Use your head and do your research.
This is my 2nd review (my first one has already been verified as genuine - thanks Raffles).
Quite simple, if you have any doubt that Raffles manipulate reviews or the sudden influx of glowing reviews are a bit suspicious, comment on their Facebook on any post “Are you a 1* rated breeder by Cheshire East Council?” (Which is fact btw) or ask how many litters they had in 2019 (I won’t say how many as they’ll probably report the review), I guarantee your comment will be removed and you will be blocked. I wonder why?
As advised in my first VERIFIED review, do your research and use your head.. you’re not buying an appliance, you’re buying a live animal! Of course there are going to be beautiful healthy dogs and positive experiences, considering they sold over 1000 puppies in 2019 it is inevitable and we’d all rather read positive stories with healthy dogs. However, the fact is, there should not be this many unhealthy dogs and it’s down to the breeder this is happening, nothing more. Until Raffles acknowledges these concerns instead of dismissing them and playing a victim, people will continue to spread the word. The only victims are the unhealthy/dead pups, the hundreds of breeding dogs and the owners who have spent thousands on what should have been one of the most exciting purchases they’ll ever make.
Edit - and as for the review saying this is an individual or small number of people targeting a business, ask yourself, why is there a Facebook group with over 6000 members which highlights the truth (both negative and positive) - If you’re dealing with a transparent breeder, they’d allow reviews on their FB page and not hide any form of negativity or remove standard questions EVERY puppy buyer should be asking a potential breeder.
Gorgeous raffles pup
I posted a pic of my pup I was buying on facebook and I was instantly attacked for purchasing from the breeders raffles, initially it put me off but in time I thought the way it was done was rude and decided to make up my own mind, I arrived and was instantly suprised by the establishment which was very impressive, clean and an imaculate courtyard, previously described as a farm with a dirty yard to me, I confronted the owner with the accusations that had been made, I wouldnt see the mum, I did she was brought out by the owners son, she was happy waging her tail and in very healthy condition, I went further and said what about the dad, again he was brought out and full of life and very happy, he even took me in to see the CCTV on the pups in there kennels which where all very clean and tidy with no signs of any delapidation or dirtyness, I asked various questions and was helped on any concerns I had, I couldnt find fault with anything, it apears to me that this is a group of people who are extreme and systematically attacking all kennels as they are private breeders, my boy is beautiful and I'm very pleased with the quality of the breed lines, he looks fab and the raffles cockerpoo look, just go along and make up your own mind dont be bullied or put off, you will be impressed.
Bought our cockapoo from raffles
Bought our cockapoo from raffles , must say very impressed with the whole experience, we saw our pup with her mum and other siblings, I nearly bought two , the place was immaculate clean , and the set up was amazing, we got lots of help with our puppy , advice and aftercare , I would highly recommend raffles, I think you can only judge on your own personal experience which mine was fantastic
Couldn't be more happy with Raffles
Couldn't be more happy with Raffles! We purchased our dog in October 2019 and having seen how someone is trying to put a bad reputation on Raffles I need to write my review.
The place was spotless and pups looked beautifully looked after in such a caring and calm environment. Very personable service and cannot fault our little beauty now.
I would 100% recommend raffles and would recommend you pay a visit before you listen to the negative reviews as whoever is doing this should be ashamed of themselves.
We received an amazing service and the owners still give us helpful tips and advice now. Raffles will help and support you with your dog as much as they possibly can... never been a problem.
Thank you Raffles.... Our little Beauty is amazing temperament and is now our little boys best friend.
Stay strong and ignore all the ignorance.
A***** service from an A star breeder!
THANK YOU!!!
Everything from start to finish 10/10
I bought our dog last year and can only say positive things about Raffles. There premises were clean and the dogs/puppys were well looked after. Our puppy, now all grown up, has been nothing but a joy to have. We have never had any problems with his health, he has always been happy and if we wanted another dog we wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Raffles. I assume the negative reviews I’m seeing are the same person trying to put raffles business down which is such a shame as if you went yourself and seen first hand you’d realise all these negative reviews are untrue.
Cockapoo Bestfriends
2 puppy’s from this breeder one now aged 5 years and the other now 5 months.
