they are looked after, and the homes they go to. A family member also has a Raffles pup, they're delighted and besotted with him.
I agree with the previous 5* reviews
I agree with the previous 5* reviews. We have 2 puppies from Raffles. A Cavapoo and Cavapoochon collected 2 weeks apart. I read all the reviews before still contacting the breeder. Only when I asked a few friends who their puppies were from did all 3 unconnected friends get theirs from Raffles!! All of them are healthy beautiful confident. Nothing but praise received from all 3. So my own independent research (we had 3 litters of pups when I grew up so I know the deal, what is involved etc etc) plus independent recommendations from
3 families, was a no brainer to look into seriously. I get that it is a larger breeder but I took that as a positive especially given the feedback from my friends as Raffles know what they are doing!! Unlike so many first time home breeders on pets4home who clearly don’t understand the first thing about genetic diseases etc based on my questions. All questions I had for the breeder and his son were answered openly and all health checks I requested based on vet’s advice have been answered. They have been really helpful, not pushy, and the whole experience from seeing each pup with their litter and mum was completely as expected and normal. Both mums were gorgeous and I would have taken both home too - lovely friendly and happy. Yes it is a larger breeder and I suspect there will always be people who dislike this but the vet checks, the openness answering all my questions, not letting the pups leave until 10 weeks at earliest (mine came at 11.5 weeks), and the general set up was proper and the pups are amazing. Sociable, lively, checked by my local vets and given the thumbs up, and are wonderful companions for eachother. I’m so thrilled and have already put some friends in touch with Raffles for their cavapoos.
Perfect Puppy Cockapoo
We are first time puppy owners and I have to say our experience with Raffles has been a fantastic one. We were recommended to Raffles by three people all who have happy, healthy dogs with beautiful temperaments.
Our experience has been fantastic from pre-reserve stage right up to collection, lots of information provided and the convenience of selling everything you could need and more for your puppy on site was a welcome one. We met our puppies mum and dad along with 5 puppies in her litter. The reaction of the puppies when they were with their mum was a delight to see.
Our cockerpoo has settled so well, she is happy, healthy and an absolute delight.
Thank you Raffles
Don’t believe everything you read! 100% recommend
After doing a lot of research I came across Raffles. It also come from word of mouth and many friends have used raffles before and spoke so highly of them. I have to admit they made the process so easy from start to finish. I went to view the pups and was so lovely to see them with there mum and them all interacting so well ( the hardest part was picking one!) After seeing some negative comments I do personally believe this is a certain group of people targeting Raffles without any experience themselves with them. On the plus side Lottie has made a perfect addition to our small family, we have never had any health issues with Lottie and the vet confirmed she was in perfect health after her most recent check. Raffles have always been on hand and even checked in with us a few weeks after to ensure Lottie was fitting in well.
Couldn’t recommend more! Thank you so much you really have changed our life’s! X
Serious Genetic Medical issues with our Raffles puppy
We collected our Cavapoo , Archie, from Raffles in February 2019 ( he was born Dec 2018). The breeder carried his ‘mum’ and ‘dad’ in to the room for us to see when we collected him, there was no interaction between our puppy and these dogs, but Archie had been placed in our arms when we arrived and we were besotted as soon as we saw him. He was quiet and shaking when we held him but the breeders said that this was just because he wasn’t used to us. We were first time puppy owners and didn’t question this. I’d been looking for a puppy for our family for a few months and thought I’d done my research about Raffles - their website looked very professional, they were quick to answer any email queries I had and I couldn’t find any negative reviews about Raffles when I searched. I now know that I couldn’t find any negative reviews about Raffles as they delete everything that they don’t like from their own Facebook page and also from ‘For the Love of Cockapoos’ which they control the admin for. Two posts which I made on their Facebook pages over this summer with factual information about the serious genetic medical conditions which our dog has, were deleted by Raffles. I have screenshots to prove they did this and am happy to share these .Raffles say that they are ‘transparent’ but they are far from it. They have also challenged anyone leaving a factually correct one star review on this site, I think this is to have these reviews removed but this backfired when these honest one star reviews were backed up with evidence supplied by the real Raffles owners who have written them and now show as ‘verified’. For honest reviews of Raffles - both negative and positive - put Raffles name into a Facebook search and read info from some of the groups which come up. My original review here named the honest review group but I then had to remove the group name as Raffles objected to this to Trustpilot who said I had to remove it to have this review republished. Raffles are welcome to copy this full review onto their Facebook page for their customers to see a ‘transparent review’ by a real Raffles customer (I bought ‘puppy 93011’ as they called him) but they won’t.
