I strongly advise everyone to stay away from RBL Bank credit cards and loans. The bank engages in unfair and misleading practices that cause unnecessary harassment to customers.
My experience I would like to share – Even after clearing all dues and paying the so-called pre-closure charges, they continued to show false outstanding amounts. The charges levied were unexplained, arbitrary, and kept changing every time — they always came back with some new amount to pay. Despite paying more than what was asked, they still refused to close the credit card account, keeping customers trapped and mentally harassed.
To make matters worse, RBL Bank Credit Card Department also reported "negative repayment behaviour" to other financial institutions, which directly damaged my CIBIL score and credit history. This means their unfair practices can harm your chances of getting loans or credit cards from other banks as well.
After filing a consumer complaint, the bank finally closed my EMI and proceeded with the credit card closure. Their personnel even called me, assuring that the interest charged would be reversed and the excess payment of around ₹5,600 would be refunded. The consumer complaint was then marked as closed on the basis of this call recording and an email confirming the reversal of interest and card closure. However, till date, no refund has been provided.
This is not just poor service – it is a deliberate attempt to exploit customers through false charges and intimidation. No bank should make something as simple as card closure such a painful and never-ending struggle.
If you currently have an active RBL Bank credit card, I strongly suggest you close it immediately to protect yourself from future harassment and damage to your credit score. Such banks can only be fought by ensuring that no customer purchases or applies for credit cards from them.

I’ve been trying to get my API activated for over a month now, and the experience has been nothing short of exhausting and unacceptable. Every few days, there’s a new demand for documentation — despite fulfilling all requirements two weeks ago. Yet, there is still no progress.
What’s worse is the complete lack of accountability and response from the concerned bank staff, especially the manager, who refuses to respond to calls or messages. I’ve followed up consistently, only to be ignored and left hanging without any clarity.
This kind of negligence and poor service is not only unprofessional but also deeply frustrating. I expected better from your institution, but clearly, customer support and efficiency are not priorities.
Please treat this matter as urgent and resolve it without any further delay

I have been customer for 5 years. This time due to the technical problem of the bank the payment made to the cash loan was credited to the credit card account. I raised complaint, the CS person told that technical problem from bank side and he said that the amount will be transferred to the loan account. But not transferred the amount. As soon as the due date is passed the harassment started from the telecallers for payment of dues, which were already paid but due the bank problem I faced the harassment. I raised complaint again and the complaint closed with out contacting me and without any resolution. I have paid amount again to avoid the harassment.
Due to which I faced mental problem and this will impact my credit score also.
Even without the delay from my side and due to the bank problem I have faced this problem and there is no response from the bank side.
There is no email address or customer service phone number to explain my problem and only chat boat / IVR is available which did not solve my problem.
Due to this my hard earned money of more than 26000 lying in the credit card account with out any use.

Disappointed with Hidden Charges and Unjust Deductions
I am extremely disappointed with my experience using the RBL Bank Credit Card. Despite being cautious with my spending, I noticed that unnecessary and unexplained amounts were deducted from my account. These include hidden charges and fees that were never properly communicated at the time of issuance or during usage.
It feels like the bank is engaging in unfair practices, and getting any kind of clarity or resolution from customer care is frustrating and time-consuming. I believe this borders on fraud, especially when deductions are made without prior notice or justification.
I strongly advise others to double-check every charge and think twice before signing up for an RBL credit card. Transparency and trust are the basics of banking — and sadly, I didn’t find either in this experience.

I been fighting with RBL Bank for some unauthorised transactions that happened on RBL issued credit card.I promptly reported the matter within half an hour to the bank with subsequent report to Regional Cybercrime cell but of no use .I call customer care plenty of time and mailed them all the relevant proofs and documents.They told me there it will take 90days to investigate the matter.After 90 days they authorise all the disputed transactions with a remark that all transactions were executed thru NFC vis otp shared by me .All the transaction were realised under some Shushila Devi at allahabad while I was in Chandigarh.I then files my plea at RBI ombudsman which is another useless step they pass on the verdict on the shere communication of RBL Bank and didn’t even bother to ask for my query and justifications