We were able to see the puppy playing with litter and sent regular updates on growth and personality.
The owner supported us through the first few months settling the new puppy in as it was a big shock for the older one who had been on her own for so long.
Throughout the settling in period I was able to pick up the phone and get advice on behaviour issues that are normal with a puppy and a 5 year old.
It’s not been an easy journey and we still have to get up at 5 am every day as this is when she needs to go poop 😂
My personal experience was both supportive and excellent with not only our interests at heart but our 2 cockapoos health and well-being.
We now have 2 amazing dogs who are inseparable.

I did my research before purchasing my beautiful boy however I have since learnt of hundreds of litters that were produced by this breeder in the sane year! I thought they were are home breeder but have since learnt otherwise. I am very happy with my dog however I did have issues when I first brought him home with his health. This did raise alarm bells as the vet they use did not want to speak with my vet which was very unusual. I did have my vets fees refunded and a gift sent to my puppy. This was lovely at the time but now I have opened my eyes as to why this was done! I did feel they are so busy they don’t keep track of what is going on. Litter 06/08/2019 bubbles and duke.
We got a puppy for my daughter back in…
We got a puppy for my daughter back in November, and can not fault the owners of Raffles at all, they were very helpful, full of advice and knowledge about my daughters dog. You can tell the dog is from a 1st class breed and healthy environment as her temperament is great and she’s so loving. Would definitely recommend Raffles.
Excellent Experience
We had our puppy from Raffles. We couldn’t fault the whole experience and would definitely use them again.
I feel that when you read the majority of the reviews already posted on this page, most have been fuelled by a group targeting the business and some people are reviewing based upon opinions that this group publish and regurgitate on a daily basis which is a shame. It would be useful if the reviews came from real experiences.
I would also like to add that I aren’t sure there’s truth in the poodle fading gene- our dog is now red when she was dark apricot as a puppy. If you do your research before having a dog you would have already known they are likely to change colour. Again, I feel this is another set of reviews that doesn’t help others.
When choosing your breeder speak to Raffles yourself, go and see the puppies. We were so well taken care of, and so was our baby. Her Mum and Dad were beautiful and we got to see them both. We got all the help we needed after taking her home and felt we could contact Raffles for any help that we needed.
Last year I was looking at buying our…
Last year I was looking at buying our first dog as a family. I’d had GSD when I was with my parents so I really wanted to know about the Cockapoo before I made my decision. I’d heard about Raffles and they were local so wanted so advice from what I thought was a great breeder. I’d seen the fabulous website and lots of glowing reviews so this was my number one choice even though they were more expensive due to the excellent customer experience others had. I called and spoke to a man which I believe was Mark and asked if I could pop over to take a look at some puppies and have a chat about the breed before I joined the waiting list. I wanted to see where they bred the puppies and some background information about them as a breeder. I was told no just send an email what I wanted and they would get back to me. It was cold, business like and more like ordering a sofa choosing what colour and size. This wasn’t the experience I was hoping for so I found a wonderful home breeder who was willing to spend time answering my questions and able to visit and meet the puppies and mum in the home environment. I was interested in another puppy this year and thought maybe the man I spoke to was having a bad day so joined the Raffles group again but saw something sinister when the owners wrote an awkward post. I made a comment when I saw people’s comments where being deleted so I asked why were people being deleted and within seconds I was removed too. I feel they clearly had something to hide and now know the reviews on the Raffles website were false and the bad reviews deleted so giving a false representation of them which surely isn’t legal? My review is honest and 100% accurate of my experience of Raffles.
Downgraded to 1 star! Dont believe anything on their website!
Dont believe what their website states! Bought a dog in May supposedly comes with blanket with scent of Mum and toy had played with - blanket was brand new and toy was new and so cheaply made threw it away when got home!
You get 1 health test certificate for Dad but absolutely NOTHING for Mum despite what the website states regarding multiple tests for both Mum and Dad. They give no information on whatsoever on Mum!
Pup came home with upset stomach despite website saying they do not allow them to leave with lose stools - another lie! Also had ear problems.