The background to the medical issues which our Raffles puppy, Archie, had are as follows: he was diagnosed with Luxating Patellas in both backlegs at just 6 months old, and had to have surgery on both back legs at that very young age to try to help him, followed by three months of strict crate rest - not the way we imagined spending the summer that year with our gorgeous Raffles puppy. The orthopaedic surgeon said it was the ‘worst case of deformity’ he had seen. We were told that there was no guarantee that his surgeries would mean that his legs would be trouble free when he was older, and so far it’s cost approx £10,000 for his medical treatment and it’s still ongoing (luckily he is insured, but that’s not the point). It’s so sad to see and we have heard of quite a few cases of puppies from Raffles having Luxating Patella ( again search social media sites with the breeders name and ‘Patella Luxation’ for true stories of real Raffles puppies who have had this ). Archie was then diagnosed with Ehlors Danlos syndrome which means that he has a collagen deficiency in his skin, hyper mobility in his joints, and his skin tears and gets damaged really easily. Our vet specialist has said that this is genetic, and dogs with this condition should not be used for breeding. When I told Raffles this they said that it must have come from his mum, but that she was ‘on loan from a breeding partner’ (which was news to us) and they ‘hadn’t used her’ again after that one litter was born. They didn’t explain how they know it isn’t from his dads side except to say that it couldn’t be ‘because of the way that the puppies were sired’. Archie’s dad was Duke, who we have learned seems to have fathered a lot of the Raffles puppies (along with Clooney, they seem to have only used those two poor dogs to breed most of the previous few years litters with different mums. There were over 220 litters alone in 2019, at a time when they were licensed for 48 breeding female dogs, how does that work? The honest review group on Facebook has published lists of the huge numbers of litters born in Raffles in the last few years (compiled from Raffles own website pages and information from real Raffles owners).Raffles said until recently they were a ‘home breeder’ but there is no way that they have raised all of the puppies listed in their own home, despite what they’ve said. They have now changed the wording on their website. They have also recently been downgraded by Cheshire East council from their previous 5 star to 1 star based on many recent complaints and a recent council visit. Please do your homework, search social media sites for information on the breeder and don’t buy from this breeder.

Excellent experience from start to finish, with a gorgeous, healthy, happy pup. Thank you Raffles. 💕🐶
Fantastic breeders
After speaking to a few friends who got their dogs from Raffles, we went on a waiting list for a cavapoochon. Our friends had checked with the local council and vet and I trusted their advice. I spoke with the breeders and they were extremely helpful and gave me the confidence to buy a puppy from them. They vetted us and approved our want to give a puppy a happy home. When I was told a puppy was available, I was sent videos of our pup, with his siblings and mum and advice on owning a puppy. We also bought a starter bundle which gave us all the necessary things to have a puppy in our house. From the moment we were handed our dog, we fell in love. He was clean, well fed and lovable. We immediately had him checked at the local vets we registered him with and they gave him a clean bill of health.
He is now 6 months old and is the most adorable, loving, intelligent and funny dog we could have wished for. We are besotted by him and he has completed our family. In the past few months we have asked them questions and had replies that have been extremely helpful.
Our business is based on recommendations and trust and we can honestly say the same for Raffles if you are thinking of getting a puppy. The fact that you can also get everything you need from the website is marvellous.
Thank you Raffles!
We picked up our 5 month old pup approx…
We picked up our 5 month old pup approx a month ago from Raffles and she has brought nothing but joy to us.
We had previously enquired about a Raffles puppy back in 2018, knowing two friends/colleagues who also chose to bring a pup home from there. At the time, our circumstances weren't right and Raffles rightfully explained that a pup couldn't come home with us. Fast forward to 2020 and our permanent working situations are very different, allowing us to home our cockapoo.
Having read the mixture of reviews on this site, my partner and I feel that the individual should use their best judgement as to whether to use Raffles. For us, having the reassurance of our friends dogs helped us to make the decision. We were able to see our puppy and others from her litter/another litter to make a choice of which pup was right for us.
Yes, she was car sick on the way home but this isn't unusual for puppies as their inner ear isn't fully developed. We found that with exception to her first night at home, she has slept all the way through ever since and took to toilet training incredibly quickly.
