It was very easy to follow steps and book tickets for a family with options to choose for a family and allowing opportunities to select seats and floor. Also it was great and cost effective to book multiple bookings with one reservation/admin fee!

Paris to Barcelona, September 2026…

We recently booked for one way travel in September from Paris to Toulouse a ten on to Barcelona via Narbonne two days later. In general the online reservation services was efficient but there were a couple of confusing or frustrating issues: 1. for the Toulouse to Narbonne segment I had to book for each of us separately. 2. We elected to print our tickets at home mainly for backup purposes; only after booking was completed were we told that digital tickets on our mobile devices would not be accepted at the stations

Regarding the Toulouse to Narbonne segment, bookings are usually made for all passengers in a single reservation, so we’re sorry to hear you had to complete it separately. On your point about tickets, different rail operators do have slightly different rules. For example, SNCF tickets can generally be shown on a mobile device as long as the PDF is clearly readable and the device is functional (with enough battery and no screen issues). That said, some tickets and operators may still require a printed copy if the ticket is booked as print-at-home, and in cases of any uncertainty, printing is always the safest option before travel.

I don't even think I have all my tickets and I can't print them

You tell me to print my ticket and all I can see are 4 of the 7 tickets as pdfs and there is no print button. I'm very frustrated

After reviewing your booking, we can see that your journey includes different ticket formats. Your Liège–Brussels tickets were issued as mobile tickets, while your Brussels–London tickets were issued as print-at-home tickets. This is why not all of your tickets appear as PDFs that can be printed.

For the print-at-home tickets, there is no separate "Print" button within the ticket itself. To print them, you'll need to open the PDF and use your device's printer settings or print menu. If you don't have access to a printer at home, you can also print the tickets at a local print shop or at a station that offers printing services.

Overall it was a great experience

Overall it was a great experience. However the system doesn’t allow for different options between the trains. As such, I had to book each route separately to allow us time to find the next train in an unfamiliar train station. Also, there was no option to have the train tickets saved to my iPhone Wallet rather than to print them out.

Regarding the journey options, Rail Europe is an authorized ticket distributor for European rail operators, and our website connects directly to their reservation systems. As a result, the schedules, fares, and available itineraries shown on our platform reflect the options provided by the rail operators in real time. We understand that when traveling through an unfamiliar station, having more flexibility between connections can be helpful, and we appreciate you sharing this perspective.

As for storing tickets in Apple Wallet, availability depends on the rail operator and ticket format. Some operators do not currently support Apple Wallet for tickets booked through partner websites. For eligible mobile tickets, you can still present the QR code directly from your PDF ticket or Rail Europe account, and it will be fully valid for travel. However, print-at-home tickets must be printed before travelling, to present onboard.

I enjoyed using this app

I enjoyed using this app. I bought four tickets. I added them to my cart, but the time allowed for checkout was too short. I had to review the itineraries, and by the time I finished, my selections had already been cancelled.

Good Interface for Railway tickets

Good rates. User friendly interface to book a round trip. But didn’t get better choice of seats on one of the trains - Frecciarossa. If layouts are different between the italian train and tgv, there should have been a better way to select seats.

Regarding the duplicate Eurostar tickets, they're not duplicates but separate tickets for Brussels - London and return. The documents and ticket format are generated directly by Eurostar. At Rail Europe, we simply forward the tickets in the same format we receive them from the operator.

For Eurostar journeys, there is also an additional requirement introduced from 1 April 2024: Advance Passenger Information (API). This information must be completed for all passengers before travel to or from the UK. Please note that Eurostar tickets are only fully issued once this information has been completed.

Train conductor is asking for a QR code for the pass. Nowhere in the app is there a relevant QR code. Is there anyway that you could have made traveling even more difficult and complicated?

For Eurail Global Mobile Passes, the QR code required for inspection is generated inside the Eurail's "Rail Planner" app, not in the Rail Europe app or booking confirmation. Once the pass is activated in the Rail Planner app and your trip is added, the QR code appears in the “My Pass” section and updates for each journey day.

We understand this can be confusing if you’re looking in a different app, especially when you’re already at the station or onboard.

Since Eurail passes are managed directly through Eurail’s system and app (Rail Planner app), we recommend always using the Rail Planner app as the reference for tickets and QR codes during travel.