Only saw video of Mum with pup which was led to believe was where they were raised since found out not raised in home like website stated - another lie! When went to collect pup no sign of Mum!
Website states they dont allow pups to go to homes of people who work full time - another lie! They never asked any questions about us and if we worked!
And now they have been downgraded by Cheshire East Council to 1 star! That says it all!
My review is 100% genuine and 100% correct. I can prove it and would be happy to show my receipt and email correspondence. I find it offensive that there are comments on here saying the negative reviews are fake, they really are not! The owners have reported my review but they are waisting their time as it will be verified by Trustpilot! 😁
Our raffles puppy is amazing
We are very happy with our raffles puppy milly, she is amazing. We looked for a while for a puppy. When I saw raffles puppies I fell in love. We went on the waiting list for a puppy. Ali was really helpful, she sent us photos of milly to see her before we went to met her. We were really impressed when we went to meet her. Everything was perfect. We met her mum and dad . Milly has been so easy to train. Everyone that meets her says how beautiful she is And always ask where we got her from. She is healthy and full of energy. She love running around at the beach . We have recommended raffles to lots of people, and if we get another puppy we would be very happy to go back to raffles.

Just to confirm I have purchased a puppy from Raffles!!! Sadly before I was aware of the massive issues they have with regards sick puppies, over breeding etc etc So to those accusing me of not stepping foot in raffles - I have please read my previous review do your homework look in to this breeder and how they operate - posh puppy farm- Also why was I charged more for an apricot colout my cavapoo is now completely white - no warning of complete colour fade which is what poodles are known for so you could pay a lot for a red puppy that eventually turns a lot lighter! We paid £1295 for our cavapoo look at the price hike just in 12 months.
They got greedy
Raffles has become a glorified puppy farm. I believe they started as they advertise to be - home breeders, raising all litters in their own home blah blah, but not anymore. It’s a massive puppy production line. Pregnant mothers brought in from ‘breeding partners’ and shipped back off To god knows where after pups are weaned. Just so pups can be called ‘a Raffles’ and carry a price tag of thousands. Studs and mothers are in terrible condition, they don’t allow prospective buyers to see litters with mum, oh they’ll say they will but then there will be some excuse. Puppies usually sold on a ‘must buy today or he’ll be sold to someone else’ basis. Pressure selling at its best. Shame on you Raffles. Yes I am a customer, yes I have a raffles dog who is amazing but she had a stinking ear infection, campylobacter and An intestine infection beginning with G which tristpilot is flagging up as inappropriate language ??? when we picked her up. Many others have had puppies severely ill or much much worse.
Not a genuine home breeder as they state
I have struggled where to begin with this review. After loosing our spaniel I came across by chance Raffles cockapoos via Facebook. I had a slight allergy to our spaniel in the last years of his life so a hypoallergenic dog sounded ideal. I spotted a puppy on their page and messaged to enquire. I was told he had sadly been reserved but to keep my eye out as they had another litter due soon. Half an hour, later I receive another message, the family thought “Toff” was a girl and their daughter wanted a girl dog so he was available again. With the message was the warning that if I wanted him I had to act quickly as he wouldn’t be available for long and to pay the deposit, which I did. We arranged to collect him the next week. At the time it didn’t even occur to me that they didn’t ask any questions about our lifestyle, how a puppy would fit in with it, how we planned to care for him during work hours as other breeders had in the past and then most recently when getting our spaniel.