We personally chose to get Milly checked out by our vet for piece of mind. They confirmed that she is a gorgeous dog. Unfortunately, days later she did suffer with blood and mucus in her stools. Our vet prescribed antibiotics and we gradually tweaked her diet to include probiotics as cockapoos can be prone to a sensitive stomach and she has been fantastic since.
I must add that we have received regular communication from Raffles after we picked her up and any queries have been speedily responded to along with general check ups to see how she is doing.
Everyone comments on how calm and chilled she is for a pup (apart from when she's spotted a cat!) We have been so thrilled with her.
Yes, we believe Raffles to be a large scale breeder but I would urge individuals to go and see for themselves.
Our only reason for 4 stars is that we were unable to view Mum, we have seen videos of Milly with her Mum and the way she is snuggled into her suggests that no other cocker spaniel could have been her mother.
Lovely Cavapoochon
We have had two Cavapoochon pups from Raffles. We did ask if we could collect one before the release date but even as a known and existing customer were refused as they would not allow any pup to leave without all their vaccinations being complete and the pup being safe for release. I think this speaks volumes about how Raffles value the health and well being of their puppies.
I cannot speak for others but our pup Mollie is healthy, happy, socialised and well behaved. Nearly 5 months old now and a clever, lovable little dog that any family would love to have.
Raffles Cockapoo
Having purchased our Cockapoo from Raffles I can say the whole experience from first contact to collection was Brilliant.
Our Boy is now 11 months old and had no issues whatsoever, can only say go and see for yourselfs if your thinking of purchasing from Raffles
Large commercial dog breeding company!
Firstly I want to point out that although we have an adorable cockapoo from Raffles Cockapoos I now regret buying from this company as at the time we did not do enough research into who Raffles Cockapoos actually are. We saw the lovely website with the available puppy pictures and the family fell in love with the photograph of our selected puppy. That in itself should have been a warning, selecting a pup from a photograph. We NEVER saw mum with her litter, we NEVER saw any of our pups litter as they had various pups from different litters in the waiting room with 4 other families collecting at the same time. We collected our pup in September 2016.
When we brought her home she had ear mites, bloody diarrhoea that lasted for several weeks plus kennel cough. She is terrified of so many things. This isn’t down to how we socialised her as we are experienced dog owners and have had other breeds of dogs for the last 25 years! Our pup had clearly not been socialised whilst at Raffles. She was withdrawn when we picked her up and that isn’t how a pup should react.
Thankfully over the years with lots of behavioural training our dog is so much better but she is still scared of vans, workmen, ladders, loud sudden noises etc...
It was only a year or so later that we heard stories of sick raffles pups, pups that had died and we were horrified. After investigating further into who Raffles are we were shocked! If you try and speak out in a negative way about this company you are banned from their social media and your comments removed.
Cheshire East Council have downgraded their breeding license after their investigation to only 1 STAR. This disturbed me even further as I can only wonder what conditions my pup had to endure doing her 8 weeks with this company.
Raffles sold over 250 litters last year! If this is the sort of dog breeder you still want to buy from who are breeding on such a huge scale then that’s your choice. But personally I put animal welfare first and want a pup from a real home environment not a commercial facility that has a poor star rating from their own council.
DO YOUR RESEARCH? It’s amazing what comes up when you type in their name into google.
Thank you for reading.
Shame the positive reviews can't be proven
Please note the negative reviews are from genuine customers, as Raffles reported the reviews, to which each person was contacted, and reviewed, and reinstated as genuine.
Unfortunately, the positive reviews cannot be verified, and would be good if the positive reviewrs could show the invoices to pove they are genuine
We have a Raffles Cockapoo called…
We have a Raffles Cockapoo called Daisy, who is lovely in all ways, in particular her nature, we got her back in 2017, and we recently decided as a family the time was right for our 2nd. We collected our 2nd Cockapoo recently, he is called Henry and once again has the most outstanding nature. I have two children one has Autism and the nature of the dogs is crucial for us as a family.
We saw both Mum and Dad, and all the litter with Mum, selected our pup and went back to collect three weeks later.
We have visited many breeders mainly pre 2017, and no one gets close to Raffles, the place is amazing, you see Mum and her pups, their facilities are outstanding and above all their support before & after collecting our pup is priceless.
We knew they were a larger breeder back in 2017 and it would not put us off in anyway, the quality of the parents and their start in life is what matters to us. When we collected this they said about all the trustpilot reviews that lots are not from people that are not customers.
