This is my second review after around 3 months with Rebel. I still maintain that I should have made this switch years ago. I was with BT, who were charging me nearly double to what I pay now with Rebel. I was unsure at first but I really wanted to move away from the greedy 'big-boys' and their unhelpful attitude to customers, especially with a move to full fibre in the very near future. Their website is simple and informative and compliments nicely their easy to use 'Plume' app. My experience is their customer service do far is excellent. The quality of their broadband is very good and their router was easy to set up and though bigger than some, looks very smart. I still have no hesitation whatsoever, in recommending Rebel.

Been with rebel for maybe eight months?
It’s been spotty.
But hopefully that’s now finally come to an end.
They offer really good customer service. When I pick up the phone to call them, I get straight through to a human without any switchboard.
Huge positive and I hope that they can keep that going and not go back on that in the future.
When I email them a support issue that email team actually picks up the ticket and respond to it promptly. Usually, I don’t want to do that sort of thing because you never hear back.
When I’ve logged issues via email, especially this latest time they don’t mess about with pointless troubleshooting steps that you know Isn’t going to fix the issue. They just straight up book an engineer to come out.
Same again with this most recent issues with unreliable service.
Toby made sure to dispatch an engineer without any need for back-and-forth or confirming any faults or anything else really. Really liked that.
So I guess I can still write them five stars, even though I’ve had unreliable service because the fault really lay with openreach in the end. It wasn’t really in their court.
I think as a business, they could maybe take a more proactive approach to finding faults and fixing them.
If I’m really being tight, why should I have to wait to tell them there’s an issue when every time I tell them there’s an issue, The response acknowledges it straight away because their systems can clearly see there’s an issue. As a business that relies on our connection for not only the Internet but also our landline having their unreliable service even if it wasn’t their fault could’ve been drastically reduced, had they made me aware to the length of the issues.
For example, after the engineer fixed the fault at the top of the telephone pole, he told us that a restriction had already been placed on our line to lessen the affected symptoms. Throttling our service well below what we were paying for.
It may well not be rebel Internet that did that, (who knows) but they certainly had the ability to know about it.
I think, ultimately that’s why I’m going four stars here.
Great customer service and great problem-solving once I go to them but they stayed quiet and didn’t tell me about the fact that my service had been throttled and restricted for X amount of time. Their system must’ve been flagging my line as problematic for awhile.

Excellent service, excellent communication and a huge level of empathy regarding my situation.
Thank you so much Toby for helping me resolve my issue.
I would 100% recommend this provider.

Great company offering flexible periods of contract for broadband, and understanding customer services with solutions to mitigating circumstances. However, note that when you set up contract online it does not auto check whether your [property needs physical connection engineer or not, but if so this is no extra cost per market norms nowadays.
Given how bad EE and other companies are with such things, worth a look if you move around a lot.

AN ABSOLUTE BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!! Fantastic customer service and customer care given each and every time I have contacted Rebel Internet. Promptly answering my call within seconds - no endless waiting. Call back service you can even specify an exact time to call you back! But they always promptly answering the phone. Very professional, attentive and empathetic staff. It is evident that they absolutely care about their customers and are interested in everything that I am saying on the call. Staff are on the ball and get things sorted immediately. Never having to call back they actually call you again to make sure that everything is fine. Internet quality, equipment and speeds are fantastic never have I had any issues it’s extremely reliable and efficient. In a dream world this is how a company should be. They are one of a kind! Amazing! Well done Rebel you are an outstanding company! A cut above the rest!

Great experience so far, even had my part fibre speed increased because I emailed and they sent an engineer around which fixed issues with my cabling, did not actually expect an increase!
Thank you to Justice from rebel and the open reach engineer!

Possibly the worst customer service ever experienced.
They cancelled my broadband saying Openreach said I’d signed up for broadband with another company.
The company was Rebel Internet.
Directors need to employ staff who can prove they passed a basic level of education.
7 hours of my life wasted teaching morons how to do their jobs.
*AVOID THIS COMPANY*
Their reply is as pathetic and idiotic as their employees. What’s threatening about asking for my money back? As also stole £155 from my bank which they haven’t returned.
They need to change their name to “COWBOY Internet”

