Extremely poor service.
Very disappointed with this company. I've had a number of renewal messages from them and even a boast that they've managed to keep price rises low this year. However, my renewal quote for car breakdown cover was double what I paid last year. Like many of the previous comments I've been unable to contact them by phone for the last 3 days, which is the only way they'll accept auto-renewal cancellation. I have not had a reply to the email that I sent in frustration. I finally got through after another 35 minute wait this afternoon [and awful, manic, recorded music to listen to] only to find that I can get a much better price via a comparison site than they can offer me direct, for exactly the same product. Ridiculous.

On 4th April £3.52 taken from my credit card this was not authorised.Should only have used when insurance was up for renewal which is not til November.As I have automatic renewal which I shall be cancelling in writing to them as like others not answering phone calls or emails.Have been in touch with my credit card and they are sending a form to me to sign and return and that will stop this company from claiming payments from my credit card.

This company has (I suspect deliberately) made it as hard as possible, if not outright impossible, to cancel any automatic renewal. Firstly, I never opted into automatic renewal. Secondly, I did not need nor want the cover.
I tried multiple times on multiples date to call them via the number they provided only to spend 20 minutes or more at a time on hold. They do not respond to emails or letters, let alone answer phone calls.
Furthermore, by explicitly refusing to accept cancellations in writing, they are in breach of the law regarding consumer rights as well as discrimination of deaf, mute and other hearing/speech impaired people who can not use telephone services.
I encourage anyone who has had dodgy dealings with this company to REPORT Recover Cover (a trading name of Dynamo Cover) to Trading Standards and the Financial Services Authority.

Not even worth 1 star! This company needs shutting down, took my breakdown out a year ago bad decision wish i would of read the reviews first! Had to keep ringing them and asking for my email confirmation finally recieved it and luckily touch wood i havnt had to use there service but now iv recieved my renewal email i can no longer get through no matter which call option you choose, your on the phone waiting for 20 minutes telling you that your moving up the que only to seem as though they answer and hang up straight away, so now your stuck because it says it wont acknowledge emails regarding cancelling your policy.. my opinion is to cancel your bank card and get a new one so they cant take the money out, its Absolutely disgusting and scammers like these shouldnt be allowed to get away with it!
Appalling customer service
I have been trying to cancel my policy all week, i've sent 2 emails and and have called every day, held for 20 minutes then get cut off. How on earth am I to speak to someone when this is the only way they except cancellation of policies!

1 star is generous. Unable to get through to anyone on the phone to cancel renewal. Sit on hold for 20 minutes they answer and immediately hang up. Repeat and happens again. Disgraceful considering they claim you cannot cancel via email.

Further to my post a few days ago regarding Dynamo taking £3.92 from my bank account without my permission, they are now not answering their phones! Anyone any knowledge of what’s going on with this company? Have been reading my policy whereby they auto renew unless you tell them in writing which I will definitely do as reviews point out they use another scam to charge by taking your money direct from your card they keep on file and will not refund even though you’ve cancelled. I do not want my card kept on file by them so will also look into that… be very vigilant and check your bank account🤦🏼♀️

Was on the phone waiting for 30 mins before getting cut off, called back and number is constantly not reachable, all i wanted to do is cancel my Auto renewal and question why an additional payment taken from my account with no notification. Will defo not be using them again. STAY AWAY!!!

I was unfortunate to have cover with this company. When I sold my car, I requested that the cover was moved to my new vehicle which they refused to do. 6 months later, they automatically renewed the cover taking payment from my credit card (which I did not authorise, nor authorise them to keep the card details on file).
When I complained, they requested proof that I'd sold the car, which of course I didn't have as it was sold 6 months previously. I referred them to their own emails where I'd told them I'd sold the car and wanted the cover transferred, but they wouldn't accept this as proof, despite previous correspondence from them where they had changed T&C's part way through the cover, and taken my automatic acceptance of it as the email didn't bounce. Pointed out that changing contracts part way through unilaterally without any authorisation from myself was illegal but they ignored that.
The best part is that when I said I'd refer it to the credit card company, they THREATENED TO TAKE ME TO COURT.
I complained in writing, but never heard back at all. In the end I had to just absorb the cost of the renewal, but I had to warn the credit card company not to authorise any payments (I even got a replacement card so the details they had weren't valid any more), and send a recorded letter + emails telling them they weren't authorised for any more payments.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - they're scammers plain and simple.
Avoid, auto renewal nightmare
These guys make it as difficult as possible to prevent an auto renewal of your breakdown policy. Despite stating at policy outset That I didn’t want the policy to auto renew, it auto renewed. This year I have cancelled the policy via email and over the phone and they are still attempting to renew. They charge you the policy amount plus a cancellation fee if you have the audacity to actually cancel it once you realise you have been charged.

Terrible. Same scam as everyone else. Automatic renewal and customer service who won't refund and couldn't care less as this seems to be mainly where they make their money. Scammers.

They said it will be £9.99 to cancel! Even though I haven’t used and no longer need. From reading reviews I requested the policy is not renewed & have been ignored. I have no idea how to block from them taking more money that I do not authorise.

My advice would be Go with a reliable trusting company they may be slightly more expensive but anything is better than this atrocious company! STEER CLEAR.

This company is a bunch of sneaky crooks! I took out a policy with them and they automatically renewed the policy without warning! £60. I didn't want the policy so I asked them to return the money, they would not! They said that they can remove auto renewal for next year or cancel the policy for this year for a £10 fea, still keeping the £60 that they had only just taken! So, lost £60 for a policy I no longer needed, plus if I wanted to cancel it, pay a further £10
This company offers zero service and zero logic. Doesn't even deserve 1 star! They claim to have 95% happy customer reviews but no reviews are actually shown, more lies! The small print states that they will contact me 20 days before renewal, no contact at all. More lies.
Absolutely awful service
Absolutely awful service. They left my wife and 2 kids in her car for 3 and a half hours in the cold in the dark. She had to make so many calls, arrange a taxi herself and felt like no one at the company had a clue how to run their operation. Don't touch these clowns, it's worth paying a bit more for a better company

Really bad service !!!!!!!! Rude staff spoke to a girl called Amy no clue what she’s talking about !!! Waiting here for ages for them to get to me to let me know if am allowed in the recovery truck !!!!!! Pointless just taking my bike. Been waiting 30 mins for them just to get back to me with that. My last recovery came within 15 mins once when I broke down even though bit more pricy I’ll defo be going back with them