We love our dogs, all our friends dogs are Raffles, and we would highly recommend you go and visit them and see for yourself.

It's really sad to see so many negative reviews. Our experience of Raffles was such a positive one and we are delighted with our gentle, sweet natured cockapoo. When we collected our puppy at 11 weeks, socialisation and toilet training had begun. She did have a reaction to the second injection she had received the day before we collected her, but we received full support on how to manage. By the following day our puppy was bouncing around the garden and she's been super healthy ever since. I've only given four stars because we were not able to see Mum with her pups, although we did meet both parents.
Cavapoochon pup with problems
I bought my cavapoochon pup, Hero, from Raffles in July 2019. We had been on the waiting list for a pup in September/October 2019, but "Potter" as he was then called appeared in the available pups section, and we fell in love. The information said he would be ready to collect the following month, but there was an error in the advert and he was already almost 12 weeks and ready to collect that weekend, so off we went. He was intended to be a companion for my daughter and I, after we had had a difficult time, but it didn't quite go to plan. Hero seemed ill from the start, but, with puppy goggles on, and trusting all the advice given by Raffles, there was no question of leaving him behind. I had a besotted 9yo with me who fell in love at first sight, a chaotic collection environment that made me quite anxious, and the surprise that my family and the Wetton family had a long shared history (my family are also from Nantwich), so Hero was ours from the moment he was placed in our arms. I am 100% sure Raffles rely on few being able to say no to taking a pup they have cuddled and fallen in love with, regardless of whether they seem poorly, as they seem to work on emotion and know that it takes a lot for a person to hold "their" puppy and walk away if things aren't quite right. Hero had a cough when we were given him, but I was told this was normal, he just needed a bit of water, and to give him honey and yoghurt if it continued when we got home (I discovered afterwards that this was most likely Kennel Cough, as another pup from his litter had a confirmed case, and that the cough I developed in the week or so after collecting him was probably caught off him, although this was never confirmed). Hero had some water, and the cough eased, so we set off on the journey home to London. Within 10 minutes, Hero had vomited all over my daughter, and continued to vomit, so by the time we reached the first service station en route, we had to stop, clean up, and give him some water. He vomited again. The sheer amount of vomit that came out of such a tiny dog was incredible! I called Raffles, who once again assured me this was normal and that he was just travel sick. It took 6 hours to get back to London, stopping at virtually every services to clean up more vomit and give a little water. Within 24 hours of arriving home, the diarrhoea containing blood started. I didn't panic, because Raffles had insisted this was normal, too, but after a few days of using Panacur, as instructed, I contacted Raffles for advice. I was advised to give another 5 days of Panacur treatment, but the problem continued. It took several trips to the vet, a few courses of Panacur and antibiotics, and a change of food from the breeder recommended food to stop Hero passing blood and firm up his stools. All in all, it was around 8 weeks before Hero finally had solid, blood free faeces. Then he had ear infections. And, worst of all, on Christmas Eve, he developed what I believed to be an eye infection but it turned out that it was actually distichiasis & ectopic cilia - a hereditary condition that causes eyelashes to curl back towards the eye, and, worse, eyelashes that grow inside the eyelid and herniate the eye. Hero had to have part of his eyelid removed to correct this. To their credit, Raffles refunded me for the full amount I paid for Hero, however, it took 6 months of constant trips to the vet, sacrificing work to make his appointments and ensure his treatments were administered. He required round the clock care, and, as a result, he also developed behavioural issues, which have required another 8 months of careful management, and will probably be an ongoing issue. I love my boy to the moon and back, but the effect on my life and my family's lives as a result of his medical issues and behavioural problems has been monumental. I wouldn't swap him for the world or be without him now, not after fighting so hard for him & getting him healthy, but if anyone had told me exactly how much he would trash my life for a while, I wouldn't have got him. Hero was an apt name for him. He is amazing, and we love him to bits, but I would never get another Raffles pup. If you go to Raffles for your pup, go with your eyes fully open. Make sure they and their mother recognise each other and interact (Hero & his "Mum" didn't seem to know each other), that the blanket you are given has definitely got the scent of their litter (Hero's was from a random pile of blankets, definitely not with his mother's scent), and I would recommend changing the food, as my vet insisted the protein level was too high for a puppy of a companion breed. Also ensure you book them in for a vet check within the first few days home.