Upon arriving at Raffles we was taken aback by the house and grounds. Walking in we was greeted by the owner who went to a pen and brought us over our puppy. We couldn’t believe the size of him, he was huge and certainly didn’t look 10 weeks but as with everyone else we loved him and didn’t think about it again. We’ve now discovered he is not a cavapoo as we thought but a large cockapoo. He had been in the pen with a cavalier spaniel who did not seem interested in him at all and as my Mum said she looked sad. After payment and been given a bag with blanket, food etc we set off home. Once home our pup, now named Bobby would not eat. He was also sick and very lethargic. We contacted the owners who told us to try him with chicken and rice. We expressed our concerns that he was almost lifeless and we planned to take him to the vet. He immediately told us not to do this and to try the chicken and rice first as it was probably because he hadn’t eaten. We then was blamed for causing our pup to be ill because we placed him down on some grass at the service station. He was on this grass for no more than two minutes and it was in a corner of the station which was always quiet. This most certainly did not cause our pup to become this ill within two hours. Eventually we went to the vet who prescribed medicine and said this should have been picked up on the health check and confirmed that he would not have picked it up from the grass and he’d been sick for at least a few days. He also checked his ears which were extremely smelly and gunky and we had to have drops for these. At the time there were a few alarm bells that something wasn’t right and this has stayed with me for years. Recently I discovered a Facebook group of people with similar or much worse experiences. This breeder had over 200 litters last year. That is not a home breeder. That is a puppy farm, it doesn’t matter whether it’s in the grounds of a mansion that is what it is. The local council has downgraded their license to a 1. Please, please research before considering using this company. Luckily our pup did not have any major ongoing issues however he still has smelly ears which he scratches all the time but the vet said this is down to how he was bred and the environment he was in during his first weeks and there is nothing we can do about it. We love him to bits but we now wish we hadn’t supported such an organisation.
Posh puppy farm
This place is no more than a posh puppy farm. You will not be comforted with the fact that the puppy has grown in a nurturing family environment as they breed such an enormous number of puppies that it’s impossible to give them the love and care needed.
I have been astounded to learn that over the course of a few years the price of a puppy has increased dramatically and Im certain that lockdown situation has exasperated the desire for a puppy hence driving their prices up. A classic example of putting profits before the welfare of the puppies.
Raffles puppy confirmed parvovirus
We bought our puppy in 2015. On the Saturday (1st day) we picked her up and over the weekend we stayed at home as our puppy had not had all her vaccinations. All weekend she was a little quiet, sleepy but didn't want to eat or drink much. At the time we put this down to her settling into a new environment. On the Monday (3rd day) she started to retch and we took her to the vets.
They confirmed she had a raised temperature and gave her antibiotics and an anti-sickness injection. The next day she seemed a bit better but still did not eat or drink much.
On the Wednesday (5th day) she had defecated everywhere so we took her to the vets. She was very poorly, the vets kept her in and later the vet confirmed parvovirus. We were devastated and our son just could not understand what was happening, it was just awful.
On the advise of the vet we let Raffles know so they could reach out to our puppies siblings. Immediately, they were firm in stating they did not have parvovirus and had never had parvovirus. They even questioned the diagnosis and suggested it wasn't 100% parvo? (Parvo was 100% confirmed via a 2nd test)
Raffles blamed us as we had told them about a second hand crate we had bought. Although, on their advise we did not use this crate and immediately bought a new one. Not once did we put the blame on anyone or ask for funding towards our puppy's treatment as we focussed on getting our puppy well again.
During this upsetting time Raffles continually put pressure on us to allow them to speak to our vets. We refused this as they was causing confusion over our puppies treatment. This did not go down well with Raffles.
Luckily, our puppy started to improve and eventually she was brought home. We let Raffles know this and again they said it was our fault our puppy had got parvovirus and if they could take the puppy back they would do so!!!!
We genuinely believed we were an isolated case so I was so shocked when in 2018 I read other stories about poorly puppies from Raffles on the Puppy Love Campaign. We were devastated they had other puppies with confirmed parvovirus. It seems we all have similar stories especially in the way Raffles treat the owners of poorly puppies.
Although there are stories of healthy puppies being bought from Raffles, there are still too many stories of poorly puppies being bought from this breeder. This is not acceptable and should not be happening 5 years after we bought ours.
Following inspections by Cheshire East over the last few months, Raffles has been downgraded to a 1 star breeding establishment and an investigation still continues. I have a letter from Cheshire East to confirming this.
Before purchasing from this breeder please do your research and look at both good and bad reviews. There are many people out there who don't believe our stories and think this is a hate campaign which is so untrue. For those of us who have had a poor experience with Raffles we find this extremely upsetting and we just want these sad stories to stop.
Please have a look at Raffles have your say on facebook. Read the good and the bad reviews and make up your own mind but please don't dismiss our sad stories as you just don't want to believe it.