"I have been without internet since February 28th, and my experience with Rebel Internet has been a nightmare. While they were initially helpful, it quickly devolved into a cycle of me constantly chasing them for updates that never came. On Monday, March 2nd, a Director explicitly promised an update by 4:00 PM. That deadline passed with total silence. I had to start composing my own follow-up email at 4:01 PM and sent it at 4:05 PM because they simply didn't hold themselves accountable to their own word.
When I held them responsible for these failures, their only response was to blame Openreach. I reminded them that my contract is with Rebel, not Openreach, yet they refused to take ownership. The gaslighting peaked yesterday when they claimed the 'system was confused' because I have a new supplier taking over on March 6th. To be clear: I only sought a new supplier because Rebel has repeatedly failed me in the past. Using my attempt to leave as an excuse for their current total failure is both manipulative and dishonest.
It took me four days of constant pressure just to get them to agree to an £80 refund—which won't even hit my account until the end of the week. This amount is a drop in the ocean compared to the actual damage caused. I work remotely, and this outage has put my job at risk; I’ve even had to pay out of pocket for mobile data bolt-ons just to stay connected.
Most importantly, Rebel has shown a total lack of empathy for my household, which includes a disabled and vulnerable autistic individual. Our Sky Glass TV is useless without an active connection, removing a vital resource for a person who relies on routine. Despite all this, Rebel claimed a deadlock letter 'wouldn't be useful.' It is absolutely useful to me, as I intend to take this to the Ombudsman to highlight their failure in their Duty of Care and the distress they have caused.
A delayed £80 refund does not fix the stress, the lost wages, or the impact on a vulnerable household. If you value honesty, reliability, or an ISP that actually keeps its promises, stay far away from Rebel Internet."
UPDATE [3rd of march 2026]: A masterclass in poor service and blame-shifting.
After 5 days of no service, Rebel Internet is now attempting to "pass the buck" back to me. Their support representative, Kristi, has claimed my service won’t be restored due to "payment history"—a blatant attempt to gaslight a customer for the company's own systemic failings.
The Facts:
1. Unauthorized Charges: Rebel previously attempted to withdraw an unauthorized £320 "exit fee" while I was still in contract. Their own previous account manager (gary) admitted this was an error and waived it. Now, they are trying to weaponize their own mistake against me.
2. Inflexible Billing: Despite being told my wages clear at 6:00 AM on the 18th, their system insists on pulling funds at midnight. I have consistently ensured they were paid in full once the funds cleared, yet they use this 6-hour window as an excuse for their incompetence.
3. Breach of Contract: I am in contract until March 6th. They have formally stated they are "unlikely" to restore my service, which is a clear breach of contract. They are refusing to provide the service I am paying for while ignoring their legal obligation to pay daily compensation (£9.33/day) for total loss of service.
I have requested a Deadlock Letter and will be taking my bank receipts and all correspondence to the Communications Ombudsman.
Avoid this provider if you value honesty and reliable billing. Moving to Sky can’t come soon enough.

the ombudsman also didn’t help and didn’t even pull this company up for the gaslighting and even though i told them i spoken to rebel about staying over the phone, clearly the company system forgot to log it or they left this out.
STRONGLY STAY AWAY FOR THIS COMPANY THEIR USELESS AND THERE BILLING SYSTEM IS USELESS.
oh also rebel you get your teach back as you now just sent the box for me to do so and to even make sure you don’t try and charge me i am sending it recorded delivery so i have proof!!

After recently moving flat in Manchester, the Rebel team, specifically Dhivya, was on hand to help me with any and every question I had about getting our router set up in our new home. The change was swift and seamless which is always a positive when moving home. The product is fantastic, with a fixed tariff that doesn't fluctuate month on month with fast reliable internet service.

Getting connected was easy. Excellent communication throughout and broadband connection has been rock solid. All this on a reasonably priced, rolling monthly contract. Excellent service.

Ultra responsive customer service, no nonsense good quality internet.

I tried to get Rebel fibre Internet. They promised within 10 days.
This was delayed by Openreach needing to do some connection work.
When I asked for a refund because I couldn’t wait three months, they promptly refunded me.
I couldn't ask for better customer service than that.
- They can't deliver,
- They paid me back.
- Brilliant.

Rebel installed and commissioned my fibre broadband with competence and efficiency. The monthly contract is ideal for someone in temporary rented accommodation.

Fantastic customer service especially Toby who I have managed to liaise with when issues have risen I would highly recommend this product as it is very fast and the extensions look amazing

Customer service is outstanding. I was previously a Virgin customer. Had a delay as OpenReach had to fix the connection initially, but Emma at Rebel was responsive and helpful to get us online. Everything really clear and easy to set up, now we have it working, it's way faster in the house than Virgin. Like the app too. Very happy to have changed provider.

I recently arranged Full Fibre Broadband installation with Rebel Internet via the BT Openreach network, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish.
The customer service I received particularly from Justice, was professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. She kept me fully informed throughout the process, clearly explaining what to expect on installation day and how I would be supported if any issues arose.
The engineer arrived within the agreed appointment window, was polite, and answered all my questions. After installation, Justice personally followed up, going through a thorough checklist and even arranging callback times to suit 'my' schedule and she called exactly when promised.
I have a fairly complex and customised network at home which I wanted to maintain with minimal disruption and this was accommodated through the use of PPPoE protocol.
Basically, the BT Open Reach ONT device gets the Fibre into the property and handshakes with my own ASUS router which handles everything within my network.
Advertised speeds of 1Gbps with real world average wired speeds of 860Mbps and above and wireless of between 500-800Mbps depending on proximity to router.
The level of care went well beyond my expectations. I’ve now been with Rebel Internet for 11 months since switching from a larger well-known provider, and I remain extremely satisfied with both the service and the customer care. Thus far I've also dealt with a 'David' and a 'Toby' and simply cannot fault them.
Thanks again to Justice and the whole Rebel team.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rebel Internet based on my experience.
