DR Kathryn is a true professional. I feel at ease and in good hands with Dr Kathryn. I truly value her honest and expert opinion. She does not hard sell unnecessary treatment but truly advises offers the best treatment for you!! Excellent experience on every visit. Highly recommended, definitely the best in the area!

Dr Kathryn is incredible. Her work is subtle but looks so natural. She really listens to your concerns and issues and gives honest and transformative advice in a friendly and approachable manner. Having been to other places and not had anywhere near as good results I won’t be going anywhere else in future!

Dr K has been wonderful in the process. She is professional and client-centred. The clinic is well decorated and gives a calm environment.

I cannot recommend Dr Kathryn and the Real You Clinic highly enough. I have been having treatments with Dr Kathryn for over 10 years and would never go anywhere else.
I have botox, fillers, bio identical hormones and IPL.
On my most recent visit a week ago I had Ellanse filler in my cheek areas, the results are absolutely amazing. Dr Kathryn is an expert at using Ellanse (as with all the treatments I receive). The results have given me a youthful lift which also looks very natural.
Dr Kathryn also used the Nordlys IPL treatment on my upper chest area, I have had a few treatments on my red veins and sun damaged skin. I am so pleased with the results I am now wearing V neck tops with confidence!
The biggest thank you Dr Kathryn for all your treatments, which are always delivered with such knowledge and professionalism and genuine kindness.

Amazing consultation by Dr Kathryn - delivered efficiently and effectively. It is so rare to find good quality advice at such short notice especially as patients like myself don't often know the exact extent of each diagnosis, so it was refreshing that advice was communicated so well and amazingly it was cost free! Dr Kathrine was recommended to me by a friend a few years ago.
My menopause was a total nightmare, from hot sweats that had me leaving places early because I was so uncomfortable or the inability to cope with stressful situation. Dr Katherine has been wonderful. To start she is very approachable and friendly. We started by me having a blood test to check all my hormone levels then I was given treatment personalised for my needs.
Basically I haven’t looked back! 2020-2021 was very stressful for my partner and I, though made so much easier by not having the anxiety,hot sweats or mood swings.
I totally recommend Dr Katherine and bio identical HRT

This review does not reflect Dr Barnes’ clinical skills, but her response to concerns.

I’ve been having treatment with Dr Barnes for 9 years and have always been extremely happy with her approach and the clinical outcomes. Indeed, my satisfaction and trust were such that I had no problem with the 6 hour return journey to the clinic. In a previous Trust Pilot review, I gave the Real You Clinic 5 stars.

This year, however, I emailed Dr Barnes about the unexpected outcomes of 2 treatments, not complaining or blaming, but requesting advice. These and WhatsApp messages to Dr Barnes went unanswered, as did telephone requests via her assistant.
I reported one of the clinical issues to the Ellanse Quality Team, and copied Real You Clinic into the correspondence. Ellanse is still waiting for the clinical details from Dr Barnes, which is an obligation under CQC Reg 17.
I cancelled my last appointment with Dr Barnes, citing my loss of confidence due to her non compliance with CQC regulations regarding patient concerns and quality. No response.
I fully appreciate treatment outcomes do not always go to plan, but clinicians have a duty to respond to client concerns, strive for quality and have candour, in accordance with CQC Regs 16, 17 & 20.
It is always reassuring when a clinician acknowledges a possible clinical issue and investigates it, but trust in the clinician is lost when concerns are neither acknowledged or addressed.

I saw Kathryn Barnes for B12 injections after being diagnosed with a deficiency and not being able to timely treatment from the NHS. Not only did she go out of her way to give me an urgent appointment, she also gave me so much helpful advice and guidance.
On top of the fantastic treatment, she is such a warm, kind and knowledgeable person. It was so clear that she genuinely wants to help people and it was the nicest experience ever. She is literally one in a million :)

I have had a few issues relating to my menopause for a couple of years and put off getting help mostly due to not making time to get things sorted out. Like most of us women do! I can honestly say that Dr Kathryn has changed my life! I wish i have found her sooner. Thank you so much and i highly recommened 100%!!

I went to see Dr. Kathryn last week and I could not be more impressed with her professionalism and lovely manner. She carried out treatment including fillers, botox and removing blemishes from my skin on neck and chest area.
I have been to several practioners over the years and she is by far the most impressive and competent of all. I would not dream of going to anyone else now.

I have seen Dr Kathryn for several years for various skin enhancing treatments. Dr Kathryn immediately makes me feel at ease and listens to my concerns carefully. I was feeling stressed, suffering from brain fog, palpitations and sleep disturbances. This was affecting my ability to work and function on a daily basis. She explained it was very likely hormonal related and suggested blood tests. Within a couple of weeks of taking personally tailored combination of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy I was feeling so much better. My family are very happy to see me back to my old self. My skin is looking so much better too! Thank you so much.

Dr. Kathryn was absolutely delightful – warm, friendly, sympathetic and knowledgeable. I contacted her initially to discuss fillers, but she was very frank about what I really needed at the moment (a facelift to correct sagging skin and neck, to provide the proper structure for any fillers at a later date), and I very much appreciated her honesty. She was extremely helpful in providing information and recommendations, and was genuinely interested to hear from me when I’d made a decision, and to find out how things were progressing, as well as offering further help and advice if I needed this. The consultation with Dr. Kathryn was free of charge, but her advice was invaluable, and I would consult her again without hesitation if and when I need further procedures or treatments. Her straightforward, impartial and objective approach, and her knowledge and expertise, combined with her empathy, was exactly what I needed.
