Below is my review that I wrote on 24th December 2023 and I got the same reply from Recordgo on 26th of December without getting my problem solved. The problem is the customer service of Recordgo is not willing to assist me and said the case closed. That is no service and responsibility. I just feel being cheated and scammed as long as my 1400 Euro for the car excess deposit is not returned to me!
"TITLE: RECORDGO CHEATED ME 1400 EURO
Since mid of this year 2023, Recordgo said they will return my excess of 1400 Euro that they had deducted during my car rental instead of holding it. I did not receive month after month, and they keep telling me to wait for 30 days over 30 days. After several months, they insisted that they have credited to my bank account and asked me to check with my bank without giving me any proof that they are transacted to my bank even I asked for it. Recently, I received a reply from my bank that they did not receive any payment from Recordgo returning 1400 Euro into my account. I wrote to Recordgo again, they did not want to solve the problem from not paying me back my 1400 Euro and said they have closed the case. This is an act of cheating customer's money!!!

I hired a car from Malaga Airport and when I returned it they have taken money from my deposit for damage I didn’t do. When checking in the receptionist said to look around the car and take photos of any damage not previously recorded on the rental agreement “that is all the proof we need”. I photographed a scratch on the bumper as it wasn’t recorded and went on my way. When returning the car the guy at the desk was very keen for me to just drop the keys off and not bother with any paperwork etc. I wasn’t happy with this and asked for him to take a look at the car so that he was happy there was no damage. He walked around the car with a tablet and said to me that there wasn’t any problems at all. Several hours later I received an email saying that I owed £180 for a scratch to the front bumper, a scratch I’d taken a photo of and could have explained it was already there. The guy had lied to my face!!! There is a reason these companies are so cheap it’s because they rely on these false damage claims to make their money. I will not be using this company again!!!

I had many other photos of several other scratches and dents which they had record of, thank goodness I did.
The staff were very hostile and borderline abusive if we questioned their claim that we caused the damage. Luckily we had insurance of our own, but still, that’s not the point.

I am being accussed of a damage that was there when I picked up the car and they told me about. I even have pictures and their paperwork to document that it is false but the still charge me. They will not respond over phone or email so as of now they have charges me over 1000€ for damage to the car I did not do!!!

I booked a car through Ebooker to be picked up at Malaga airport.
1- Upon arrival, there was a long queue and I had to wait for around 60 mins to reach the counter
2- I knew about the deposit of more than £1000 but on top of it, they charged £113 for the fuel in case I don't return the tank full. Other companies only charge when it is not given back full. Anyhow, I have received both back in full as I was very careful and did not get into the trap which was waiting.
3- I was given Alpha Romeo SUV and I was told it is brand new and has no damage. If it has any damage, I can take photos and email them to customer services.
The car pick up is by walk around .75 km away from the rental desk. It is the last stop and not easy to walk with heavy bags. Anyhow when I checked the car, it was full of scratches and damages. I took pictures. That means I am doing their job to notify the damages. There were no signals in the basement so I could send the email before I left. It gave me too much stress to send those photos whenever I could connect to the internet.
4- Customer service was good on the email and I was advised to show the images when I delivered the car back which I did and I got a full refund in 2 days for both.
5- The car was not clean. The screen wash was empty.
For the above reasons, I will never use this company again.

We ordered a Alfa Romeo Tonale, at arrival we received some awful Jeep compass. When we asked why we didn’t get the car we ordered they said it is based on availability.
Then suddenly another employee walked in with a lot of keys of prepared cars, and there where 2 keys of Alfa Romeo Tonales. So we said, look now they are available, and the guy at the desk confirmed, but then said if we wanted that Alfa Romeo Tonale we had to pay €20 extra a day. Unbelievable….
In the end we took the Jeep Compass, which was full of damages.
A few days later we brought the car back, 30 minutes after handing over the car we received a invoice of €1435 for damages on the car. Luckily we made lots of pictures when we took the car with us and when we handed it in, so we can proof that these damages where already there.
To everyone out there, watch out for this company, they are scammers!! Fraud!!

It's worst company and completely scam to client. I took rent twice from this company and they took deposit 100 for fuel and 100 for toll. That mean I paid 200 euro each time . Total I paid 400 euros . I return the car will fill fuel . They said you will refund all the money within 10 days . It's over 10 days . I just received only 100 euros . Where is rest of 300 ? I emailed them last week . No response at all. Open scamming with people with big sign board . Shame on record go .

when i got to the rent a car desk, they told me i had to pay 100€ for gas tank and another 100€ for the ViaVerde batch, wich i dont use at all, so in total 85 for the car with insurance, then 100 for gas and 100 more for that stupid s*** i dont use. total cost of the rential 285 and the stupid brainwashed employee blamed the portuguese law instead of understandig that the law in this specific case was designed for the company but instead the customer is paying everything

Disgraceful levels of customer service
Delivered the car 45 minutes late despite us arriving on time. It wasn’t ready to be collected and so we waited in the boiling sun whilst they valeted it. When I complained about this, they told me that I signed the agreement on time. Yes, I know, because I arrived on time but they didn’t have a car ready at that time despite booking in advance.
The car then had a faulty head unit. We were driving along mountainous roads with a wonderful fixed view of our reversing camera stuck on the screen. Again, we complained, they ignored our complaint and said we should have told them and come back to swap it. We were 3 hours away and I told them that!!!
Finally they have charged my partners card rather than the pre auth they said. It should have been returned. It’s now over 2 weeks later and they still owe us £1000
All of this has been put in writing to them and each time they just tell us they’re done looking at it, without actually addressing any of the points. I doubt they care about Trustpilot given their disgraceful score, but please avoid them and go with someone else

Reason was they was not safe because there was already lot of damage on car. Inwas also wondering Ans took a look of the car i book. I told the staff there is some big damage and what should we do.