I went to Raffles believing they were an ethical breeder, but I was left disappointed. I don't doubt Raffles used to be a great breeder, but they now seem to be producing too many litters :(
AMAZING
AMAZING! We have recently visited Raffles in the last week to look at puppy. I am writing this review today as I am disgusted at the negative feedback. I have been surrounded by animals my whole life and have had many breeds of dogs from various breeders and rescues over the years. I currently have a spaniel who was not from Raffles and was as we later found out from a puppy farm as we have had many issues over the years with him physically and mentally. Three years ago I researched cockapoo breeders which led me to Raffles. We had to apply, give details on our home, animals etc before we were accepted. We chose a cockapoo from Raffles two years ago and she has been the best dog we have ever had. We viewed the pup with her Mum and Dad who were both amazing dogs. When we arrived at what I only describe to people as Home Farm from Emmerdale we could see the dogs coming back in from a walk soaking wet where they had been swimming in their lake! They couldn't be happier. The animals are immaculate, well groomed, healthy and most definitely happy! You can see on large TVs the cctv watching their new litters everything is on show, no negatives hiding behind the scenes. We are now getting another dog from this breeder because we have been so happy with our experience from start to end. They give you after care, they don't let the pups go until 10 weeks not 6 or 8 as others do and they are fully chipped, vaccinated plus given a blanket with scent to help them settle. We have recently viewed and chosen a new addition that when we viewed was with her litter. I really can not say enough about this set up. The owners are dog lovers, you know this by seeing them with the dogs and the way in which the dogs react to them too. Our two year old is an apricot two tone cockerpoo called Daisy who is happy, healthy ,bright and confident. We are now about to have a sable little girl too. The negative reviews seem to have no factual evidence just general negativity, this seems odd to me? If I'd had a bad experience or visit I would have more detail than these reviews do. My definition of a puppy farm is at the total other end of the spectrum to what I have seen with my own eyes at Raffles. Can not recommend this breeder enough and literally have recommended them in the last two years to every man and his dog!
As someone who has worked in the…
As someone who has worked in the Veterinary profession for 40 years we went to pick up a puppy for our son with an open mind . The place was immaculate, the puppy was clean , happy and very confident . I have never seen a puppy arrive with full vaccinations including kennel cough , excellent flea and worm cover and litter tested for Giardia before release . The after care advice was excellent and the puppy has thrived . I can only report of our own experience but my observation was that although this is a large breeding establishment breeding and care of Mum and puppies was a far higher standard that I have seen in many homes and the kennels will need to meet very high standards for the regular authority inspection which we hope to be introduced for home breeders . This review is completely independent.
Raffles puppy farm do not buy
I have already put a statement on here in regard Raffles and it been a puppy farm
But it seems they are getting even lower in there attempt to stop the truth coming out in regard there puppy farm business by putting there own 5 star reviews. On this site
A Facebook account of over 6000 people having issues from this breeder is not a lie . People buying sick puppies from here is not a lie and all these comments stating they are a puppy farm is not a lie .
Verify away . You were 5 Star now 1 Star by Cheshire East Council with the hope That in the future out of business
What surprise report ing to trust pilot when this business is been investigated this just shows the good reviews are from themselves
Take my advice buy from a home breeder!! Not Puppy farm!!
I have recently decided to buy a cavapoo puppy for my daughter.I was recommended by a friend Raffles a few months ago but she has now changed her mind and advised me now not to go here. After much research I have discovered a face book group which was very informative with thousands of raffles puppy owners sharing there experiences (real reviews) which match the very high amount of negatives reviews on here. This place churns out so many puppies every year for pure profit it can not possibly for them to be cared for properly and they are 100% not reared inside the family home as you’re lead to believe. The sad thing is all these poor sick and even dying puppies. These people are disgraceful and I feel for the poor parents too that are being used to produce hundreds of litters.
If just one person reads this and it stops them funding this place by buying a puppy It’s worth me writing. I’m sure they will try to report my review and try and get it removed as they do with any negative comments towards there puppy farm. STOP!! RESEARCH!! and buy from a nice home breeder like I did.Ask yourself this , if this place is so amazing why did Cheshire council only give it 1* rating??? They can see behind the scenes unlike the buyer.
Buying my first puppy...
Bought a puppy from Raffles a few months ago and I cant say a bad thing about them. I was highly satisfied with the whole experience, from the initial contact, to choosing the puppy and even the contact after the puppy has settled in at her new home. The staff are friendly and the dogs are absolutely lovely.