Kennel cough and ear mites came with puppy!
I purchased a puppy 2 years ago and she had a terrible cough on the drive home. I rang the breeders when I arrived home and she said she might of swallowed fluff and to not worry, I did my own research and posted a video of her cough on a support fb page and everyone said it sounded like kennel cough. I took her to vets which confirmed it was and was given antibiotics, I told the breeder this and he said that was crazy and no other pup from the litter had kennel cough and vets are just trying to get money. I was angry and confused. Cut a long story short we were back and forth for weeks, I eventually found others from her litter and they ALL had kennel cough and were fighting the same battle with the breeder. They eventually paid my vet bills, he never said sorry, he lied to me and his vet signed off a sick puppy. Willow had kennel cough for 3 months!! Was on medication and couldn’t socialise with any dog. On top of that in the first vet visit she had ear mites and to this day has chronic ear condition that has lead to £2400 in coats relating to her ears. I am so sorry I funded this puppy farm, kennel cough often happens when large amount of dogs are kept in close living and in 2019 alone raffles (now called Cheshire poos) churned our 240 litters, taking the mums away from pups before 8 weeks, and charging a large amount for each pup. They don’t care about the welfare of each dog and they are in it for the money. Avoid at all cost.
Avoid and find a good home breeder
We bought a cavapoochon puppy from Raffles in late November 2019. I had previously been a bit concerned that they were operating a large scale breeding programme based on the number of puppies they seemed to have available, however two friends had bought puppies from them and put my mind at ease, and I had found it equally difficult to establish if home breeders were doing health checks etc and were legitimate.
I found out about Barney when I saw a post on their website about available puppies and emailed them about one particular pup, but they said he had gone. I was advised by email that they did have another one who wasn't on the website and sent me a picture of Barney. We went to meet him the following day and he seemed very sweet, turning over for tummy rubs and then falling asleep in my lap. There was another puppy there, a female one, and we were handed both and given the choice. However she was shaking uncontrollably for most of the time we were there. The breeder said she was cold. It was quite cold in the room (we kept our coats on) so this seemed reasonable. We asked lots of questions and the breeder's answers were reassuring. He brought in both parents, but I thought it strange that both were carried in, couldn't be put down or interacted with really and we couldn't see Barney interact with mum or his litter. This was apparently because it would stimulate her milk supply again, but this seemed odd given he was 10 weeks and had presumably been fully weaned for at least 2 weeks.
We then came back at the weekend to collect him and were taken aback to find that there was lots of other families collecting at the same time. They literally were going into the back and dishing out puppies, and telling people to pick up a blanket from a pile draped over the sofa. The puppies were from multiple litters so these clearly weren't going to smell like the puppy's environment or be at all familiar to him. A short speech was given about what to do over the first night and not to change their food, but to put some of the gravy provided on it if they wouldn't eat. Then everybody's money was taken and we were all dismissed.
I've since discovered they produced 250+ litters in 2019 alone, which was extremely disappointing to hear. We were told that we would be emailed links to their website the next day and we were now part of the Raffles community but I have never heard from them again and to be honest wouldn't want to. It became clear to me what kind of enterprise they were running when they asked us no questions at all about what sort of home we could provide for the puppy, sent the pups away en masse, seemed to have so many puppies, didn't let us meet the parents properly or see the litter or even just our pup and mum interacting and didn't care enough about the dog to give us a blanket that smelled familiar to him. Unfortunately by that point the kids had met him and were besotted.
Our pup wouldn't eat his food except with the gravy, and the second tin of it was set solid so we quickly ran out. He actually lost weight rather than eat the food, and after a week the vet insisted we swap him immediately onto something else. It was difficult to believe he had been eating this same food all along. After switching he then started eating, loves his food and has been fine since. We were then left with a huge sack of food that we basically had to throw away.
We were lucky and our pup seems to be healthy and sociable. However I wouldn't want to buy another puppy from them, let's put it that way, and had warned several family and friends off using them just based on my own experience before I heard recently about the quantity of litters they are churning out. Do your research properly, find a home breeder and be wary of anywhere like this that has multiple pups suddenly available at short notice.
